Re visiting Abraham v Dirrell, them low blows that most on here said were body shots.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcKfT...layer_embedded
Just watching this again and just remember on the night of the fight alot on here saying Abraham was a bitch and just didn't like body shots complaining all the time have a look at this video three big low blows noway near body shots.
The knockdown is not as clear cut there feet do tangle a bit hard to say really.

That was a very dodgy fight all in all. Very obvious low blows and a clear KD IMO. As for the drama at the end...well, I'm not too sure. I think Abraham knocks him out if they meet again though.

Clear knockdown, clear low blows.
I can't stand Dirrell and despite out boxing Artur for 2/3rds of the fight, I think that had the fight gone on he had lost the mommentum and would have got knocked out. He knew it.

Re: Re visiting Abraham v Dirrell, them low blows that most on here said were body sh
i think its an awful show at the end
i cant watch it, he should have got a ban, we dont want this creeping into boxing
-
Re: Re visiting Abraham v Dirrell, them low blows that most on here said were body sh
I think if Dirrell and Abraham meet again Dirrell stops him. Whenever Dirrell stood his ground he worked Arthur. I dont see Abraham winning a round.

Anyone who thinks they were body shots as opposed to low blows really needs their head examining. Unbelievably blatant.

I thought the same about the acting at the end, yet a lot of pretty intelligent people on here seem to think he was actually knocked out. Odd. ;D

The only other more blatant low blow I have ever seen was Zab Judah vs Floyd Mayweather. That was pretty special.

I can understand the reason for the topic being brought up again......but it's neither here or there. Ask lucian butte how much it matters who did what once the fight is over. If abraham never leaned over and threw that freakin punch towards the ground it wouldn't matter what direll did after. It doesn't matter if he was acting or not..hell he could have brought a whole cast and crew into the ring and did some scenes from phantom of the opera for all it mattered after the punch. Abraham gave him the gateway to do whatever he wanted. Direll was simply too fast and too sharp that night, he beat abrahams ass for damn near the whole fight give or take maybe a round. One guy won one guy loss, time to move on. Even abraham isn't complaining about this fight anymore. He lost. Case closed. Going back and replaying low blows from the fight is fair......but not that we've done that let's sit back grab a beer and show the hundreds of shots direll landed clean (we're gonna be here for awhile) Those are the one's that made the difference. I dont dislike abraham hell i think he's gonna whoop froch actually, and i don't think he threw the punch with margarito cheating type intentions, he just got caught up. But accidently kill someone and you're still getting charged.

Abraham has a long history of embellishing "low-blows" so it's his own goddamn fault if people are skeptical of his claims when they are watching the fight live and in real time.

Those were blatant low blows especially the first one. I think the fight was as dodgy as it was due to the shit ref, don't even know why they allowed him to ref a fight in the tourney, never seen him ref a fight fair and unbiased. dirrell was running scarred in the end I think, and abraham fucked himself by throwing that punch while dirrell was down. Whether it was acting or not, that is unacceptable and he rightly lost the fight. In a rematch I think abraham stops him, he's not as skilled but you can bet your ass he won't ever seem scarred, which dirrell seems to be half the time.

As far as Froch - Abraham, I'd love to see Froch win.

I'm one of the few people who seems to think Froch has a decent shot of winning that fight. I'd probably have it about 60/40 in Abraham's favor, but if he covers up and just lets Froch pound away on him, as he's prone to doing, I think he stands of good chance of losing the fight and maybe even getting stopped. Now, that being said I fully expect Abraham to counter Froch and eventually stop him, but stranger things have happened and I am by no means counting Froch out.

What Dirrell did, or did not do depending on one's perspective, is pretty minor compared to the long, sordid history of boxing's shames. It might have looked bad, but I doubt it did any long-term damage.

i hope not pal, i hope we dont get boxers playing the goat like dirrell to win fights
and boxing does have a checkered history, but the black marks arent that often people acting like a big girl
it was embarrasing, im glad it wasnt an englishman behaving like that, i would have been ashamed

No chance. If he couldnt stop him last time when he had the ref on his side he doesnt have much hope any other time.
If anything Dirrell will be gunshy next time knowing that Abraham can put him in hospital with 1 shot. Andre was never the most confident of fighters in the 1st place.
Carl believes in his chin alot more but he cant afford to try and walk through them. If he can just keep his chin tucked down late on I cant see him lasting 12. I expect him to be ahead after 8 rounds so he has a decent chance of getting a decision.
