I can understand Adamek wants to earn some easy $ but still, this bout shouldn't be main event. What are the chances of Maddalone being a threat to Adamek today:confused:. I can't stop thinking that such uneven match up would never be possible in UFC (except as a freak fight). Or am I mistaken about Maddalone?
Maddalone has about the same chance as James Toney did against Randy Couture. A punchers chance.

He'll outbox Maddalone with ease...the only question for me is whether or not he'll press for a stoppage.

Ive not actually been overly impressed by Adamek at heavyweight. Sure he's been in some exciting fights but that's in a large part due to the fact that everyone has been very competitive against him.
I expect him to beat Maddalone, but I also expect him to have to work to do it.

At least Adamek is active. He's an attraction in NJ and cultivating the market there. Also, he's proved that he can earn good money not being on HBO. I'm a fan. In a way, I think he is underrated. He stopped Maddalone in 5. Boystov and Mormeck couldn't stop him and he was in the fight with Mormeck the whole time. I think Adamek is still gaining his bearings as a heavyweight. I've not seen the fight yet but it sounds like it was a comprehensive win. Although Maddelone isn't a world beater I think that sounds fairly impressive. It does show he is growing into the weight class
His fights with Arreola and Grant left me with some question marks as both seemed to hurt him on occasion and I felt both were capable of beating him, Grant had he opened up more and from earlier on, and Arreola if he had not had the shoulder problem.
But he does seem to be able to handle himself against bigger guys and must be seen as a legit top 10 heavyweight now. I still think he has zero chance against either of the Klitschko's, but a fight with Dave Haye would be a great great fight.
It was a PPV. Not worth buying though.
