Arum says that, if Mayweather doesn't happen, he could fight the winner of Cotto-Foreman at light middleweight. He is also looking at Margarito - be interesting to see how he much 'damage' he does without the plaster in his gloves.
Fwiw, I wouldn't want to see him fight Miguel Cotto again. As much as I love Miguel.

I agree mate, the fact other names are being mentioned doesn't look good does it? Another fight with Cotto doesn't exactly wet the appetite - even at 154lbs. I assume that if they can't get the fight with Mayweather, winning another title at an eighth weight is the next best thing for him - although it is definitely not what the world wants to see. :mad:
As for the testing, you have a good point. I'd be more inclined to ask for the testing if I was Miguel Cotto (after he beats Yuri Foreman ;)) - especially seeing as he will be coming up another weight division. Then again, Cotto may not want to turn down the payday regardless if Manny agrees to the random testing or not.

Funny you should say that as I watched the fight for the first time since KNOWING that Margarito, more than likely, had plaster in his gloves earlier on. No one can tell me he didn't use it in the fight and that, against Mosley, was the first time he has done it. It's like people who get caught drinking or cheating on their girlfriends - it's probably not the first time they have done it but it's the first time that they have been caught. He had more to gain in the Cotto fight imo and I am convinced he was packing it. We all know that Cotto cuts quite easily but his face after that face was a mess and his nose would just randomly piss blood throughout that fight. He was, arguably, the better fighter in that bout but what can you do when the other bloke has plaster in his gloves and is pounding your face and body with it. :mad::mad:Quote:

Margarito looked like crap his last match and the power seems not there. Margarito has already been hyping the fight saying that Pacquiao has his belt that he took from Cotto(which Arum wants us to forget Mosley knocked him out for in his next fight)

i think margarito looked damned good last saturday night considering he was out of the ring for almost a year and a half. and he's even going to get better with the new trainer (roberto garcia) he has now.
his opponent was no world beater. And he hit margarito cleanly many times
I really hope this fight happens, and I hope they make it a trilogy. In fact I hope they make it a trilogy of trilogies. Then we can have the 2 biggest cheating bastards in the sport segregated and knocking the shit out of each other till retirement.

I'm against a Manny/Margacheato fight for two big reasons.
1. I can't imagine a scenario where Margacheato would actually be able to land anything significant on Manny (and without plaster in his gloves what difference would it make if it does).
2. The biggest reason, I don't want to see that scumbag make another huge payday against Manny. He should be relegated to fighting in high school gymnasiums and circuses in Mexico, for chump change.
At this point I'm ahead of Margarito in the line to next fight Pacquiao.
Since when is Margarito this big puncher who lost his power?He's always been a volume puncher and very rarely shakes guys with one shot.Is him getting hit alot.....whenever....really a suprise?
This is GAY. Margarito-Pac wouldn't be the worst fight in the world but after a while people will just lose interest in Mayweather Pacquiao. Plus everyone I talk to has a hard time believing Mayweather wins, let's just see the damn thing already so they can tell me I'm right.

yet he isn't fighting Berto or Tim Bradley, both which make more sense for him to fight. Tim Bradley is the man at 140 and Pacquiao keeps saying he isn't a natural welterweight.
If Pacquiao wanted to stick it to Floyd he'd fight Bradley but he isn't.
This would be a step back for Manny IMO...

It will be a shame if Pacquiao's last fight is against Margarito and not Mayweather. Margarito doesnt deserve the shot whatsoever and his reputation has been dinted badly. Its a fight that's too predictable for the fans liking. All the fans want is Pacquiao v Mayweather. Fukk any other fighter when it comes to facing Pacquiao.
