Re: Looks like Wlad v Haye will go ahead in September
I'm not really all that excited about this fight pretty sure just another day in the office for wlad, props to haye for creating buzz about himself because really he hasn't done anything at heavy that sultan or chagaev hadn't done...wlad by ko in 7 or 8 after a 100jabs...

Re: Looks like Wlad v Haye will go ahead in September
Woohoo! this is 2nd on my list next to pacman/mayweather.
And i dont know why everyone writes off Haye so fast. I see this being a long night for both guys. and it should be a great match.

Re: Looks like Wlad v Haye will go ahead in September
I think I'm looking forward to this one, and I hope it comes off, because I think that Haye does have a realistic chance of getting past the Klitschko jab to try and see if his chin has improved at all whilst dominating the heavies.
Adam Booth's a very astute tactician, and I think if they can get both guys to sign on the dotted line, and barring any injuries, should be a very interesting fight.

Re: Looks like Wlad v Haye will go ahead in September
This is actually pretty intresting in the fact that haye actually does have a chance, hes a heavy puncher against a guy who doesnt really take a punch that well, that being said....Klitchko by KO

Re: Looks like Wlad v Haye will go ahead in September
Well, it's the most interesting fight in the division, which speaks volumes about the division.
I agree with most on this thread. I think Wlad will stop Haye, who has a suspect chin himself. However, Haye does have a very strong right hand. That said, it should be interesting as long as it goes.

Who was it that said this fight would be made by the end of the month then?

Re: Looks like Wlad v Haye will go ahead in September
apparently all that has happened so far is that Klitschko has made an offer:
Klitschko-Haye reports premature

Re: Looks like Wlad v Haye will go ahead in September
Until the fighters are in the ring I will have my doubts about this one. i hope they fight though.

Same here until the bell ring's for the first round I will not be interested. This fight has already been put off by B.S. excuses what's to stop it from happening again.

Re: Looks like Wlad v Haye will go ahead in September
Junior may have made a shit offer to Haye knowing he'll turn it down, 60/40 in favour of Junior or worse. Unless he's offering 50/50 he's just ducking Haye.

I agree, Haye deserves a better deal now. Wlad cant think he is getting one of those "if you beat me then you have to fight my brother deals."
Although Wlad will bring in more money then Haye, Wlad cant make as much money fighting anyone else.

If Haye beats Wlad the next biggest fight would be Haye vs Vitali so why would Haye run from that?

Because it would lock him into some weak deal. However, If Haye beats Wlad, and there is no "fight my brother clause," Haye will have enormous bargaining power, and will be able to negotiate a much better deal for himself in the subsequent Vitali fight.
Remeber when Holyfield gave up a substantial amount of money for the first Tyson fight, in order to avoid a rematch clause.
Then after he beat Tyson, Don King had to negotiate with Holyfield for a rematch, and holyfield had the much better bargaining posistion.

...... and then Holyfield blew all that money, too!

Meanwhile
After Albert Sonsowski KOs Vitali, I think he should look for a 60/40 split with Wlad. He'll have much better bargaining power. How much do you think he is getting paid for this fight first?
Haye may just have a slightly better chance of beating Wlad than Sonsowski beating Vitali. Mostly because we have seen Wlad get KOed on three occasions by bums. We are lucky these fights aren't swapped. Otherwise, I'd give Haye zero chance until Vitali gets around 42yrs! And Sonsowski is truly almost a bum, and completely qualifies as the next in line to knock the dust off of Wlads dome!!

Ah Christ here we go. Haye dropped out of the first fight because of money correct? How much did he make to fight Valuev? From what I understand he didn't make the same amount but much less to fight Valuev. Only to pick up a paper belt. I've said this before. How much money did Buster Douglas get to fight Mike Tyson? A lousy $10,000. He trained hard and knocked Tyson out. His next fight coming in fat and out of shape(not his fault) Made 25 million for Evander. So IMO I would take the low end to fight Wlad, knock him out (because that's what he will do correct?) then fight for millions against big brother Vitali.
I am very curious to see the original contract of how much he was going to make. Then the contract that will be set-up for this fight.

You're not comparing like with like there thought. Buster Douglas was really one of the guys on the fringe of the heavyweight scene, had picked up a few good wins and some defeats along the way in his career, and was never expected to beat Tyson. Haye on the other hand is a former unified cruiserweight champion who has come up to heavyweight, KO'd a couple of gatekeepers, and claimed the share of the heavyweight title which the Klitshko's had neglected. He's also made no secret of his desire to only have a couple more fights before retiring with all his faculties intact. If he takes a tiny share of the deal with Wlad it would just be stupid business practice.

Re: Looks like Wlad v Haye will go ahead in September
While I know Sky TV want Haye to face Audley Harrison and Tomas Adamek, I think a 50/50 deal with Wlad which has been rumoured is the way to go. Get the Wlad fight over and done with and then take out the small fry.
