Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
Every single fight he has I have never seen a fight pose a threat to him ever. What game plan is needed to beat him? I just cant see any heavyweight having a chance against him. I think out of all of them definatly Haye is the only one with a shout in a fight against him. I think hes the only heavyweight with a bit of speed that could bother Vitali.

was thinking the same thing Tam
Vitali is not the the most skilful heavyweight ever but is better than average and with his sheer size I can't seee him being troubled.
I give Haye a 20% chance of beating Vitali - but thats 20% more than I give any other heavyweight out there at the moment.

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
From what I saw tonight Haye would outbox Vitali using speed and movement to a clear UD.
Course it might look different if your in the ring with him but I saw nothing that would bother Haye too much apart from the KO shots, which i think Haye could avoid.

I think more that Haye's face slowly burst like a pizza in the microwave and he receives the big bang around the 8th. I really don't see him winning against Vitali in any way possible. Haye doesn,t have the skills or stamina at HW to fight a 6.8 towering monster.

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
I think Haye would be the only one with a shout though. There is no way you can KO Vitali and I think footspeed is something that would be key to the fight. Vitali likes to get out of there as soon as he lands one, thats where Haye would have to be scoring his points and get off on his bike. If he got caught by Vitali I think it would be an early night, but I definatly think that if he can avoid those punches and keep a focus for 12 rounds you never know what could happen.
However, I dont think a fighter can keep away from Vitali for 12 rounds though, but out of any other heavyweight Haye is the only one who would have a good go. Nobody with their styles would beat Vitali, nobody.

If sosnowski can get to round 10, then surely Haye can too. :p

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
I don't see any fighter having more than a slim chance against Vitali. He uses his size very well. Then add the fact that he is very strong and has an iron chin. Any fighter today would have to get in and out using angles and hope to outbox Vitali. So I give Adamek the best look against this big heavyweight roadblock.

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
The problem is trying to get past the Klitschko jab and the height advantage (which the brothers use to a T). It is easier said than done. Only another tall defensive fighter like Lewis was able to get in with big shots it seems. Haye is much to small to trouble either Klitschko and wont be able to walk through the storm to land any significant shots. If he gets around the jab he will have to watch for the straight right and left hook.

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
I'd rather see Haye fight Wladimir.

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
Basically you gotta have a reliable chin, a decent reach and most importantly really good legs. Serena Williams has all three.
No seriously, VK only seems interested in fighting guys who plod or are very stationary.

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
I dont think Haye has a chance against Vitali , Haye chin would be exposed
-
Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
Haye would have to take chances to even have a chance against Vitali. But taking them chances puts him and his weak chin in danger. But he has no choice. Cuz the Haye that fought Valuve has no chance

It did last 10 rounds because Vitali chose to let him to, often he finishes his rounds after the sixth, starting slowly and gradually pulverizing his opponents. After I looked the fight, I am convinced he just took his time as he had a couple of chances earlier but decided to go slow on the decay process.

What you mean a Klitschko took forever getting rid of a mediocre opponent :o
I'll say it now, I think Haye beats Vitali, and he'll do it by stoppage. There's little signs that Vitali is slipping, and whilst he might get away with it against an overweight Arreola/Gomez and prospects/bums in Johnson & Sosnowski, he won't against an athletic younger man. Wladimir will absolutely cream Haye though.

Vitali often took his time to wear down his opponents, this time was no exception and Snowy showed that he's able to get good punches and keep going. I don't Haye has the shadow of a chance against neither of them, especially if he can get snap down by a washed off Barrett. If ever this fight happen, I'll gladly take a signature bet against you :P

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
My game plan would be to wait until Vitali is 48 years old, then maybe outwork him then.

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
I remember this as clear as day. Why wasnt it a knockdown!!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USxJeHV1pd8
Also, if only Sanders had spent his time training rather than playing golf I reckon hed have beaten Vitali. Neither of them seem to be able to handle speed.
Vitali gets that stupid wide eyed, blinky and open mouthed look when he feels Sanders power;D

Well, wrestling doesn't count, hence why it's not a knock down. As for Vitali, he knocked out every fast boxers that got in his path, for a guy who's having difficulty with speed he's getting away with it pretty well I think.

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
I've always thought that Haye has more chance against Wlad than Vitali, but now after watching Vitali labour to victory against someone who Haye would have out in 3 rounds, I have totally changed my mind. Haye's speed would give that version of Vitali nightmares and I really don't think Vitali could catch Haye clean at all.
I think Haye will sign to fight Vitali now and then defend against his mandatory (providing he does beat Vitali) and then in 18 months from now fight Wlad for the unification of the titles.
-
Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
Vitali is past his best and he knows it. He isn't anywhere near as athletic as he used to be (see the Sanders video) so although he can probably take more of a hit now, he would be too slow for Haye.
Haye so nearly had Valuev, a man mountain who had never been wobbled, so I've no doubt his accuracy and power would be too much for Vitali.
Would Vitali Klitchso embaressed Ruiz in the manner Haye did? Cleary not.

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
Haye stands no chance against either Klitschko brother, and I think he knows it
-
Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
No one. Vitali does nothing but stand in front of you make you miss and pound the hell out of you with right hands. The reason an "average" Sosnowski was able to last with Vitali was for simply waiting. Both Klitschko's do not like to lead the dance they'll simple paw with a jab and sometimes shoot a hard jab. When you stand in front of them and do not do anything they will not throw until you do. They are as advertised chess players. You miss with your shot I will be damn sure mine will not miss and coming from a 245 lbs fighter those shots are heavy as hell and do alot of damage. It causes us to be bored but keeps them high and dry. So at this point no one can beat Vitali.

Re: Who has the game plan to beat Vitali Klitschko?
I wouldn't say haye has the best chance but he does have just as good of a chance as anyone else....... i have to agree with most above though. I'd give him very very little chance to win. As pissed off as he's got them i say he'd get stopped before six. Still a fight i wouldn't mind seeing.
