The fight is finally around the corner. Who do you have?
Manny is a -450 favorite against Margarito. The over is 9 1/2 rounds at +110 - that seems like a decent bet to me. No?

What is that (over/under) in fractional odds - around 11/10?
If there is a stoppage, a late one looks the safest option, so yes the over could be the bet.
I'm gonna bet Margarito to win because I think the odds are pretty good so i'll pick him here even though I expect Pac is the most likely winner (what an embarrassing wishy-washy post :vd:)
Im a big Pacman fan. Hes the reason why i started boxing and why that i watch so dam much of it, but Marg is just way too hungry and his power is going to be a huge factor
Pac sparring video.
Check out how Manny toyed and let his opponent bang him in the body at 00:03:00, and unleash hell on him at the last 15 seconds of the round.

I'm closely torn between a Pacquiao stoppage or decision. I don't buy the PPV hype & think there's no way Pacquiao wins this, I have pretty much always backed him to win since the first Barrera fight (ODLH excepting) & bar the 1st JMM & Morales fights, he's always proved me right. I hope he really punishes Margarito & it's rare I feel that way before a fight about any fighter.
I've tried sooooooo hard to NOT go for the Slugger in boxing's biggest fight as they NEVER win these days but I'm a sucker for a puncher so I'm going for Margz TKO.
I know he won't but I want it to happen to the point were I'm convinced I can will it to happen.
Problem is, I don't even know wtf I am hoping Margarito wins ???
Pac by UD, Margo is close to being washed up.
Pac supposedly juices
&Margo wraps his hands with plaster like they're burritos.
Who knows the true capability-
but if both were rumors
I'm stumped.
But I support Pac over Margo anytime.
Pacquaio doesn't seem to be the same this time around. 154 might be to big for him. Personally, i think that Margarito might have what it takes to beat Pacman - Anyways i would have love to see Pacman vs JMM one more time instead of this freak show.
i think pacquiao should be the favorite. the man has been on a huge run lately and he's at the very top of his game. but seeing the margarito/cotto fight, i sense that margarito is going to give pacquiao more than he can handle. since then, margarito i believe has only gotten better with his new trainer, roberto garcia and i think he's going to pressure pacquiao and punish the body like there is no tomorrow. after about 6 or 7 rounds, when pacquiao sees margarito still coming forward, he's going to be saying "wtf" and he's going to get frustrated like cotto did.
call me crazy but i believe margarito has a very good chance of ko'ing pacquiao and putting a very big beating on him. remember, in boxing, nobody stays at the top forever and i believe margarito has the right training, mindset and tenacity to defeat pacquiao.
Pac's not KO'ing anybody lol
Margo has been gone for a while;
who knows how he's been warming up meantime
He's obviously gonna have a chip on his shoulders
-he looks kinda retarded too.......:-\
I just don't see Margo getting KO'd.
Show me the KO statistics for Margo, how many times it's happened to him
&how many times Pac has done it.
I'm not tryna be antagonistic; I'm serious. Show me the mula ;)
Just watched Margarito's fight against Paul Williams. Good fight.
If Margarito can put it on Pacquiao the way he put it on Cotto and Williams the boy are we up for a great fight.
Boxing history has said that when a very good fighter gets beat up from the head and body in a lopsided fight that Margo sustained in numerous rounds as in the Shane Mosley match, they almost never recovered to beat another elite fighter. There is only 1 or 2 exceptions in boxing, but that's what they are exceptions.
I can maybe see Marg winning if he kick Pac between his legs or something. Other than that, I don't see how walking straight at Pac with no head movement, being slow, etc. would get him a victory :(. I feel bad for a guy when he goes in the ring with a very low possibility of winning. Do you guys really think this is competitive?
Rather see Pac vs Williams if the Floyd fight never happens.
The voters for Pac by TKO need their heads testing.
Pac will overwhelm Tony and finish him late Pac KO9
I don't have any stats, but I guess the only real KO of note that would be relevant is the Mosley one... And I really think Margarito was shaken for that fight due to his "advantage" being taken away only moments before getting in the ring..
He'll be a tonne more right in the head for this one and I think Pac will really struggle to put him down...
Mascaris mentioned watching the Marg/Cotto fight which really shows how much Margarito can come forward and pressure.. But Pac is going to be landing more shots, harder shots, and from more angles, and catch Margarito more by surprise than Cotto did... You saw in Pac/Cotto fight that Pac is in a different league to Cotto...
He'll do much better than Cotto i'm sure, but as for doing what Mosley did,,, Mosley ended up with a completely messed up in the head opponent with the drama before their fight,,,, and Pac is not going to be that lucky...
Can really toss a coin as to how Pac will handle him.. But I believe Pac will win... Just to much class and to good on offence.. Regardless of pressure, I think Pac is going to have at least 5 of the first 7 rounds in the bank, and Margarito will have to KO him to win..
In fact, scratch all that.....
By round 8, Pac is going to have made Margarito look ridiculous.. Outclassing him in every way, and landing way more than Margarito could have ever expected to take...
Bring on the real challenge in Mayweather..
:rolleyes::-\:lickish::cool:
pac by tko , mosley may have taken a hell of a lot out of margarito
