Haye Statement - What could it mean?
Boxing - Haye finally resurfaces
Just seen on fightnews
What does everyone think this could mean?
I think he'll come out with talk of how fights have been offered to everyone and they have been declined and that's why he has signed to fight audley. I could be wrong though :)
I'd like to see him make offers from klitschko made public showing all the terms so we can see if it seems fair. (or something similar regarding other fighters and offers made from him)
Releasing a statement with no proof aint going to cut it, it will just be adding to war of words.
-
Re: Haye Statement - What could it mean?
In my opinion I agree with the klitshcko brothers. Haye is a pussy. He said he was going to go on to bigger and better things after beating valuev and the chance was there for him to start making aload of money, but instead it looks like his next fight is gonna be against audley harrison, which says it all. Haye will come out and say how the klitschkos didn't want to fight him or they wanted more money or whatever, but both have called him out in interviews and personally on youtube. Haye has huge huge potential to be a superstar in my opinion, and needs to quit with all the different excuses and fight one of them. I don't blame him however, as I believe both brothers would knock him out.
-
It means Wlad was right to call him a bitch because that's exactly what Chicken Little is....he spent YEARS calling out Wlad and Vitali, he got offered the fight MULTIPLE times and Chicken Little is the one that kept those fights from happening.
-
Re: Haye Statement - What could it mean?
...is it too much to ask to keep a running log of his excuses as to why he didn't already fight a Klitschko?
Excuses
#1 & #2 - vs Wlad: Setanta goes bust & he injures his back shaddow boxing
#3 - vs Vitali: Rematch Clauses
And I do believe this one is #4. Have I missed any? It is kind of hard to keep up with all this. I'm sure it'll be something about the British PPV money or which venue the fight was going to be at or the fight date would coincide with his menstral cycle or whatever, at the end of the day Wladimir Klitschko THE Heavyweight Champion of the World (according to: Ring, the WBO, the IBF, and the IBO and pretty much anyone with half a brain) called Chicken Little out via a PUBLIC STATEMENT and a couple months later Chicken Little wants to say why he didn't accept the offer...how? how does anyone support him? How can people not look at him and just see that he is in the sport STRICTLY for the celebrity attention he receives?
Wlad is just going to crush this chump

TV rights:
Boxing - Klitschko-Haye offer details
The sad thing is that Haye is a very good and very popular fighter who potentially could beat either one of the Klitschko's in what would be the most intriguing heavyweight fight in years. I think that is where a lot of the frustration comes from. Haye got everyone excited about the fight by talking a ton of shit and then by becoming a HW belt-holder, and then he goes and turns his back on it for easy money against a gimme opponent.
-
Re: Haye Statement - What could it mean?
You see more potential in him than I do CFH...I don't think he has a chance in Hell vs either one of them.
I watched the actual video....it's lame, it's more of a promotion of his twitter page than anything else one of those "Stay tuned" deals....HORSE SHIT! He's a b*tch and everyone knows it.
-
Re: Haye Statement - What could it mean?
...his statement means nothing just like most of the crap, t shirts, and opponets this guy gives us.
-
The statement means he's fighting Audley.
-
Re: Haye Statement - What could it mean?
It means, and this maybe a REALLY HUGE shock to Skel and Lyle.....
There is always more than one side to a story! ooohhh shock horror! :p
-
Re: Haye Statement - What could it mean?
I'm sure Haye has his side, but he's the one fighting Audley Harrison at the end of the day. :vd:

...I really don't know how you are able to justify getting a 50/50 deal with THE CHAMP and at the end of the day you turn it down for AUDLEY HARRISON just because of British TV money being pooled in with German TV money and split down the middle.
Maybe Wlad will be charitable and fight Chicken Little for free....would Chicken Little take that offer or would he complain about something else?

Is there anything, and I do mean anything that the Klits could say that you wouldn't believe?

Actions speak louder than words, Wlad and Vitali aren't the ones pulling out of fights, they aren't the ones that have disputes over the contracts, so by their ACTIONS they have shown they want to make the fight.
If there is evidence that they have tried to screw Chicken Little out of a massive amount of money then maybe I'll change my tune but up to this point it has been Setanta going bust, rematch clauses being too much for Chicken Little, and currently the British PPV money....all those are just excuses not to make the fight happen and they are all Chicken Little's camp.

Re: Haye Statement - What could it mean?
Haye v Harrison signed for November 13th. I can honestly see haye crushing him in less than 10 punches. Still, I will look forward to the hype beforehand. Also, anybody else find it strange that Haye has finally broke his silence now that both Klitschkos have announced fights?

Brilliant lol.
First and foremost it means he's not fighting either brother. I really hope it's not Audley though. I've still not given up on an Adamek fight yet and after seeing him last night Haye will know he is not much trouble and he is also someone he will get much more respect for beating worldwide.
I don't see how the Audley fight would be so big in Britain like I keep hearing. Everyone knows that barring a big lucky shot from Audley this fight would be total destruction from Haye and it's not just boxing fans that know that, everyone on the streets know Audley is a joke. I personally don't see it selling as many PPV's as either of Hayes last 2 fights on Sky and if he does turn to Adamek, at least he will get some exposure in the U.S.

What if it's Tua?
Honestly? Well, better than Audley but still it's someone Haye would school and I don't think anyone would pick Tua to win especially after the Barrett fight. We need fights that people don't already know the outcome of. That is what MMA offers its fans so why not boxing?

