Havnt a clue were that came from I thought it was a really close fight, Froch going to make excuses i think so :(
Some have started by saying he was holding back on his punches, getting the injury excuse ready !
Must of the shots i seen him through he through with Power So guess hes retired now since he said hes going to retire if he gets Wrong Decision, Has he said he though he won? never seen interview after the fight. What was said?
Carl basically said he would have won in England Peter schmeichel said well you got a win over Dirrel. The crowd bood him but Carl has got his missus pregnant.

Peter Schmeichel must be the Danish Paxman nowadays! Wasn't exactly a grilling, and for all the talk about it in the post-fight interview I think Schmeichel fancies pregnant birds.Quote:

Thought Kessler won by about 3 rounds myself. First half of the fight was nip and tuck, but I think Froch got more ragged from the mid-point on.
Both fighters had each other slightly hurt at different points I think, but both refused to get on their bike for safety.
Oh wait, I forgot Carl doesn't have a bike anymore... nevermind. ;D
I had Kessler by 2.The judge that gave it by 6 rounds was wayout imo.

117-111 would not be a bad score for either fighter to win. THere were sooo many close rounds, that if favor one fighter in those rounds, it would give you a wider score.
I personal scored it for Kessler by a couple of rounds. Froch was just too complacent.
I need to watch the fight properly as I missed a few of the later ones and was on a stream. Kessler looked to be taking over when I lost things, but by the time I was back Kessler was cut and apparently Froch was edging his way back.
Need to watch again methinks. It might well have been close. I did have it even after 6.
That was Mudine's best fight IMO, even though he lost. I can't really remember, but I think I had it something like 116-112 Kessler.Quote:

Froch for me doesnt have the speed for the hands down style at this level.
I dont rate Kessler that highly either.

Very close fight.
Froch is a bit stuipis really. I thought it was common knowledge that if you want to win in someone else's back yard you need to beat them decisively and not leave anything to chance. Froch tried to nick it. Very bad tactics.
I think froch is in trouble now, a fight like that takes alot out of you and he's got abraham next who I think is probably tougher then kessler.

I think Froch showed signs of slowing down a little bit last night, his output in the middle rounds was not like him especially against a guy like Kessler who come in in straight lines.
I'll say it again, I had it a draw or very close. 117-111 was out of line even with the close rounds. Kessler looked banged up after the fight. That cut was deep and will take a long time to heal.
I think that is bang on. I've said that before a while back. Kell Brook is another that has the same sort of drawback for me. Always gonna get shown up when the opposition is upped. Disapointed for froch though, I thought he was gonna beat Kessler up. Kessler showed plenty to keep on going for the 12 and has certainly got more to offer the tournament than I thought he did.Quote:
