Hey FLoyd needs to leave CJ Watson out of this! He was a solid Warrior, one of the better D League callups the NBA has seen in their league's history.

Re: Floyd's 10 year old son backs up claim that dad beat up mom
Wow. I'm a huge Mayweather fan, but he really is a piece of sh!t.
I guess its usually a case of "love the art, not the artist" in boxing.

This latest Floyd news, the Internet rant and "apology" and now the domestic spat intrigues the hell out of me.
It seems obvious to me he wants as much or more attention than Pac even when he's not fighting. And he's getting it. But I think it's ultimately backfiring as he's painting himself into a corner now.
The world simply won't allow him to not fight Manny now. It will berate and belittle him to the point he has no choice. There was a time not long ago when Floyd could have retired without Pac and probably still be talked of quite highly, though some would forever bring up his refusal to engage Pac.
I think that window has all but disappeared now. In fact I think Floyd may be battling some restless nights of his own now. Can I beat him? Can I? Mind you I'm not implying Floyd is scared, only Floyd knows that. What I mean is I have my doubts as to whether Floyd is quite as confident of a win in the darkness of the nights as he is on television and on the web.
There's a nasty truth lurking under all this, one that I have no prescience to foretell but that I think most, even the Mayweather fans (of which I am, at least his capabilities) are loathe to confess.
He can't win.
Sure he MIGHT win, much the way Atlantis MIGHT rise
from it's depths one day. Or the way Sarah Palin MIGHT be the next president of this country.
But he can't really.
And I think he's finally having to choke that down as this
inevitable clash looms ever closer.
Ricky took Floyd 10. Oscar damn near won a split decision. Shane about cold-cocked him in 2. Take no credit from Floyd, he is a tactical phenom.
But Manny. Oh my look at this upstart of late. Let the fandom and bluster fall aside and think this one through. What in god's name is Floyd going to do against the Manny of 2010?
It will be a blue eyed miracle if Floyd makes it to the last bell to lose his 0 via decision.
You wanted attention Floyd? You got it. And now I foresee no way to dodge the Phillipino hurricane without it haunting your legacy and your soul straight into the next life.

Funny how this thread isn't even about a Pacquiao fight. :p

Re: Floyd's 10 year old son backs up claim that dad beat up mom
Ah but it is.
All Floyd stories now are Pac stories, too.
The two are hopelessly and inextricably intertwined now. Can you mention one without thinking of the other?
Try it! ;)

Re: Floyd's 10 year old son backs up claim that dad beat up mom
Floyd mayweather and Pacquiao threads have now apparently become like the Kevin bacon game. But bringing it back to each other instead. Start the thread with the name Floyd Mayweather in it and see how many posts it gets before it comes to Manny Pacquiao. And vice versa.

$3,000 bail? That's like paying a nickel to the common man. FΠ©k Floyd, he deserves much worse.

Re: Floyd's 10 year old son backs up claim that dad beat up mom
I've never liked Floyd Mayweather Jr outside the ring, i doubt many people liked Mike Tyson outside the ring. But he still has many fans for his achievements inside the ring, im a fan of Floyd Mayweather Jr for his achievements inside the ring.
And anything he does outside the ring isn't going to change that, but he is a total scumbag for hitting a women. Considering he is a professional boxer, but i couldn't really give a crap about his personal life.
I just want to see him fight.

Re: Floyd's 10 year old son backs up claim that dad beat up mom
Floyd has been working overtime at making himself look like the biggest prick in boxing the last few weeks, although as Amat & CFH have alluded to, I think that he's on that same shit a certain fat Mancunian opponent of his is.
Anyway, anyone who actually thinks we can look to boxers to be role models in their private lives is out to lunch as far as I'm concerned. Loads of these guys suffer personal problems as a result of the sport, how can you expect them not be violent and/or have dangerous vices. The coverage of the Mayweather & Hatton situations in recent weeks have made me think this, as I'm shocked how many people are surprised.
Name me a great fighter & I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be too hard to find something heinous from their private life. Hell, two of the most popular fighters of the past 20 years, Corrales & Gatti, both were known for beating up their wives, whilst the GOAT SRR would regularly beat his wife Edna Mae within inches of her life.
Even the real good guys of the sport like Ali, Leonard & Pacquiao have their flaws whether it be womanizing, drug use or some of the questionable company they keep.
I know what we want them to be, but they're people just like us & given what they do for a living, they usually end up being far more volatile and flawed.
If you want a role model, look for a nurse/teacher/firefighter working double shifts for a lot less money.

