Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
I think people are going a little over board as if Khan is some duck out of water, Khan is cocky and backs himself nothing wrong with that, I mean if Khan does a number on Maidana apart from Pac after that I think Khan is high up on the list of possible opponents for Mayweather at 147 and under if u ask me.
Don't get me wrong I think Mayweather does a number on him, but sometime like a similar thread people respond to a Mayweather Khan fight as if Mayweather is fighting a 60 year old blind man, Khan if he beats Maidana is deffo on Mayweathers radar if Pac can't be made imagine the UK PPV income it would create.

Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
I like how Khan just had his first real fight with Malignaggi, and everyone is ready to conquer the world behind this guys talent. IF and IF (big if) he gets through the Maidana fight, and we see how his chin holds up, then we can give a thought to what he can do on the world stage.
Khan is still very much developing. I am "fascinated" to see him beat up on a guy with 5KOs in his career. Nothing to worry about coming back and hurting you there. But he has only failed when his promoters got a little creative with his opposition.
On the other hand.. Mayweather would like to fight someone coming up in weight, I'm sure. He loves the "challenge". And Khan is still far too wet behind the ears. He doesn't know how to overcome at all.

No disrespect fella, but that is utter bollocks, I guess you missed his total shut out against Kotelnik the guy who just got robbed against the WBC and IBF Champ at 140.

also add in Mayweather has been talking about wanting to have a massive fight in the UK for some time now

Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
Khan is not in May's league. But hey, why not spew a bunch of shit out of your mouth to try and get a 15mil or more payday.
As much as Mayweather annoys the fuck out of me, he's a oustanding master boxer, with a great chin, and stamina.
Khan is a solid B+ level fighter. But when you want to be a crossover elite boxer, you have to have A's in most of the categories you can rate a boxer.
Once Khan shows chin improvement (like Manny did) I will re-evaluate my thoughts on him. December will be very telling for Khan's career.
Until I think otherwise about Khan or May -
Mayweather Ko7 Khan (I bet with either a straight right, or his infamous "check" hook)

Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
The more I think about it, I think this fight could happen quite easily.
Think about it..
Alexander v Bradley two fights taking place including the rematch so theyare going to be tied up till late 2011 if any of 2011, so Khan can't fight them two.
Mayweather if he doesn't fight Pac I think Khan represents the biggest money out there in around 147 and on paper is not really a fight that he should have many problems in.

Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
If Khan keeps winning even his ridiculous haters will start calling for it. Fact.

Non taken (disrespect).. But I just see Kotelnik as a gatekeeper to the 140 division and nothing more. If he is going to be a boxer, he better have the skills to win a comfortable decision, if he was a puncher, he would have the ability to stop the fight when he hurts his man. Unfortunately for Kotelnik, he is neither. I like him as a fighter, but not as a measuring stick from how great Khan might be. Top that with the fact that Kotelnik is a counterpuncher by nature, and Khan just ran the whole fight... I think the tapes will show clearly why Khan is a real... well... pu$$y.
I am eager to see how he handles Maidana. If he is going to put on his Tutu and dance the night away with the Village People, then I'll be tuning in elsewhere, because Khan will not gain fans that way. He still has so much to prove.
Fact is I don't see Mayweather giving two shits about fighting Khan. He doesn't care if its a British show down or a Louisiana hoe-down.. He wants the big money. Don't ever think Mayweather is out there for anything other than that. I do NOT see him fighting outside of the US before his career is up. There is just no reason for him to have to, when he could fight 1hour away from where he lives/trains/sleeps.
I really do wish Khan the best. I hope he gets his confidence back (yeah like he ever lost that). And I would like to see him keep taking big fights

What utterly great logic.
Khan wins he's a pussy, Khan loses he's a pussy.
Genius.

Oh come on now.. I wasn't saying that. I was pointing out how he won, and who he beat. I think he has great talent, and he so young and fresh for the sport.
I see the way Roach is bringing him up after getting his block knocked off a couple years ago. I just think Khan has way too much money for Roach to turn away from. Khan would otherwise never be in the position he is with getting to spare with MP and other great stablemates. It's pretty obvious Khan wants to be the best, and not just talk like he is the best. Go Khan! I'll be cheering him on in his next fight.
Look there are times even in ODLH, Whittaker, Leonard, career where I wasn't thrilled with their performance. I hope Khan gets in a fight worth watching that is longer than 63 seconds ;D
Also, if he doesn't stop chasing Hatton around, I will never take him seriously

Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
I don't think mayweather would fight someone with Khan's hand speed.
-
Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
I'm not Khan's greatest fan but for someone to say he is B rated fighter is just stupid.
Within a couple of years, he'll be up there in the p4p top five imo.
People forget he is still young and will get better and better - especially with Freddie Roach in his corner.
Khan vs Mayweather would be a very intriguing fight.

Let's get past Maidana first!

Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
I thought floyd was a coward, scared, a ducker etc......then what's there to prove by beating him. It' s funny to hear people downgrade and talk shit about the guy yet his dick is the first one people jump on to get attention for themselves. How bout going after a good fighter ? Not grabbing on the coat tails of a guy who doesn't even want to fight right now. I'm not even sure he can beat maidana....shit he'll probably be the next guy in line claiming he can beat floyd or pac next.
-
Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
Khan could next year fight Floyd as a warm up for Pac Man, I like that idea.

In other words... Be original and call someone new out that you actually have a chance of fighting. You know, I said the same thing when Marquez called out Floyd. I thought it was pretty funny of him to say that. I think that was the biggest surprise Floyd ever gave me. Now nothing shocks me with him.
Khan should be trying to clear out the division first. He's acting like there is no competition for him @140.
God forbid I don't give a 19-0 fighter from Brittian all the credit in the world! :slap:

Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
Khan better be prepared to take a blood test whilst standing on one hand & balancing a car on his feet, or this fight ain't gonna happen!

yea and he'll add 2 more spectacular knockouts to his record......knockout losses that is, he'll be following right in Hatton's footsteps
-
Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
I don't see Khan be any ready for Mayweather's yet. Still, for Roach, it would be one more test before preparing Manny for the Floyd, sound all good to me:)

Re: Khan Hypes Up A Bout Aganist Money May
Seems like Floyd and his camp always sets aside a great game plan and something unprdictable...
He out wrestled Hatton, Stalked Shane...
He needs to get his act together.. His Internet tirade was extremely immature and distasteful, building hype is necessary and seldom do 2 good guys make for a riveting story line but the constant denigrateing off his opponents to the extreme distasteful is getting plain nauseating.
I think Pac-Money will happen when Rogers future is sorted as well as his idiotic pending legal debacle.. SO yes Khan would be a great test and a heck of a test before Pac, though Kahns athleticism is off the charts, I just think it would come down to a cerebral battle that Kahn dosent have enough experience yet to win

Agreed.
And by the time Khan gets enough experience, Mayweather (same with Pac) would already be on the other side of the hill.
I think Khan really need to stfu and concentrate on Maidana.
