Who wins? I think a Hopkins win would be one of the greatest moments in boxing history, let there be a God ;D
Hopkins needs to hang em up , and if the fight went ahead would probably get pummeled. I can think of heaps of other fights i'd rather see Haye in...
Haye v Adamek
Haye v Wlad
Haye v Vitali
Haye v Chambers
Haye v Povetkin
Haye v Arreola
Haye v Solis.
just to name a few.
I really believe that Haye knocks him out cold. Hopkins hasn't the workrate nor power to keep Haye honest and would get beaten up. Haye is 50 pounds ahead of Hopkins and far younger and fresher. Hopkins has looked ancient in his last two fights.
Depends if Haye hits Hopkins with a shot on the belt line or taps him in the back of the head.
If so then Hopkins by DQ.
who wins?
heres a clue, he aint called hopkins ;D
loving the bitterness on here! valuev will beat him, ruiz will stop him etc etc keep it coming yer mugs
To the title of this thread, i'm just gonna say NO.... What a joke of an idea. Hopkins Haye, come one. Hopkins hasn't even fought the best Light Heavies Dawson / Pascal), never mind even steppin up to cruiser, and even then skipping to Haye at heavy, not a chance IMO.
Please god NO!!!
At last we have a heavy weight champion who is young and exciting and entertains the fans.
Last thing we want is for him to fight a old con man like Hopkins who has done nothing to deserve a shot at Haye.
Hopkins would 100% get knocked out.
Hopkins would get absoloutely massacared inside a round
No way he`d leave the arena of his own accord
Hopkins is done. He would get stopped for the first time. That fight would be a mismatch. Hopkins was looking for handouts against a 10 fight past his prime RJJ. Haye would have no disadvantage against Hopkins. Or mercy. Hopkins doesn't want and won't get that fight.
This would be a joke of a fight and Hopkins would get KTFO quickly. I can't imagine there'd be anyone out there who would actually want to see this fight...
Massacre.
hopkins is an old ass man, but just to be fair he seems to trancend time and space. fact of the matter is he does not look his age and there are times when he looks like a 20 year old in there. "he would probably get pumbled" is what I said before he fought Kelly Pavlik in a fight where he did not only beat the hard hitter that was young enough to be his son, he destroyed him. After that I decided that the prediction that "he would probably get pumbled" is a prediction that I would never make against the man again. Untill age proves to have cought up with him, Hopkins is a valid challenge against any top dog in the sport today as far as am concerned.
I think that Hopkins shouldn't go toe to toe with the big guy because his wrestling techniques just wouldn't work against power muscle house like Haye or Adamek plus a bigger frame means more energy to fuel it and at 45 years of age, I am not certain Bernie has what it takes to get it running.
This is a complete joke.
Hopkins wouldn't get out of the 2nd round with haye, and david would be silly to take the fight as there are loads more credible in his division.
Depends on what the script writers tell them to do. Nothing with Hopkins in it will ever be real, Haye might get $2Mil to let Hopkins "Last" 2 rounds then hit him with a chair or something to end the "Fight". He's fucking 45 years old you fucking retards...........
I would prefer for Hopkins to retire.
Hopkins didn't look right last night.
I would be seriously worried for Hopkins if a Haye fight went down.
I can't believe people are even discussing this fight, Hopkins is an old man who had his best days at MW, Haye is a genuine HW who spent too long draining himself to make CW but I know he wanted to emulate Evander by unifying both divisions so fair play to him on that. But Haye is close to prime now and I think next time out providing he gets a good training camp in (he hasn't sparred for 4 weeks due to a cut in training this time around), he will look awesome, last night he was good but made defensive mistakes and was caught with jabs that showed a lack of sparring.
Back to the point though, Haye would crush Hopkins, too big, too strong, too fast and far too heavy handed. Hopkins has only just filled out to a genuine 175lbs fighter and to imagine him any heavier than 185lbs is beyond me. I don't think he is big enough for CW let alone HW.
