who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
with Haye not fighting one of the Klits I dont mind this fight happening. I think Haye will knock him out but for a British fight its not too bad. We havent had two British heavyweights with a name have a fight for a while. I am one for this fight going ahead now. I just want to see Harrisons face when Haye kos him hahaha ;D

both guys do more talking than they do fighting, so regardless of who loses it would be a plus, but i have 0 interest in this fight, might catch the replay if Harrison scores the upset and beats Haye

Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
I do enjoy watching David Haye fight, so i'll watch it, but he takes a serious nose dive in rep for me, its a joke of a fight compared to his initial talk of cleaning up the division. Fighting Audley, who beat a bunch of fat guys and a cruiserweight in Prizefighter, took a whole bunch of time off, to then come back and struggle by against Michael Sprott and save himself by the skin of his teeth with a knockout in the last round. Is Harrisson even ranked in the top 20 by anyone?
-
Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
have said it numerous other times in other threads but will say it again
YES I want to see this one !!
And I will also go to it - and I won't mind one bit if Audley is blown away in thirty seconds ;D
And it would also be hilarious if Audley lands a big one and wions world title - though that would scupper a Haye v A Klitschko showdown :-\

Yeah it would be a good heavyweight domestic over here in the uk,though Haye would be taking a great big step back in the respect of heightweight status.I thing Haye would ko Harrison within 60 seconds i really do.Harrison just wants a heavy pay day.It would be great practice for Haye to drop heavy bombs on Harrison.I read what Harrison said in todays Daily Star paper and i said that he would beat Haye in a toe to toe war:-Xand that he should fight him intsead of running away from the situation. He also added that he(Harrison)has already signed the concract to fight Haye on 13 november this year but said that Haye has'nt yet had the balls to back himself up by delaying to sign himself.I cant see this fight going beyond 3 rounds.Fisrt round ko to Haye 100%.It would be fun to watch though,at least Haye could FINALLY put Harrison into retirment for good.
-
I wouldn't pay money to watch it, but out of morbid curiosity and wanting to mock the performance of both fighters I may youtube it.
-
Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
Well I personally always like to see audley get battered. it's nearly as good as watching amir khan get Ko'ed
To be honest though I'd rather watch this than watch a klitschko beat up some fat, old, american bum.

So true. Amir Khan being knocked out gave me almost as much joy as when Manchester United won the Champions League in 1999.

You're from London then...

Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
I don't think Khan's brother is fighting at the Olympics I think he plans to turn pro because he wouldn't want to fight for Pakistan at the Olympics in London.

agreed, Wlad gets flack but he's always taking on a top 10 HW, and at least Vitali takes on guys that are in his top 10 mandatory list, Haye is doing neither by taking on Fraudley

...double agreed. It's funny to hear people complain about arreolla's shape while he's fighting, but support haye who is in perfect shape and doesn't. And fighting a garbage fighter like harrison counts as doesn't.

Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
I'm such a sucker for the sport that I'd probably watch a midget box a baby kangaroo if it was promoted well and there was a decent undercard, so I'm not going to lie and say I won't watch. However, it is completely irrelevant to the HW division and Haye has seriously damaged his credibility here.
-
Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
Would rather see him fight somebody decent, but seeing he's a pussy, then i'll look forward to see him fight someone at least, even if it is harrison who is truely awful.

Ha. Yes we don't have a contender in the heavyweight division, that much is true. But how much does it say about your boy(friend?) that guys like Eddie Chambers, Kevin Johnson and Tony Thompson have all jumped at fighting a Klitschko before Haye? Haye could actually stand to gain by fighting Chambers, Johnson and Thompson right now actually. All those guys are better then Audley and by a good margin. Even Kevin Johnson.

Pretty much the same sentiments here. I'm not going to get up early and watch it, but I will catch a replay just for curiosities sake. Pointless fight though.

To be fair, Eddie Chambers, Kevin Johnson and Tony Thompson can't draw 20 odd thousand to watch either of them fight a bum. They would if they could. Practically anybody would. If you had the draw power, you'd line your pockets as much as you could before tackling either Klitschko. Realistically Haye has little chance of winning, so after that his career is done with. He's doing what we'd all do in his situation. The only reason he's calling the Klitschko's out is to line his own pockets. It's self promotion, putting your name at the side of a widely known fighter. He'll fight one of them, possibly even both of them depending on how he does, so i don't see the problem.
To be honest, i don't even know why i'm even defending Haye. I ike him, but i'd love it if he got ko'd by the A-Train.. I feel the same as MarkTKO feels really.

Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
it will be a big fight in the UK so it makes sense, full stop.
-
Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
No its a crap fight Audley Harrison was losing to Michael Sprott, until he actually since 2000 decided to throw a punch without thinking of the consequences. And scored a miracle come from behind KO against a C level fighter.
I haven't been following the Haye vs Klitschko nonsense, but if that fight couldn't be made why not fight.
Alexander Povetkin
Ruslan Chagaev
Tony Thompson
Chris Arreola
Eddie Chambers
Odlanier Solis
Hell even fighting the Sam Sexton vs Dereck Chisora winner would be better.

