Article on Margarito's "comeback"...
Antonio Margarito fights to reclaim reputation, licenses - ESPN Los Angeles
i seriously hope the bum he fights renders Antonio unconscious, this little quote from Arum shows how big of a pig he really is
"People who really know very little about the fact would like to sentence this guy to purgatory for the rest of his life, and that's really outrageous and wrong," Arum said.

Said the fat pig who did advocate that Luis Resto should never fight after he did injure Billy Collins, a guy HE used to promote. All about business, nothing about ethics, fuc* Arum
Re: Article on Margarito's "comeback"...
I find it hillarious that arum has anything to say about floyd accusing pac while he backs a proven cheater like he's done nothing wrong. Dude shouldn't fight period. Why do we have to have a resto before anyone cares.
Re: Article on Margarito's "comeback"...
Funny how Arum's opinions on the matter before the Pac-Cotto fight have now changed that Margarito is up for re-instatement. This man is the biggest stain on boxing in the last 40 years, even more so than King, because at least King got the bad press he deserved.

Effectively. Fat flip flop all about profit.

"He has been a model citizen in the boxing community. He has been a role model, and this has been a horrendous experience for him, and he wants to clear his reputation and move forward."
Sorry (not) Margarito but your reputation is soiled forever never to return to the glory days, you can't take back the cheating you tried and the perceived cheating you did in the ring. Say what you will but you are a cheater in the worst way and you lost 95% of your fans. I'm hoping Garcia knocks you out in the same fashion as Mosely did but worse.

Yeah, what don't we know Bob? What else is going on? Margarito had a trial. What facts were missing?
Is it the same ol' line "Margarito didn't know his trainer put those in his wrap?" Nobody knew his trainer did this? But yet Team Margarito knows this never happened before??? Terrible contradiction! If you want us to believe Margarito didn't know then Team Margarito has to acknowledge Margarito may have fought like this every time his trainer wrapped his hands. Arum needs to realize his antics won't even work on elementary kids. Bob, you're better off not commenting. You look silly each time out.

I didn't realize about that contradiction till you got it on the carpet, quite a good one.
Re: Article on Margarito's "comeback"...
As much as I disagree with what he did especialy because it was against one of my favourite fighters in Shane however he is an entertaining fighter and I'd like to see him in some good brawls but maybe they could steal his purse and give it to a charity! ;D
Re: Article on Margarito's "comeback"...
I really wish Bob Arum would hurry up and die.
Re: Article on Margarito's "comeback"...
Don't take what promoters say to hear, they all need to sell fights and make money just like lawyers and insurance salesman.

You're absolutely right. Its just that this guy keeps yapping about it like Margarito is the one who was done wrong. Its more an irritation.

Indeed, and people forget that there was dried blood on the loads in his gloves. It's not really perception at this point cuz he sure as hell wasn't wearing them when he was training. What would have been the point? The Mosley fight was not the first time, perception out the window.
People can watch him if they want but he needs to switch professions IMO. He's a hack, cheater who got caught and should be shunned. If people want to watch this guy get back into a ring he disgraced, then have at it. He has NOT served his time. Had he killed someone with those loads in, it would have been a different story with people calling for his head, but because it didn't get that far, it's alright.
F**k it, lets just throw the rules out the window and throw broken glass and chains into the ring like thunderdome...
The rules are there for a reason. F**k him and people that whine about him not being able to make a living. If I was a stock trader and I did something shady, I'd be put in jail and black listed from the business FOR LIFE!... Margarito puts someone's life in jeopardy and he just loses out on a few million in a year. F**king disgrace.
Remember, people... I used to really be a big fan of Margo. This is not coming from a hater.
Re: Article on Margarito's "comeback"...
i say make the fucker (Margarito) take a lie detector test and if he fails well basically reverse every single win on his record

I second that motion!

Antonio Margarito claims he didn't know about plaster-coated pads in hand wraps - ESPN Los Angeles
apparently he's not making any plans of even apologizing, still playing dumb and the victim, biggest piece of shit in the last decade
this made me roll over laughing given how transparent he is,
" Oscar De La Hoya also said Margarito shouldn't be allowed to return so quickly, a stance that prompted Margarito to suggest, "If [De La Hoya] wants to prove something to me, let's get in the ring and prove something." "
Re: Article on Margarito's "comeback"...
how do cotto felt about this margarito comeback being the biggest victim of margarito's "stone" hands? what's his feelings towards arum who seem to solidly back margarito all the way?
shane mosley doesn't care if margarito comes back.

both Cotto and Cintron say they wouldn't be shocked if he cheated against them, and have expressed that they hope he isn't allowed to make a comeback
