Everyone lasts the distance in Floyds fights unless you come after him nonstop for 6 rounds with your hands down. (see: Hatton)
Floyd can barely crack an egg, and he only tries to work slightly harder than his opponents. He's got it beat into his head so bad that his hands are going to break he will not risk throwing punches that hard.
No chance in hell does Khan see the final bell.
People say "Well Mayweather isn't a big puncher". Well, he doesn't have to be. When you fight Mayweather, you are going to be taking a large abundance of quick, FLUSH, accurate power punches. Floyd is obviously no Julian Jackson, but they add up and take their toll. Khan being a smaller man with a HIGHLY suspect chin, I don't think he'd see the end of round 6. Floyd would take a lot more risks against the smaller man and put him away rather early IMO.
Khan is to easy to hit but he would cause Floyd some problems with his speed early.I recon Floyd stops khan in under 9.
Khan wouldn't even get in the ring with mayweather.
khan would probably see the final bell vs. mayweather jr., but on the flip side, he would get schooled like a professor schooling a kindergartener.
I think it would be something like the Mosley/Judah fights. Mayweather could have had either of those fights stopped by piling on but he never did and both of those guys made it to the final bell. I would predict something similar in the Khan fight. That wouldn't really be a credit to Khan, it's just a matter of Mayweather not having any sort of killer instinct. That works for him because he's been so much better then everyone he gets in the ring with.
oh my god c'mon guys will you please stop, i keep spitting my drink over my keyboard with all these ridiculous khan jokes. With his chin he's about a punch or two away from not remembering that right hand madaina will probably land on him coming up. I'm no maidana fan but if he could land all those shots on ortiz he'll land one or two on knan and for prescott that's all it took and it wasn't really all that devastating of a punch that he first caught khan with. You can put stuff in his gloves but there's nothing you can put in that glass.... at best roach can just teach him not to get caught. But all this khan floyd stuff is just plain silly. Hell i guess Deontay wilder is ready for one of the klitchko's now too.... And let me say i'm not a khan hater, you can look back at after he lost to prescott and see i said that people were being too tough on the guy for loosing just one fight and let's see if he can recoup and answer the question about his chin. It's only been like five minutes since then and now all of the sudden him and floyd hell pac too is reasonable ??? I'm not jumping on either train. I'm sure there's some 16 year old training in a gym somewhere that could take an asswhoopin for 12 against floyd........so what ??
I'm sure Khan would last 12, he wouldn't win, but despite having a weak chin, it's not as if it is actually made of jelly. He would get schooled I'm sure, but I really doubt a stoppage.
The only time this fight would ever happen would be when Floyd is too old, but then it would never happen because Floyd is not stupid and wouldn;t want to risk losing.
Khan wouldn't see the final bell at this very moment - but IF they ever fight Khan will be in his absoloute prime, coming off tremendous wins against the likes of Bradley, while Floyd is getting less active and older.. so it might not be the joke 99% of people think ;)
So Khan beating Bradley is just a given? ;D Can't wait for that one.
......as is Khan vs Maidana! ;)
No. Floyd would know he could KO Khan and I would expect him to chase the knockout somewhere in the mid-rounds as Khan started to tire.
Floyd takes him out within 6 rounds.
the only way khan would ever fight mayweather jr. is if floyd was old and waaaaay past his prime. until then, he will continue to feast to smaller, older fighters.
Khan has improved...he has. But I think and can invision Mayweather literally laughing out loud at Khan ring center and then schooling him badly.
I like Khan, but he has to get past Maidana, probably Ortiz & then whoever is on top after the Bradley/Alexander doubleheader. He's got serious talent & if he beats all that I'd give him a chance if Mayweather got past Pacquiao, but not a big one.
Mayweather might not KO everyone, but in his last 2 fights he's looked like he could've KO'd JMM but decided to get the rounds in & he had Shane Mosely staggered all over the place where Naazim was talking about stopping the fight. Those are two 1st ballot hall of famers, the 2nd of whom was a bigger fighter with a great chin. Amir Khan is missing on all those counts. Plus the Malignaggi fight showed that while he is talented & I see him causing Floyd trouble with his jab, he can be easily hit & if Mayweather lands those counters on him that he did on Mosley, I expect Khan to go. I reckon Mayweather in the 8th.
Ye Khan would see the final bell because he would have the confidence and experience by then to survive at the least as he would have had to unify the light welter division and Floyd would have to be on his last legs.
