Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
I've been absent for the last several fights 'cause I thought there shouldn't be any problem with our boy in those fights. But for the first time in a long while, I've seen some real concern among local folks about the possibility of pac losing. So I've come out of my meditation lair to see our boy through this fight. But not so strangely, these same folks have been singing a different tune lately; oh yea, they're actually just singing the tunes dished out by boxing media for them, just like most boyz and galz out here. So now I'm not so sure if my concern is justified. Yup, it's true pac's been playing hooky several times at the local camp. I've seen his early workouts and definitely he was way too slow - and sloppy - than his usual self. But me guess that he is probably mature enough a boxer, an athlete, to skip the usual training regiments and improvise his own routine to fit his needs, the way he sees fit. Good for us, in his latest workout, he was 'satisfactorily' fast enough, but definitely not his fastest. I've almost no doubt Tony will be the strongest and biggest fighter pac will have faced. And IMO, a good shot could do my boy in:-X... ...but of course, it won't;D, sorry about that. But seriously, the possibility is there. Will it be or will it be not, or is it possible? That is the question. Seriously folks, what'ya think. Give it to me straight as it is, I can take it, and to prove that, I've got couple of boxes of Kleeeenexxx handy...
...In my deep meditation, I had a vision of 'Pac wearing an Australian made 8-ounce glove' in a cryptic way of saying...

Re: Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
Kleenex.....really??
Pacquiao is going to win because of or even in spite of Laurence Cole or any judges that may be around. This is PPV with the #1 P4P fighter in the sport today and if a judge or a ref fucks it up then they probably (knowing Pac's fans) will receive death threats and never work again.
Margarito is big and strong (physically) but I think if you look at what he's said about Roach and about his hand wraps, I see a lot of confidence issues in him. He's acting too cocky, if he was acting less like Ricardo Mayorga (which seems a bit forced because I don't think Margarito ever acted this badly before) then I might be worried because it means he has respect for Manny and he's focused on the gameplan.....all this kidding around bullshit is showing me that Tony knows his time is up.
-
Re: Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
Mayorga !? What ? Where ? Who said Mayorga ? ;D
Seriously tho I really cannot see Pac losing this fight. I suppose IF all the BS hype about him not training hard enough were true, and IF Margarito somehow was able to lure Pac into an inside fight against the ropes and get him into the later rounds then MAYBE he could wear Pac down and TKO him. But I just can't see any of that being true. Pacquaio is just wayyy too fast for Margarito, and too skilled, and will keep the fight in the center of the ring and jump in and out and pot shot the much slower Margarito, eventually rocking him and finishing the trashy bastard.

Crawl back under the f****n rock you came out from and stop worrying.

pacfan,
relax man, it's only one fight. the world isn't going to stop spinning if pacquiao loses! should pacquiao lose, don't feel bad for the guy. he's had a great run and like he himself said, you can't win them all because none of us are invincible.

Re: Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
Thanks milmascaras1 and the rest of the babes. Pretty much what I wanted to hear. I'm bit surprised though 'cauz in the old dayz, when anybody even just hinted pac losing, half the fools here (ok, let me put it this way, 'nice' fools;)) would jump into the bandwagon and they'd have a one nice, mud party; well, at least the kids had fun... Anyone else who dares to rock the boat? Be my guest...
BTW, where are the ol' good guys here, Wacks, Cutemick, El Game, etc.
Hello Dean, good to see you around...

Meh.
With the type of intellectual superiority and insights you so obviously possess over the mere underlies that frequent this forum, it is still nice to see your smiling disposition. To get put into our/mine places and reminded why for the reasons having set forth by the guidelines of that frame of reference often sited as, and back by...well, u know....jungle hours and your overall level of moral times tested due diligence.
I am just happy to be in your presence, sir. So thank you for that.

Re: Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
I suspect it will play out like all of Pac's recent fights. At the end of the night, we'll all likely be wondering how we ever thought Margarito had a chance in the first place.
I do think, given the size disparity, that it is a bad style match-up for Pacquiao, but he's an unbelievable talent and right now I'd have the fight around 80-20 in his favour.

Re: Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
cliff notes : I hope pac murks marg. just cuz...

Re: Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
I have the urge to hunt down some scene from predator...."He bleeds too" Speed kills...so does looking past your opponent. Tony likes to be punched in the face and Manny will accommodate him but it will be two way traffic for as long as it lasts. First on his heels gets ktfo

Re: Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
Pac is widely expected to win. Margarito at his best presents something new stylistically for Pac, but we have no way to gauge where Margarito is at mentally. The Mosley fight was awful, then a year out and a rather pedestrian showing against an average opponent in his comeback.
Margarito looks in great shape, but so does Manny. We can easily look at a body, but it is the mind that I would like to peer into. If Margarito is really ready to go to hell and back to get the win, then Manny might well be in for a hard nights work. But you would expect Manny to be the one feeling far more confident in his own abilities.

Re: Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
There's always a possibility someone could lose. That's why we've never seen boxing odds that read "25/0", although Pac has the recent history to back the odds of him winning. I don't think its as forgone as everyone makes it out to be. It seems Marg could prove to be too long for Manny. Mosley stopped Marg, but Pac doesn't hit near as a hard as Shane. Also I look more to the possibility of Marg being paid to show up rather than to win. Arum is not going to let the opportunity of earning a maximal amount of money while getting a possible win over PBF just go away by having Marg beat Pacman.
-
Re: Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
I too sense something that Bob Arum is choosing Marg to fight the PAC not by possibility that PACMAN will lose a great match-up but both fighters are very popular in USA.

Re: Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
Geez, I can't believe it, it's unanimous. I wonder what all the fuzz about pac being underweight etc., is all about now. I guess I can do away with my tissues, or do I really?..
Sorry 'bout a bit of sarcasm, that's just my way 'breaking the ice' so to speak and it's been my style here ever since. But some people, especially those who fail to read between the lines, tend to misunderstand me for it, coupled with my not-so-cute name here;D, which attracts all sorts of trouble for this poor fella. Otherwise, I have a tendency to be squeaky clean when I write, an impression I'm trying hard to avoid with the gangsta's here:cool:. Everyone who knows me well here knows I'm not the usual overzealous pac-fan, a pac-fool nevertheless, lol. I've been a casual but serious:confused: boxing fan for over 30 years now, being there, of course in front of the tube, for most of the big fights since the 'Thrilla,' to the 'lull years' of late 70's for the heavyweights when Ali was on the downhill and when Danny 'Little Red' Lopez was making some noise among the 'underweights', to the 'no mas' fiasco, Sugar Ray outboxing Hagler (depending on your view), and a little vacation (I don't remember why though) during the late 80's to early 90's, and back ever since the dela Hoya days. I was there too when Japanese wrestler Inoki and Ali pulled off the greatest heist of the century, right there in the country where it happened, again of course in front of the tube:(...
...got carried away a bit, where am me. Well thanx anyway. Still waiting for some 'desenting' views though. Here's one interesting view:

Anything you say, buddy, I'll take it without any reservations. Hope you've been doing fine.;) Don't forget the the 'let go' principle. Key to peaceful life is continuous 'letting be and letting go'.

Alright, fellas, gotta go now. Thanks for your contributions. You've all been cool kissed (on the forehead of course), and hope you all enjoy the fight. Wish us luck... ...if you wish.;)

Re: Possibility of Pac losing to Margo, how serious is it?
Margaroto might even end Pacquiao's political career if he catches him with one of those looping right hands.

I think helping Bob Arum support Harry fucking Reid get re-elected will hurt his political career more than anything Margarito can do to him.

Do you mean "If it bleeds...when can kill it ?"
Or perhaps you were referring to Jesse Ventura's signature line " I ain't got time to bleed."
Do not misquote "Predator" !!! Not in my house young man !!!