Re: Floyd's 10 year old son backs up claim that dad beat up mom
- In 2002 floyd pled guilty to 2 charges of beating 2 women.
- In 2003 another domestic violence charge on another woman (Harris) but she recanted over their kids.
- In 2004 another battery charge against 2 more women in a club (suspended sentence and fine), and floyd did community service for assaulting a doorman.
- In 2009 a drive-by shooting from his car at the rink and his house was searched.
- In 2010, a racist vid and a charge for beating a woman (Harris), theft, trying to break her arm, punching and kicking her right in front of the kids, threatening her life and the life of her new fella, and threatening the kids when the mother screamed to call 911.
- floyd's mother is a violent crack-addict who shot floyd Sr while he was holding baby floyd in his arms.
- floyd Sr was sentenced to 5 years for drug trafficking cocaine.
- crack-head roger has been to jail a few times already, and soon will be going back again, for beating up and strangling a woman last year.
Yep, lil floyd's gonna "Clean Up Boxing."

Re: Floyd's 10 year old son backs up claim that dad beat up mom
To be a Great fighter, you have to fight the best opponents available.
floyd has cherry-picked for 9 years and never fought the following top guys:
Miguel Cotto
Manny Pacquiao
Antonio Margarito
Paul Williams
Andre Berto
Cory Spinks
the late Vernon Forrest
Kostya Tszyu
Joel Casamayor
Stevie Johnston
Paul Spadafora
When floyd was 130 lb Champ, Prince Naseem was 126 lb Champ, but no fight with Naseem, nor:
Eric Morales
Marco Antonio Barrera.
floyd DUCKED Mosely for 8 years till Mosely was almost 40 years and and shot: that was made perfectly clear when wild-swinging Ricardo Mayorga of all people was giving Mosley a boxing lesson until getting KO’d in the last rd.
floyd thought, “it’s time to fight Mosley.” http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/i...icon_smile.gif
And Castillo whupped floyd’s @$$ and got robbed on the cards.
Judah ought to have a DQ win over floyd too because crack-head roger entered the ring during the rd and went after Judah. That’s an automatic DQ.
Incompetent corrupt ref doing what the promoter wanted.
floyd’s a good skillful boxer something in the order of Michael Nunn, but floyd will NOT go down as a Great fighter because he DUCKED the most dangerous men for 9 years. Ricky Hatton is the sole top guy that floyd fought in 9 years.
Pacquiao’s the true Great fighter of this era because he’s been fighting the most dangerous guys available, dangerous men that floid avoided at all costs.
Pacquiao’s cut from the same cloth as Great fighters like Hagler, Ray Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Julio Cesar Chavez.
Any REAL Boxing fan knows the words above are true.
I know the truth about Boxing.

.
The first portion i agree with 100% esp the part about Shane.
The red part, Castillo fought competitively but he still lost. But not by the wide margin that was given to floyd. And Judah couldn't have won by DQ, because Steel called "time" and according to the nevada rules the trainer can enter the ring once "time" is called. Besides Roger didn't attack Judah, he attacked Joel Judah, and it was Zab that ran around behind Roger in an attempt to land a punch and as a result of his actions he was choked. Too bad.

