Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
According to Wlad it's personal now. He doesn't want a fight with Peter or Povetkin or any other contender. It's just Haye he wants. He says he's pushing for the fight right now because of all the past antics.
And another thing that piece of shit Arum is trying to force another fight with Peter and he wants the IBF to strip Wlad if he doesn't.
Klitschko: "Haye is The Only Fight I Want, It's Personal" - Boxing News
So I guess the ball is in Haye's court to making the fight happen. Haye and his fans say it's an easy ko within 3 rds against chinny Wlad, so then let's see the fight. Or how about with an 38 yr. old Vitali that half on this forum said would be an easy UD against an old man. It's time to put up or shut up.

Do half the forum really think that? I was under the general impression that most on here thought a David Haye victory over either Klitschko was about as likely as a Gordon Brown reelection victory at the polls next month?

Name the fans that said that? Apart from LeftyLee I can't think of anyone that makes Haye the favourite over Wlad.

I think Haye will take both Klitschkos. And by the way according to opinion polls the general election is pretty much split (although I think Cameron will win).
David Haye brings power, speed and mobility to the table, neither Klit has ever faced that, yes they have faced all 3 before but never in the same opponent. The last man Wlad faced with just 2 of them assests KO'd him and the last genuine world level fighter Vitali fought beat him. Areola, Peter, Thompson, Austin, Johnson, Brewster and so on are all just fucking shite and anyone who thinks any of them are on the same level as Haye are totally insane. Haye brings so much to the table these days, especially now he is starting to fight with a discipline and respect for the power of HW's. Haye wins.
That is my theory on the whole matter and if I turn out to be wrong then i will hold my hand up and say I have been wrong on this issue, BUT..... I won't be.

We also gotta remember that Wlad, the heavyweight champion of the world, is struggling to get his fights on American TV at the moment!;D

Read around. Vitali gets battered around like John Ruiz as they say. Wlad gets koed within 3. Easy fights, easy money for Haye against so call bums.
So the fight should happen eh?
-
Re: Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
Wlad's jab will simply turn Haye's face into raspberries jam and Haye will never be able to close the distance enough to make any significant damage, the hype is just too big, if a fighter shot like Barrett did floor him without problems, I don't even want to imagine what's gonna happen to Haye. As for Vitali, Haye doesn't even have the power to shake the rust off him, if he could absorb Lewis best shots without flinching, Haye's power will be a walk in the park.
-
Re: Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
Wow Wlad is really turning on the charm
Goes to show how far being gentleman gets you in this sport ;)
It's good through, i'm gald Wladimir has turned a corner. He needed a slight attitude transplant and he seems to have gone full whack with the cinematic call-out vid etc.. I wouldn't be surprised if Wlad started wearing T-shirts with pictures of Adam Booth with his own Cock stuffed in his gob :-X
Again, i'm glad. Fuck it, hype is hype. And hype sells.
If/ when Wladimir knocks Haye out, he'll get all the dues he deserves.
-
Re: Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
Too bad Wlad is a pussy! But seriously If this fight happens ill be rooting for Haye but obviously logic say's he's guna get smashed but gotta go with my heart on this one! He will do one but Vitali is another story pfft! I cant see that turning out good for Haye ever! :)
-
Re: Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
I think Haye is great for the sport but IMO the Klits are going to spark him out with not much trouble....Haye is just so wide open and I can see Haye being to exposed with the height and reach of the Klits....Look if Haye struggled against the very slow non-puncher Valuev then he hes not going to do much better against any of the Klits.....Sorry but thats how I see it
Job Biscuit (Another victory for both Klits)!!!
eh eh!!!

I'm amazed anyone would think Haye batters Vitali around like an old man when he couldnt batter Monte Barrett or Nikolay Valuev around like old men.
I've never seen Vitali battered, I just can't see Haye making any more of an impression against him than Arreola or Sam Peter did.
He has a slightly better chance with Wladmir because he's been knocked out in the past, but I seriously doubt Wlad would take any risks with Haye's power in that fight and if he doesn't land the big one I don't see how he can win that fight.

Re: Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
Funny how people are talking all the Haye KO's Wlad bullshit yet none want to keep in mind Haye has a soft chin himself and Wlad hits a hell of a lot harder then anything Haye has ever faced....
We have never seen an angry aggressive Wlad...Wlad is always well controlled....Take that poise and add well controlled anger behind it and Haye is in trouble...As anyone else....
I would like someone to explain to me how Haye manages to keep off an attacking Wlad who is looking just to take his head off?..
Haye isn't that strong and he isn't that good of a counter puncher...Certainly can't rely on his defense...
-
Re: Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
One thing is for certain. Booth needs to spend the next few months teaching Haye how to put up an effective guard. If he goes into a Klitschko fight with the same guard that he used against Ruiz, it may end very messily.
-
Re: Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
I don't understand why anyone thinks Haye stands a chance against either of them. Vitali absolutely murders him, while Wvlad paws him with a jab all night long. Haye stands less of chance against them than RJJ did when he was HW.

I'm sorry to say I don't see that happening for at least 10 rounds.
I actually think the fight would be VERY anti climactic. Neither fighter would want to take any risks and Wlad would win with his jab alone.
I know people seem to think it could be a barnburner but I highly highly doubt it. We saw how cautious Haye was against Valuev and Wlad is almost as big and twice as dangerous.
Plus we've seen how cautious Wladimir is agiainst everybody.
They will barely throw a meaningful punch between them for the first 6 rounds imo.
The knockout may come, and it may be brutal, but it will be an end of fight affair like against Tony Thompson or Eddie Chambers imo, Wladmir isn't about to throw caution to the wind and open up on the most dangerous opponent he has faced since Sam Peter until there is literally nothing coming back, just not happening.
And David Haye, for all his macho speak of knocking their heads off knows it's a suicide mission to try and engage head on with them. He'll fight the way he did against Valuev, looking to keep out of the way and dart in and out scoring punches. But Wlad's jab will nullify him and he'll just be like everyone else backed up in the corner and unable to get close.
He may hit a bit harder than most of the other heavies but in terms of beating either Klitschko he brings nothing to the table that the other guys have brought. He'll go the same way.
For the record, the fighter with the best chance to upset them is Odlanier Solis...

