Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Arena
Think I might go to support Audley against this joke of a champion.
This is like Khan deciding to not fight the likes of Maidana and JMM and deciding to fight David Barnes, fucking joke of a fight.

David Haye v Audley Harrison fight could form Manny Pacquiao precursor
David Haye travelled to his training base in Northern Cyprus 72 hours ago to sharpen his focus for a week ahead of his next defence of the World Boxing Association heavyweight title.
By Gareth A Davies, Boxing Correspondent
Published: 6:45PM BST 19 Aug 2010
It will almost certainly be against friend-turned-foe Audley Harrison, in Manchester, on Nov 13.
The Haye-Harrison fight — one of the biggest since Lennox Lewis defeated Frank Bruno almost 17 years ago — is likely to be finalised and announced within two weeks.
The Telegraph understands that discussions are for a pay-per-view event on Sky Sports, and could be the precursor to Manny Pacquiao versus Antonio Margarito, a light-middleweight title contest, later that night in the United States.
Although European champion Harrison, the 2000 Olympic Games superheavyweight gold medallist, is ranked only 13th in the WBA list, and has been dismissed as an also-ran after a decade of verbosity with little to show in the way of performance on the world scene, the contest has intrigue value on British shores.
The two fighters were once been close friends in the England amateur boxing team, and have sparred dozens of rounds with each other in training. Yet last year, they fell out publicly with a war of words, Harrison claiming Haye had turned his back on an old friend. On Nov 13, they can sort it out face-to-face.
Elsewhere, Vitali Klitschko, one of Haye’s rivals, has confirmed he will defend the World Boxing Council heavyweight title against Shannon Briggs in Hamburg on Oct 16.

It would be like Khan not fighting them after he essentially made his name by calling them out and promising to reignite the once-glorious division they fought in. Fuck Haye, his actions are indefensible and his credibility is shot. I hope Harrison sparks him.

Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
What a fucking joke! Haye is deplorable for going through with this. All that smack talk and now he is fighting Audley Harrison? The heavyweight division might suck, but there are a lot more much better matchups than this out there.
Shame on David Haye. So much for reigniting the heavyweight division.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Ha, this is hilarious. Haye is making his money but damn the boxing fan is losing out here. I just hope someone gets sparked. It doesn't really matter who it is, if it's Haye then it's a lot funnier but I'd rather hear Haye talk then hear Audley talk. I'd rather hear both talk then hear Lyle talk :P
-
Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
This is just total crap. Haye has taken a serious nose dive in reputation for me, way down. I may even add Lyle as a friend now and begin to discuss the klitschkos.....
-
Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
Audley wont make it through the walk on without fainting. Fact.
If Sky do the PPV with the Pac fight then i'll pay for it.
Haye will go down as one of biggest mugs ever if Audley sparks him. It's not such a long shot either - one lucky clip from A-Force
-
Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
I'd be wanting Haye to smash him to bits but wouldnt be surprised if Audley turned him over.

Goood grrrrrrief!!
WTF is Haye thinking??
He has gone from hero to zero in 12 months......good work David.

WOW....this is a HUGE fight....look at this guy go, he's tearing through the heavyweight division!!!! He's a wonderfully exciting fighter taking on no one but the best of the heavyweight division!
;)
What makes this hurt more fellas? That Chicken Little actually took this fight OR that I was 100% correct about Chicken Little?
I TOLD YOU SO

I don't mnind this one. Quite looking forward to it. After Klitschkos this was one i would have chosen -long time since we had two british guys getting it on. And lets face it Audley is a household name so it should do well.
Hopefully they will all come through and then if they dont sort a Klit showdown out we can all boycott the heavies forever.
Wonder how Vitali will do against a guy Lennox knocked out 12 years ago.....
-
Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
Well Mark it's funny you would mention that Shannon Briggs fought Lennox Lewis 12 years ago because Shannon is 38 years old.......THE SAME AGE AS ONE AUDLEY HARRISON, and I obviously don't need to remind you #1 Who's had the better pro career and #2 Who's fought the better competition (even recently ;D )
AND I might add that Shannon Briggs wasn't Vitali's first choice unlike Audley for Chicken Little....that was just a "special" match that HAD to be made

What was you right about Lyle?
This fight doesn't mean Haye-Klits is never going to happen does it?

Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
This fight is only credible cos of Audley Harrison's name.
Had he gone after Sprott if Sprott had won then no that would have been a very bad thing !
I bet theres more non boxing fans in UK that know who Audley is over Haye.
I think this will be an exciting fight and all I'm saying is it won't do boxing's appeal in Britain any harm and to me thats a good thing - won't happen but if this could have been on terrestrial tv over here would attract a new generation of fans to the sport.
-

I remember back in the day i had a bet with my Old Man that David Barnes would become a world champion. Luckily my Dad seems to have forgotten all about it ;D
I'm not so annoyed at this fight. It's fairly interesting for me. More so, than him fighting anyone other than Adamek or either Klitschko. Plus it'll be funny if the A-Train gets lucky and beats him.

Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
I wonder how Audley feels about the renewed sense of support - I know I'd love to see him drop the bomb on Haye.
-
Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
It'll be a good british 'event' but how can Audley be considered worthy of challenging for a world title? He was being given a boxing lesson by sprott and landed 1 lucky knockout shot.
Hey it is heavyweight boxing and the fight can change with one punch - that's one thing people love about it. Fair dos but Harrison should have been a lot more competitive up to landing the knockout shot. I heard him saying afterwards how he is the man and he came through a tough fight and pulled it out the bag like all true champions do!! lol it was a british maybe commonwealth level fight, they were lucky to get it for the european in the first place.
I was a big fan of harrison when he turned pro i had just left school and believed all his talk of being British heavyweight champ within 10 fights - looking back he might have been able to if he fought with the hunger he needed. I got his autobiography for christmas too :p It didn't take long for me to change my opinion after watching his fights on tv and being booed and fighting blokes half his size and being main event on big shows!! I reckon audley regrets going about his career the way he did in the beginning but will never admit it - i know i would.
David Haye is getting used to fooling the public, does no1 remember the build up to the valuev fight everyday in the papers all you could read was how haye was going for the knockout and taking it to the bigger man! I'm sure that was to fool valuev into adopting the wrong gameplan but the public were all over the fight everywhere i went people were talking about it.
Haye has built up a massive name for himself talking about the klitschkos and can't fault him for that but i reckon he is biding his time, they are at the age where they could start showing their age (if they haven't already) and i think he will take the fight when they are ripe for the picking. Ok Haye might beat them but the longer he waits the more people will always say he fought them too late.
Anyway back to Haye v Harrison. I reckon Haye beats Audley 6 days out of 7 but what happened against Sprott, he could do to anyone he has the size for it. Audley also has great skills i think it's his toughness that is missing he just looks scared of getting hit lol. I am picking haye to win and he should win early but harrison can turn it in to a long fight but being very cautious. I pick Haye by 5th round stoppage but would not be surprise if Harrison sparked haye as he can be dropped.
Wouldn't say i agree with the fight in terms of being meaningful, not on the world scene anyway but it will be huge in the uk and both fighters can make huge money and can't begrudge them that. If Haye wins if he doesn't then make a Klitschko fight asap then i don't think i'll waste my time watching his next fight. If Harrison wins......then that'll just be fooking funny! :lickish:
Imagine the Klitschkos and Haye all losing their next fights

Agreed. Although I'll be paying to see Pac fight, two these two clowns.
I'll be sticking £20 on Haye to win in the rnds 1-3 too. Easy money.

Audley will be the hardest puncher Chicken Little has fought....he does hit harder than Monte Barrett doesn't he?

Not sure more than likely yes, I am just really pissed off because David Haye is a good fighter, Harrison has been a pro for nearly ten years and he has not beat anyone in the top 50, the best fighter he has fought was Dominic Guinn and he basically lost every round without throwing a punch, in his last fight he was way behind against Sprott who like I have said in earlier threads is basically used as workouts by European novices to get some experience, I don't mind Audley it's Haye who is the problem.
-
Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
Go Audley! ;D
I love Haye as a boxer, but it'll serve him right if he gets sparked out.

Is Harrison even the biggest British threat to Chicken Little? Who is next after this fight?

If Haye fights a Klit anytime in the future that makes you a mug. Think you're being a bit premature here.
And this fight is ONLY about the money.
-
I'm sorry I thought Chicken Little was the dude talking all kinds of shit about how he would "clean out the division" and according to his own time line he has maybe a year or two left, leaving maybe 1 or 2 fights left.
I want the big fight to happen, don't get me wrong, I just don't want to wait for it, if Chicken Little was so serious about making that fight happen it would have happened YEARS ago.

Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
As a big Haye fan and someone that's backed him when he has been criticized I'm hugely disappointed with him fighting Fraudley. I think his record up until then has been pretty decent and I never felt he deserved all the hate that went his direction. He went to France to fight Mormeck, Germany to fight Valuev, defended against the mandatory in his first fight as champ and now THIS!!
I know why he's doing - for the big pay day/low risk fight and so from that side of things I can understand it but as a boxing fan first and foremost it's shocking. After the Klitchko's first terrible offer to Haye before he was champ I felt he'd done all the right things. He got the belt they didn't have, defended it against his mandatory and I was really looking forward to seeing him fight someone decent before maybe having a fight against either brother early next year. But this is a joke of a fight! Fraudley doesn't deserve a title and what the fuck is the new HW champion doing fighting domestic (I'm being kind) level fighters? I don't know the in-s and out's of his offer from Wlad but from what I've heard it was a 50/50 split. Not sure about T.V rights but that really shouldn't come into it. 50/50 split for someone he apparently was chasing and claimed was ducking him his is fair game. I still think he'll end up fighting 1 or both of them next year but I think he's running scared because he knows he'll probably take a beating.
Come on David...sort it out. Your better than this though. For fuck sake...Fraudley...what??? :-\

Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
So, the Klitschko's have tied themselves up with their next fights, so I suppose Haye has no choice but to find someone that he can beat up on until the big fights can be made. But Harrison. Seriously?
I think the MEN Arena is going to be a bit big. This is in one man and his dog territory. Maybe Bethnal Green School Hall might be the venue to go for.

Re: Should be confirmed soon its David Haye v Audley Harrison 13th November M.E.N Are
Everything happens for a reason.
Haye wasn't happy with all the clauses and shit that the klits were putting into contracts so he's said fuck you I can make money else where. And thats exactly what he's doing.
There is an element of danger in this fight cuz if audley gets that luck punch and KO's Haye, then it really is all over. This is an everything to lose and nothing to gain fight. Haye should win it though and within the first 4 rounds.
No Audley doesn't deserve a title shot, but then neither does shannon briggs, Chris Arreola, Sam Peter (after already squandering two chances by not even bothering to get in shape), sosnowski, Eddie chambers..... I really could go on....
people like lyle and skel and whoever can speculate and take sides and call whoever they like a pussy.
No one on here knows what was in the discussions between the Haye and klit camp. And that is the fact. No one knows. It's just down to hear say and who you do or don't want to believe.
No one is able to say haye is a pussy or haye ducked someone until haye's career is over and we're looking back over it.

You are in cloud cuckoo land. Each of those fighters bolded above has achieved FAR beyond what Audley ever has in the pro ranks. The simple facts are that Haye has talked smack, backed out of fights against the Klits and instead of fighting anyway half way decent, has now decided to fight Audley Harrison. The guy is a sham and you don't need to wait until his career is over to come to that kind of conclusion.

A 50/50 split with no futures was a good reason to duck the person you made your name calling out? Haye did was was good for him financially, because Wlad would likely (though not certainly) ruin him, but he destroyed his credibility in the process and turned many of the people who had been cheering for him (myself included after the Ruiz fight) against him.

It's almost as bold as risking to break your teeth while eating yogurt. Still, I would be totally delected if A-Force would win as it would mean we have now a serious contender for one of the worst HW of all time.

i said in another thread months ago that i would not be surprised if this happened. David Haye's credibility is totally gone and its a complete slap in the face to true boxing fans. Anyone who spends their hard-earned cash to watch this needs to give their head a good shake. A total and utter disgrace. I cant wait to hear Hayes spin on this, i really cant. They are taking people on.

What annoys me is it is the fight that Sky want him to take too. I mean Haye should bowl Audley over in the first 2 rounds and the undercard will be shit shit and yet we'll have to pay £15 for it. Lets just hope Manny - Marg has more to offer than it perhaps should.
I will be buying it though.

You poor poor fella that's all I can say with you Barry your knowledge is quite pathetic in reality. Go have a look at some of them fighters you have stated are no more deserving than Audley record and where they were ranked when they got there shots you clueless mug.
Harrison has never beat a heavyweight ranked in the top 50 ffs, how the fuck does he deserve a title shot?? Please tell me His beat win is against a shot to fucking pieces Danny fucking Williams. Audley was not ranked in the top 20 by any of the Rnaking bodies but as soon as the Haye match was coming along nicely he miraculously appeared in the top ten for the WBA.
