Great fucking stuff on the same night as the Booth-Molitor.
Good stuff. Nice to see sky starting to increase their boxing coverage, September looks like a great month of fights on sky so hopefully they'll continue that way
Really pleased to see Sky taking such an interest in boxing and, as mentoned above, September is going to be a great month for boxing. When Setanta went down the toilet, I thought boxing would suffer but, fair play to Sky, they have stepped up and giving us some cracking fights. Hoping they show the Cotto fight in December (should it go ahead). Pretty sure they'll be showing the Pac/Margacheato fight - rumoured to be as a box office package with the Chicken Little/Audley Harrison fight.
Cool, i'll make sure i'm out ;D
Anybody know if this will be on some channel in America?
I'm beginning to think David Haye won't even announce an Audley fight never mind anything else....:-\
Gotta give Sky some credit, their boxing coverage is getting back to the good old days. Could do with someone like Sky creating some interest in America too. Boxing would be so easy to make mainstream again if everyone wasn't so fucking greedy.
good news
I aint seen a boxing match on tv since mayweather/mosley:mad:
;D Not sure if this is common knolloge but Wladimir Klitschko-Sam Peter fight is being shown on sky sports 1.
Sky seems to be stepping up its boxing coverage with is great news for UK figth fans.;D
I'd give my left nut to see Peter knock him out, not because I dislike Wlad, but it don't get any better than the thought of Lyle booing his little yeehaw heart out
i am gonna get skysports!
i have bitched & moaned abt the price & all that but i fancy watching this fight! plus getting light headed abt missing all the premiership footy this season:(
Looking forward to another night of boxing on Sky this Saturday, and if Booth can show a similar amount of heart and guts to that shown by Ricky Burns last Saturday, he may be able to make a fight of it.
Not convinced that Sam Peter really has it left in him to push Klitschko, but it's the closest to a live opponent he's had for a while, so I'll sure be tuning in to that too.
Everything I've heard from the Klitschko camp says they are gunning for a quick KO. In funny news, while doing the target mits with Manny, Wlad accidentally brushed Manny with a right cross while punching through the mit....that's got to hurt.
I would love to see Wlad throw caution to the wind and KO him early. Wlad said "Each round I will try to knock him out" and Manny said "Wlad will win by KO in the 4th or 5th round and that may be stretching it"....So I hope Wlad just comes out guns a blazin'.....if he scored a devistating early KO vs Sam Peter then I bet he'd have an even harder time finding a fight after that considering how so many people don't want to fight him now.
I think there are parallels that can be drawn here between this fight and Haye v Harrison, in as much that both opponents are major underdogs, against guys whose chins have both been exposed in the past, but do have some power, although Peter probably more than Harrison.
I think if Klitschko does go out looking for a KO then it definitely doesn't go the distance, and I'd say Klit's got a 90% chance, Peter a 10% chance in that situation.
I really think that Sam Peter will be KO'd....not stopped like he was vs Vitali, but put down on the canvas for 10 seconds (maybe longer). If Wlad is going to pick up the pace a bit and throw more power punches, I doubt anyone in the top 10 could last the distance with him.
i gotta give wlad some credit for taking this fight after being put on his arse more than once against the nightmare! i can see wlad winning easily but u never know might be an entertaining night again;D