When they were going to fight the first time Wlad said he wanted to take Haye 12 rounds to inflict the maximum long term damage on him. Maybe the Chambers fight was practice for that.

ha actually I think it could be very similar to that. I do think a devastating ko like that is a possiblity, but I fully expect it to be preceeded by at least 10 rounds of plodding about the ring with Wlad pawing and Haye covering up.
Let's be clear, this isn't going to be anything Vitali against Lennox Lewis as neither Haye or Wlad can stand up those kind of punches against each other, and importantly, they both know it.
It will be cat and mouse, or more likely grass growing.

Re: Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
Wlad is saying he'll knock Haye out in the 12th round. I don't remember Wlad running his mouth for nothing in the past. I don't think he's doing it now. I think he means what he says and he is saying it to scare Haye and I think Haye better be scared.
My prediction: Wlad will keep his word. Wlad will punish Haye for 11 rounds then Knock him out in the 12th. Unless Haye sees the writing on the wall and quits first. I don't think Haye has the wind to last 12 rounds with someone beating on him, but I can imagine Wlad holding him up 'til the 12th round if Haye fags out on him.
Fighters as good as Ali and the Klits can predict rounds and get it right more often than not.

More then likely it will play out that way but speaking in terms of just that what will happen if Wlad goes after him like that? He is a great finisher that we have not seen in a long long time...The Wlad before his KO loss to Sanders was brutal in delivering punishment

Correct. But Boxing in the UK is NOWHERE NEAR as strong as Boxing in the US. Plus it was more of a case that (I believe) ITV pulled the plug on Mick Hennesy the promoter not Carl Froch the fighter. More importantly, ITV have been pretty bad with their commitment to boxing at the best of times, anyway.
What Bilbo posted is right.
Anyway, your point was irrelevant and way off centre, so there :p ;D

LOLOL. I've seen what some posters on this thread think about today's hw division, i.e., the Klits' competition. I say the Klits' competition would compare favourably with any of the modern eras. (Let's not go back beyond the '70's, please.)
Ali is my hero, and always will be. But it helps in life if you try to stay somewhat in touch with reality. The athletes of today in all fields stand head and shoulders above those of the past. Heavyweight boxing is no exception.
Do you remember what people thought of Ali in his day? I do. It was much in line with what people on this forum think of David Haye. Most of the people in my part of the country wanted him in jail for dodging the draft.
So, let's watch and see if Klitschko canback up what he has said and "pull an Ali"

well i remember plenty of you guys bitching that you weren't able to watch Taylor/Froch cause it wasn't being shown on any major station, had to end up watching it on streams
Anyway, your point was irrelevant and way off centre, so there :p ;D
oh yea! well you smell like shit, SO HA! ;D

Re: Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
Oh, and I remember back in Ali's day, to speak of him and Joe Louis in the same breath would have been heresy. My Dad would not have stood for that. LOL

That's just one fight. Every other Froch fight was shown on Sky/ITV. For every big fight there is you guys have to fork out $49.99 or however much it is to watch on PPV. Only PPV here is for Haye and Khan.

Taylor-Froch wasn't shown live, that was the problem. Because it was taking place at 4am UK time the TV company showed it primetime the next night. That's no good to most hardcore fans who naturally stayed up to watch streams.
Froch's Super-Six fight was PPV on a UK subscription channel that half the population doesn't have. That's why fans were pissed off with it. It wasn't worthy of PPV and even worse on a station no-one knew anything about.

Can't believe those two appear in the same sentence?????
You believe the out of shape Heavyweight contenders of today (Arreola, Chambers, Peter etc...) compare favourably with the Heavies of the past?

To keep the belts you have to fight the mandatories who pay the corrupt organisation back handers from their promoters and managers otherwise they sue the organisation. Corrupt boxing and boxing fans get shite fights with the Klits beating up fighters no one wants to see, even the Klit brothers.

I really think that is utter crap. Heavyweight boxing is perhaps the ONLY exception, and a very glaring one.

Re: Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
Back to the topic, good on Wlad! He's got the Ring belt & the Saddo Championship that's all that matters!!! Throw the piece of sh*t trinket in the trash & don't worry about being stripped.
The Haye fight is the fight I want to see & if the alphabet idiots are going to stand in the way of Haye fighting either Klitschko then bugger them, they don't have to be apart of it. No one is gonna miss them!!!
For the record Haye loses to both brothers, but I still want to see the fights!!!

Re: Wladimir: Haye is the only fight I want now, not Peter,Povetkin or anyone
It's funny how American fight fans have flip flopped on this; I mean I remember everyone hating the Klitscho brothers ad now all of a sudden a british challenger with an exciting style and a big mouth comes along and the Klits are now hero's and Better than Ali. Wow, national bias is pathetic the thing is if an awesome american heavy like tyson or Holyfield came along I would support him. I mean it's really sad to think about because in reality when you think about it Haye is great! big mouth and all action in the ring and he has achieved just about as much as you can in 25 fights unifying one division and winning a title in another. I mean the Klits are good fighters who desserve credit but no one can deny the hatred for them here before.
