To be honest, I'd completely forgotten about this fight.
My only genuine thought on this is that for the sake of the heavyweight division, I hope something positive comes of it.
I'm disappointed this fight isn't coming off. I don't think the fight itself means anything, I just think Manny Steward is pushing Wlad to better his game and it would have been nice to see if Wlad followed through.

Its a legitimate injury and not an "injury" so once again I fail to follow your line of reasoning. Wlad's a professional boxer and sometimes injuries just happen, this injury in no way benefits Wladimir who throughout his career has fought 2-4 times a year every year whether he's held a title or not. In the fight (that never happened) that you guys are referencing a certain someone bailed on the fight with a phony injury because the TV company that did his contract was going bust and he backed out, he also backed out of another fight to sign an easier fight (a title shot vs Valuev) so he could increase his leverage in negotiations....how do those circumstances match up with this situation?Quote:
