Grary Shaw: Bradley-Alexander fight is close to done deal
Tim Bradley vs Devon Alexander Deal is Getting Close - Boxing News
This is great news if it gets finalized. As of this point I would rather see this fight than the 2 prima donnas (May-Pac) going at it.
Re: Grary Shaw: Bradley-Alexander fight is close to done deal
This is arguably the second most intriguing potential fight in the sport. I hope it gets made.
I think Alexander has the tools to outbox Bradley, but there is just something about Bradley that makes me think he could pull the fight out - he really seems to have the makings of a very special fighter. Honestly, I have no idea who would win, I just know I want to see it and the winner will undeniably be recognized as one of the best P4P fighters in the game.
Re: Grary Shaw: Bradley-Alexander fight is close to done deal
Yea this is a GREAT fight but I just think to much is being asked of Alexander here and we've seen guys with a lot of talent like Lamont Peterson just be completely befuddled by Bradley. He just does so many things well, he's always changing up, he makes you fight at his pace and while he's not the hardest guy to hit he also usually dishes back more then you do. He's just a great little fighter, I think him and Andre Ward are the two new great American fighters of their generation but very talented guys like Alexander, Dirrell (and maybe Dawson) can upset that just with pure physical ability.
That's my take, yea I want to see it but I think Alexander might just look green.
Re: Grary Shaw: Bradley-Alexander fight is close to done deal
Awesome. This is the best fight in the 140's IMO. Two fighters on the verge of their prime going at it. That being said, I felt this fight was going to happen a little more down the line. They both have great styles and are exciting to watch.

no fight with Khan then? ;D
Re: Grary Shaw: Bradley-Alexander fight is close to done deal
Khan has bigger fish to fry like the great Juan Manuel Marquez.

One of the better matches to be made.Who needs Mayweather vs Manny.I do think Bradley looked a bit stale last time out...off stride.

He is 36, P4P no.3, the undisputed lightweight champion and a man who surely deserves a shot at becoming the first Mexican to win a "world" title in four weight-classes. Khan is a brave man taking this challenge. Fact.

Re: Grary Shaw: Bradley-Alexander fight is close to done deal
The winner will fight Khan after he disposes of JMM.
Re: Grary Shaw: Bradley-Alexander fight is close to done deal
I'd go with Alexander here, the way he destroyed Urango was superb. Even Bailey, Hatton and Berto was not able to stop this man. If Holt was able to Hurt Bradley Devon sure will. Bradley in my eyes does not have the discipline to box the whole 12 rounds without engaging in a toe to toe slugfest which I think in this case if he does apply the same tactic against Devon he will get knocked out. Bradley's aggression might go against him in this scenario.
Re: Grary Shaw: Bradley-Alexander fight is close to done deal
I've only little clips of DA... But I get the feeling he can do some of the things Bradley can do, just as well but with more sting.
By that, I mean I'm assuming that it'll be DA who will more than likely impose himself on TB, thus impressing the judges.
I think it's a SD job. Unless it's in St. Louis.

These are the two best fighters at the weight and the winner fights number 3 who is Amir Khan.

I think Alexander is going to counter-punch the shit out of a more aggressive and at times wide open Bradley.

I don't think he was that impressive until the stoppage. It was the perfect shot, and he might not connect like that ever again. It was that sweet, but the chances of him doing that to Bradley are quite slim. I think Bradley beats him in a close fight here.

I think Urango's pressure was bothering Alexander in that fight and that could definitely be a sign that Alexander will struggle against Bradley. However, Urango hits a lot harder than Bradley and his power could have been a big factor in Alexander's struggles.
This is just such an interesting fight, I really have no idea who will win. Though I do think that style-wise Alexander has an advantage, but there is just something about Bradley that makes me think he might be able to pull it off. I'm still picking Alexander, but I'm very unsure of it.