MMA has more options and more ways to cause an upset then boxing does.
But I think Tua would be a good fight. Or even Adamek, but from what im readin, Adamek looked like crap tonight. So he is even in the unknown. What heavyweight besides the bro's do you give a shot at beating Haye?

Re: Haye Statement - What could it mean?
The guy is a media hungry tit, I mean why the fucking big introduction?
So why don't he just tell us now instead of having his fans sorry ex fans judging by his facebook page in the dark as usual, so he has made a huge announcement about another announcement he is going to make soon
What do you reckon might spill the beans in the next six months?

The thing is though the last 2 fights Brock Lesnar has had I have thought he would lose but he hasn't. At the same time I wouldn't have put a lot of money on him losing either fight either. Both Haye and both Bros last fights and next fights I would put everything I own on if you could get the odds that you do for Lesnar when he fights.
I don't think Tua now causes Haye any problems whatsoever. When he fought Lennox he was half decent but he's totally shot now and doesn't even seem to carry the power of old anymore.
As for who I would give a shot of beating Haye? Probably no one other than the brothers. Adamek to me is the best option for Haye as he is on a roll and is making some noise and is much more respectable than Audley, but looked shit last night against Grant of all people which to me shows just how shit the likes of Arreola and co are.

But honestly a rematch clause like that.
Fight me, if you win fight my brother, if you win fight me again.
Is a waste of time in boxing and just sets the heavyweight division in an endless circle.
Boxing won't survive if things like that are allowed to happen or contractsl ike that are agreed to. You got to admit.
If Marquez told Mayweather, you beat me, you face Rafael, if you face Rafael and win, face me again.
Boxers don't have the years in them like they used to, they shouldn't have to deal with 3 rematch clauses for the same opponents over and over again. And it isn't like the old days when this could happen over a spam of 2 months, this would take a year and a half of fights of the same, and it would do more to sour heavyweight boxing instead of liven it.
-
Re: Haye Statement - What could it mean?
It's an erroneous point to begin with Majesty because #1 had Chicken Little beaten Wlad and fought Vitali and beaten him a) He would have been the first person ever to do it b) rematch clauses are voided all the time and c) Chicken Little (if we are to believe him) would have no problem with any fight "as long as the money is right" and #2 had Chicken Little gotten his ass kicked (as we KNOW he would have) the demand for such a rematch would only come from Chicken Little's camp and no one else's.....so where's the issue? What's the big deal? If it's easy to beat the Klitschko's then do it, if you don't want to fight them then don't, but don't say you DO want to fight them when in reality you're a chicken shit coward that wants to ride out their 15 minutes of fame.
Wlad even said (regarding the Setanta deal) "If Setanta goes bankrupt and you're not going to make enough money, why not tell me or my managers so we can make a new deal for you?"...the answer is Chicken Little didn't want to actually fight Wladimir because Chicken Little knows he'll get his ass kicked
And as for excessive rematches...there was a 50/50 deal with 0 rematches on the table and Chicken Little is STILL fighting Audley Harrison, so 'SPLAIN that to me

...well let me reach in my bag of unsigned boxing contracts
Where's the Harrison fight contract? Does Chicken Little not have rematch clauses? Is he giving Audley his fair amount of cash, what with being a pathetic local fighter and accepting the fight and following through and all? And I don't want "reports" I want a scanned and notarized copy of it.
....nobody has those details bar the managers (perhaps the fighters), but I am more inclined to believe the people who actively tried to make the match happen rather than those who have called for the match but have never followed through with the actual match.
I know this post will only draw your contempt but I can't argue with someone as illogical as yourself...your fighter signed on the dotted line to fight Wladimir and then chickened out that is a FACT nobody, not even someone as delusional as yourself can deny it

We all know that a fight with Vitali, the man who pushed Lennox Lewis into retirement would make most money because of the amount of Sky PPV sales that would generate. I seriously think Haye vs Vitali would get somewhere around 1.5million sales in Britain and it would sell out any venue here too. But Haye is playing the waiting game and not taking the fight. No one is denying that Lyle.

Re: Haye Statement - What could it mean?
Haye fights Evander Holyfield within the next 2 fights after Harrison.
Believe that.

Re: Haye Statement - What could it mean?
LOL, so what was the point of that statement then? An excuse to get the tits out and show a bit of sweat? How utterly pointless.
If Haye was fighting someone halfway decent then there would be far less shit being spoken, but as it stands Haye himself is the one going ahead and fighting Audley.
What a charlatan and what a poser too.

I'm just saying "if it's all about the money" then shouldn't Chicken Little fight the Klitschko's sooner rather than later? Ricky Hatton got beat by Mayweather and then went home had a couple more fights and made bank...what's wrong with that approach?

I'm just saying "if it's all about the money" then shouldn't Chicken Little fight the Klitschko's sooner rather than later? Ricky Hatton got beat by Mayweather and then went home had a couple more fights and made bank...what's wrong with that approach?
That is a little different Lyle Hatton has a huge fanbase from more or less day one, Haye's fans have only just come out to play since they have been led to believe he is the new Lennox Lewis by him the media and his team.
I mean only 18 months ago he only had 8000 in the O2 Arena ( half empty ) v Monte Barrett that was after an offer of by one get one free ticket was offered. If Haye gets beat I don't see him having the following of a Hatton.
