Maybe Edwin Valero, Tim Bradley, Devon Alexander.

I doubt it will be Edwin Valero he can't even fight in the USA, with all his problems. And with all the medical problems he has, i can't see him fighting in the long term.
Timothy Bradley/Devon Alexander one of them will be P4P star. But its basically who wins between them when they fight, because there the best Jr Welterweights out there at the moment.

As to the question of who will be p4p king? geezus that's tough, but the winner of the Super Six will have a hell of a resume.

Re: who will be the p4p king 4 years from now?
The Super Six won't be finished four years from now.
-
Re: who will be the p4p king 4 years from now?
Out of the list I would pick Bradley.....Dawson does not have enough quality comp in his division or CW to get the fights that would propel him into that status

But look at it this way bro, i can see quite a few of the Super Middleweight's. Moving up to Light Heavyweight in the future, there's no way they will spend there career at Super Middleweight, look at Jean Pascal for example. Another Super Middleweight who moved up, now he's fighting Chad Dawson in which should be a cracking fight.

If that happens then I could see it...But for now I have to say Bradley...TBH Dawson has not been too spectacular in recent bouts...He has spent the last 2 years fighting Johnson and Tarver....He is not slated to fight again till August...Against a tough Pascal....At this pace he will burn his career out before having a chance to get into the big fights....ALA Jermain Taylor

why is ivan calderon on that list. He is old and best days are clearly past.
-
Re: who will be the p4p king 4 years from now?
cant believe nobodys picked berto out yet?
The obvious choice apart from gamboa surely?
-
Re: who will be the p4p king 4 years from now?
Bradley or Alexander. From that list I'd go for Bradley
-

Re: who will be the p4p king 4 years from now?
Ward is probably the best shout no way Bradley. Calderon haha a Hammer moment there!! Calderon will be about 40 in 4 years time lol.

Only loss of his career.. We'll see, though; I stick with my previous assertion.

To be fair the only fighter who was half decent he has faced.

That's very true, but a few factors that may have attributed to that loss -
1) Moving down in weight
2) Illness that required 85% of his colon to be removed a few months after that fight
I think he has enough to pull off the upset and hand Ward his first loss. He always has a punchers chance in any fight. Hell, he even knocked Miranda down in their fight.

You’re absolutely right, Ivan should not be on that list. Nonito also doesn’t fit here, for different reasons of course.
To get back to the question : that depends when Floyd will retire for good, if that will happen sooner than 4 years then I would like Bad Chad in the top.
-
Re: who will be the p4p king 4 years from now?
I say Andre Ward; and it would not surprise me to see him and Chad Dawson fight for the number 1 spot when the time comes.
-
Re: who will be the p4p king 4 years from now?
Its too hard to tell 4 years away. I reckon it could well be a guy not even mentioned on here.
-
Re: who will be the p4p king 4 years from now?
Other, the winner of this super 6 would probably be top p4p years from now. There are soo many people out there and so many classes in boxing etc, there are people who could be p4p the best in their weight class but never see a p4p list
-
Re: who will be the p4p king 4 years from now?
Gamboa.
He's got the fastest hands in the world.

Miranda was off balance, not to mention wasn't even hurt by the punch...

That's useless without a Visa. Valero is denied entry to the US, because of a drunk driving charge in Texas.
P4P, 4 - years I'd say Juan Ma is in a good spot for that.

lopez-gamboa will be the pacquiao-marquez of future years!!

Re: who will be the p4p king 4 years from now?
I'd go with Chad Dawson from the list, but Andre Ward overall.
Ward will move up and beat Dawson in 2012 to become the p4p champ.

I think both Dirrell & Ward would beat Dawson if they ever move up.
I pick Gamboa simply because he is the more exciting fighter. I would of picked Bradley but something tells me he is itching to move up to 147 which IMO will be bad.

Bradley is a solid fighter but no way do I see greatness in him. I can't imagine he'd ever get close to the level of a Mayweather, Pacquaio, Mosely or even Cotto.
He's a solid world champ and capable of being a Ring champ or undisputed at 140 but he's not beating the best guys at welterweight which is what he'd need to do to get anywhere near p4p number 1 in the world.
He has the potential to be on the level maybe of a Hatton, Corales or Castillo imo, i.e a worthy opponent for a p4p number 1 guy, but he's getting exposed if he meets them.

Re: who will be the p4p king 4 years from now?
Yuriorkis will at least be a quadruple champ by that time, 126,130,135 and 140 lbs. Maybe even 147, he is definitely small for that weightclass though like Manny.

Ive been saying this from the very 1st time ive seen gamboa
He just has the structure of a natural welterweight. It bodes well for him now that he can make 123/124pounds when required because eventually when he does move through the weights he`ll be able to allign himself as a multi weight world champion

Yeah I immediatley thought Devon. He's certainly going to be in big fights. He is the unified champ but he's calling the challengers out. You dont often see that. I expect good things from him. He can move and bang. Good mix for whatever style he comes up against.