Because nobody in the UK really knows who any of those are. Haye - Harrison will sell pretty big in the UK. And it's an easy fight. You know the drill.

Yea i know mate but to me its still rubbish fight, i just hate all this waiting for the big fights. I was really buzzing about a possible Haye vs Klitschko fight, and its bit of let down to have Haye vs Harrison to say the least LOL, im actually interested to see how far Dereck Chisora goes.

There's too much money to be lost, and infact too much is made of a fighter losing, for a fighter to go and take risks against tougher opponents for less money than he could make for fighting a better know but lesser skilled guy. Sad but true. It's not just Haye. A lot of fighters are the same. If i was in Haye's position, i'd probably take the Audley fight, knowing i can make a hell of a lot of money and i could beat him with one hand.

No I agree %100, however, Haye has been so sharp in his criticism of the Klitschko's and reckless with his mouth that bigger things were expected of him. He was the one who called himself bigger then Holyfield. He created this monster and yeah it may make money, but it's AUDLEY HARRISON. It's more then a joke. So yeah he's making money but because of his own mouth we are allowed to criticize him moreso then we would any other fighter. Plus you have his fans like Hornfinger and Lefty who go to the furthest possible extent to defend the guy and call Klitschko a bitch when the reality is just what you posted. That doesn't help things.

I don't defend haye. I mearly point out that you can't attack him or critisize him without attacking or critisizing the whole division. further more no one knows the truth or facts surrounding negotiations with recent opponants. It's all here say.

Just for future reference they've already rubbished the idea of fighting Chagaev. I actually do respect Ruslan, he's a tough dude and has had some hard breaks, the hepititus, the achilles injury, seemingly being "stuck" as a WBA fighter...its a shame. He was willing to fight Wlad on short notice (and vice versa) and that took guts.

how does that make sense? we're criticizing him because he's about to face one of the WORST fighters in an already CRAPPY division
-
Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
Yes you really can. Where is that video of Haye after the Enzo fight where he criticized the whole division and said he was different. Or the escalator confrontation? Or the talk after the Barrett fight? He's gone against his own word consistently so yes you can criticize him because he's the one who talked himself up as being different and going straight for the title. When Wlad told him to wait in line, he said he didn't have to because he was better and only the champions matter blah blah blah. Then he fought Valuev and beat him less convincingly then Evander Holyfield did, wasted time fighting his WBA mandatory and now fights Harrisson. It's garbage. '

This was 08! It's been 2 years and nothing. Note that Barrett was supposed to be 'big, dangerous and a name.' He brings all this on himself.

You should have just said "Lyle, all your seemingly inane rantings from 2008 regarding this one fighter were 100% correct and well founded"...and I would have just say "Thank you, I was just doing my due dilligence as a boxing fan"
I posted all the videos, I told everyone Chicken Little was nothing but a little punk, and I told you that if Chicken Little does fight Wlad then Chicken Little will get STOMPED...when, when will people start to believe me??? He compared WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO to Enzo Maccarinelli and Alexander Gurov...really??? I mean REALLY?!?!
Wlad said it best (all you Chicken Little fans pay attention) "TALK IS CHEAP"
....After listening to that commentary no fucking wonder Setanta went under

Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
You can save the ego-trip Lyle, we're all right on some things and wrong on others.
-
Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
I say Mayweather-Pacquiao steps into the ring against each other way before Haye steps into the ring with a Klit if at all.
2 years from now we'll be discussing Haye fighting 50 year old Holyfield at Wembley and why it's such a big fight and why he didn't fight a Klit again.:p

Re: who wants to actually see Haye-Harrison?
haye v harrison is gonna be a piss easy to sell to the general public in uk, the average guy in uk knows both these fighters but dont know fk all abt boxing:(. the media will have a field day & haye will be his usual media bitch self. he will be on all the talk shows & that shite question of sport show. they will get a sell out crowd & make shit loads & remember hayes chin is well dodgy so everytime he gets in the ring anything can happen, so any heavyweight has a chance against haye, i would probably piss myself laughing if haye got beat by audrey. its worth it just for the small chance that happened.

I remember reading an old thread here that people werent too sure about the Khan-Presscott fight but there were some that bought it anyway because of the slight chance Khan could get ko because of his shit chin. I think the members here said it was worth the money because the slight chance Khan did get ko happened.;D
I'm still not paying for it, but I changed my mind about watching it on a stream, because there is that chance that Haye could be sparked in hilarious fashion.

Would be a shame to waste that vs Audley, but you best believe I'd have a fancy new sig of it ;D
