He's not fightning Edison Miranda...Brinkley is a tougher nut IMO. For Brinkley to have any chance I think he has to land a money punch that rocks Bute. Brinkley has looked ok in recent outings, but come on guys he was stopped by Joey Spina for fuck's sake! He needed the worst robbery of all time to beat Anthony Bonsante.
This should be a cakewalk for Lucian Bute.
BUT I would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it if Brinkley was to somehow cause an upset. As most of you know I think Bute is one of the most overatted fighters in the sport, I mean it's ridiculous. We all know nothing good has ever come out of Canada, they are a nation bound to mediocrity (sorry CFH and Youngblood, no offence guys, but you know, your country is very bland and unimportant in the scale of things, it's like Belgium or Switzerland but bigger) and they have never had any sporting greats of any note.
Bute will get exposed soon enough (if you don't think Andrade did it already), but I don't think Brinkley will be the man to do it.
If he somehow does though I shall certainly be creating many vitriolic little anti Bute threads :)

Brinkley is a tough worker and he's earned his title shot. Credit due to him. Bute is on a different level, however, and he will stop Brinkley inside 10. It has some slow rounds but got good later on , the last 3 rounds were good.
A younger Sheika woulda won that fight.
