Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Pretty good fight for FNF this week. I think Arnaoutis can take a decision, because Rodriguez has lost a step since the Diaz issue.

How is Diaz doing any way ?
That was a scary moment he had against Rodriguez on FNF.

Last I heard he was recovering, and has gotten most of his motor skills back. Doctors were very optimistic about a full recovery. That was scary he was in a coma for what? 2-3 months.

Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
I seen Delvin last Saturday at a fight card and he looked a bit ill....Kind of drained

He'd pretty tall for a Welter isn't he? he's over 6 foot if I'm not mistaken, and he doesn't have that ultra thin frame like Paul Williams, I wonder if his body is telling him to move up to 154. Or maybe I'm just reading too far into it. Did he look sick? or just light?
-
Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Even is Arnaoutis wins I'm skeptical that he would get the decision. Despite our best efforts, Rodriguez is far more known than the most ducked Greek god in the sport.

He looked weak...THB it is the best way to describe it...Kind of like the I could use a meal look....He had on a jacket so I could not really judge how the body looked I am going on what his face looked like.....
Think your right he is abt 6 ft...
Then again it is the first time I ever seen him in person so maybe that is how he looks....People always look different on TV then in person

Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Arnaoutis is a sausage farmer.

Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Fight could go either way but I'll back Arnaoutis in this one.
-
Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Personally I would like to see Mighty Mike win this one...He has had a rough time of it lately....I know he has had some promotion and managerial problems the last few years so hopefully it is the reason he has had such a rough time in the ring....I know he is a better fighter then Coleman or Ortiz so lets root for the hurtle to be jumped and Mighty Mike march towards a title shot
-
Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
I see this as a toss up, neither guy is particulary special. But both will make for a decent fight i think.
-
Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Both fighters weighed in at 146 1/4 pounds.
-
Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Really looking forward to this one.Have come to like Rodriguez but he has been in some tough ones as of late, taking hits.Think mighty Mike may be too sharp and in form for him.
Any word on undercard?
-
Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Well I guess I'll be the one to go out on a limb and say that Rodriguez is way too big for Mike, he still has a real welterweight punch, and he should put the Greek to bed inside of eight...

I'm thinking Demetrius Andrade vs. Tomato Can #10 and maybe
Joe "with a strong amatuer background" Greene vs. Chris "Durable stepping stone, been in with better competition, but always on the losing end" Gray.

I have never seen any of the Holyfield - Bowe fights. I have all of them downloaded, but I've never gotten around to watching them. Absurd, I know.

Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
If you had either ESPN2 or ESPN CLassic that woul be nearly impossible to avoi those fights. As it is, that's pretty ridiculous those are far an away the best heavyweight fights since Frazier-Ali.
-
Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Hopefully Atlanta fades in the 3rd quarter so I can keep my attention undivided.

I don't have either of those two stations. They cost extra here in Canada.
I know I need to see the fights, I've had them downloaded forever. I want to watch them all at the same time and I just haven't gotten around to it.

Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.

Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
I have a feeling this is going rounds. Mostly because Teddy said KO in 2, but also because Andrade is already toying with him.
-
Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Comparing Andrade's level of competition to Rigondeaux's (sp?) is ridiculous.
-
Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Geeeezzzzzussss teddy give it a rest. This kid is 22 years old his freaking voice even still cracks, besides if andrade fought anyone better we'd have nothing to watch on here. For nine wins and not even winning in the olympics (scoring bad yea yea, the guy who did win gold managed to do ok) bums is what this guy needs. He's really not all that great yet. Either way spending the whole fight talking about it ain't gonna change his mind.
-
Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Andrade trying to hard to look like something hes not yet...a star.Just fight and do what your suppose to do.

I agree. He's still got some flaws he needs to work on and, like you say, he's just a kid. He's still filling into his frame and I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up fighting a couple of divisions higher when he's done growing.

Andrade should of got this clown out of there already

Ding ding....leaving himself open to criticism. You wanna spar do it in the gym

Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
This is the stiffest test he's faced as a pro so far :-\
I think the model for bringing a fighter up slowly but smartly is the one the Goosens and Virgil Hunter lai out for Andre Ward. They matched him almost exclusively with at least capable guys who Andre could learn something against. He may have had to trea in some tough waters early and may have been written way prematurely by those who saw him rocked and knocked down early in his career but at least he was facing resistance. Another thing they did was they didn't schedule his career around TV, he was off TV for a really long time which was good for him. When you see a guy beating up bums like Andrade on ESPN2 all the time, what good is it doing? None at all really.

This isn't much beyond a glorified sparring session. The outcome is not in doubt.

Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
Sruiell's wax on, wax off punches aren't very effective.

Re: Arnaoutis vs. Rodriguez.
This kid is asking what to do against this talentless guy, and atlas wants him to fight a klitch already. I can't wait to hear teddy after povetkin gets the crap kicked out of him. This thing is going six, and it should, he's going to learn tons from this. And stop comparing him to gamboa....whole different animal all together..