That if proven true that it's immoral. At the same time looking at the stories, if Mayweather would be jealous if she was seeing someone else, why would he be engaged(according to 50's story). So I'm waiting like anyone should for the facts to come out. If proven true, it's immoral. If proven not true, then we all go back to waiting for another article to be posted about him or pacquiao that eventually leads to fans of both coming in a thread to bash or defend one or the other like we always do.
But I'll throw in a 3rd story. The man Mayweather is seemingly 'jealous' of. CJ Watson denies dating his baby mama
http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=30935
On top of that Watson already has a girlfriend named Danielle with him he has a child with.
So either CJ Watson is the next Tiger Woods or Mayweather's ex is lying out her teeth.
So she lied about Mayweather being jealous about them dating. So what do you think about that?

How is this about Mayweather-Pacquiao? Even Mosley thinks Floyd just needed time off, he did it before, and I think he wants to rest again. Time and time again Floyd has proven he is not afraid to face anyone in the ring. Manny is no exception. If you can't see the glaring flaws in Manny's style that Floyd will exploit at will then you are blind. I'll give you a few just as a favor.
Manny can't fight on the inside, he throws combinations, changes angles constantly, but when have you seen Manny engage inside? He covers up, waits for his opponent to finish then strikes back. If guys didn't punch themselves out and use a more measured attack they would be fine.
Furthermore Manny has been fighting guys who don't move their feet well lately which comes with being that much bigger and slower, but look at Manny against smaller quicker guys even Barrera and Marquez II, he didn't look the same at all, and its not because he has evolved as much as they had more comparable footspeed. Put Floyd in there and Manny won't be able to throw those devastating combinations. Roach saying Floyd's footwork is gone, but Marquez was able to time and catch Pacquiao on the outside, but he never even came close against Floyd. Mosley has exceptional speed, and except for one time where he came in differently from how Manny does, he wasn't able to close the gap quick enough. The point is Manny is off balance unless he has a guy who acts like a punching bag. Mayweather stays in balance more than anyone I've seen in the history of boxing. This means everytime Manny is out of position he will be tagged.
I guess you'll have to see it, if it happens now that all this bullshit is happening. If Mayweather is put in jail he definitely deserves it. Only a tool would hit a woman, and we all know this isn't the first time he has done it. Either way Floyd is going to beat Manny if the fight happens for the same reason he beat everyone else. His skill level is just that much higher.
-
Re: Floyd's 10 year old son backs up claim that dad beat up mom
This fight needs to happen in the worst way.
What do you say to the reasons Oscar and Ricky took floyd the distance (yes I know Ricky got sparked in 10 but it's Ricky Hatton for god's sake, not Shane Mosley). Ricky can't box a lick, he's a swarmer with a decent body shot but almost no true boxing ability. How did Oscar almost beat Floyd?
Manny destroyed both these men. Destroyed.
Floyd is a genius in the ring, yes. I admire his boxing prowess to no end. This is not a pro-Manny sentimental post. You can't compare Marquez to Floyd because they fight completely different.
What was wrong with Floyd on the nights he needed a half hour to catch Ricky? And the night he damn near lost to a totally shot de la Hoya?
-
Re: Floyd's 10 year old son backs up claim that dad beat up mom
This is not a forum for Pac vs. Floyd and the subject was his behavior according to his ten year old. I am not a fan of Floyd but he is good. His problem was being idle and letting his emotions get the best of him. My suggestion, get busy Floyd. I may not like him but damn he's entertaining. If he does fight Manny I'll make sure I order the fight.
-
Re: Floyd's 10 year old son backs up claim that dad beat up mom
^ RE:"My suggestion, get busy Floyd."
Get busy?! Y'mean get back in the ring?!
He's goin' to jail this time, fella, he's gonna get sentenced to at least a year.
johnni cochrane sure as $#!t ain't takin' on any more new cases like this nowadays, is he? (G@d dam his soul...)...
People don't realize how serious floid's most recent arrest is this time, he's charged with 4 misdemeanors and 4 felonies this time...and he has quite a long history with the law already, Nevada will take that into consideration also.
If prosecutors have enough of a case to make even just one of the felony charges stick, floid will be sentenced to a minimum of one year in a Nevada state prison.
With lil floid's long history of woman-beating (as listed in post #18 ), he's gettin' sent up the river this time.
I know the truth about Boxing.
EDIT:
Mayweather felony charges have him on the ropes
