"Money" going to Jail for how long.
The arrest warrant issued for Mayweather Jr. last week was rescinded, has been reinstated.
AFP: Judge reinstates Mayweather arrest warrant
This boy is in trouble same as OJ, because the prosecutors are playing a bit of politics. However this is an easy charge for Mayweather to get dropped, although he'll have to spend some nights in lockup as soon as they pick him up. All he has to do his pay off the 'poor' security guard. You can keep your eyes open for TMZ to grab the video of him being arrested, if he hasn't already turned himself in.

Re: "Money" going to Jail for how long.
so sad! what a waste of talent. he already accomplished alot but could have done more. i see him in and out of jail for the rest of his career/life!

Re: "Money" going to Jail for how long.
Dumbass. I mean really. Boxing wise you have the world at your FEET with oppurtunity(s) to stamp yourself a legend. Instead your dicking around around on web cams, talking about what you would-could-should do and beefing with mall cops :p
Ok cue the ....its just publicity for Manny fight posts ;D

Re: "Money" going to Jail for how long.
Mayweather is what they call "New" Money. He doesnt know how to act with all that cash he thinks he's a demi god. "New" Money Mayweather.

He ain't doing no time. All he gonna get is a bunch of community service that I'm sure he'll sign off through his foundation

Re: "Money" going to Jail for how long.
Floyd keeps on stalling stalling and stalling his fight with the pacman when inevitably they are going to meet anyway. that's why he attracts all sorts of this nonsensical trouble because at the back of his mind he wishes it to be (actually anything that appears to be valid just to stall the fight) and now the law of attraction as usual conforms with him and finds a way to give him valid reason to actually stall the fight.
anyway, jailed or not these two are gonna meet in the ring for sure. sooner or later..

He can't just buy his way out so easily. The DA is the one pressing the charges not a third party for the charges he faces up to 34 years. This arrest warrant he faces 6 month in Jail time, but what you have to keep in mind is that it is for "Violence". The only reason he was released, according to 'the prosecutor', was because he is Floyd Mayweather Jr. which is why the Judge re-instated it. This means 'the prosecutor' will likely argue 'No Bail' for being arrested twice for violence. His argument will also be that he receives preferential treatment if he is released. It's not a case where he is Lindsay Lohan and only hurts himself. So ya because he is Floyd Mayweather Jr. he gets away, but I'm not so sure the Judge has much choice to override the prosecutor's objections.

They're gonna make him a poster boy like what they did to Michael Vick.

We'll see what happens. The prosecuter has clearly got a hard-on for him, but the fact is that this charge will not see him in jail. I suspect even the other one won't, although that's more of a close run thing. The idea he'll do 34 years is laughable. Look at how much shit Tony Ayala had got away with especially considering his prior history & he had none of the influence or star power Floyd possesses

That's right, and likely his attorney will arrange for him to be arraigned as he surrenders himself. I doubt he'll get convicted of all the charges he faces on the first arrest and likely the ones he does get convicted for he'll do time. And then he'll likely get concurrent sentences for them as well. But it will be enough to wreak his pretty ass in more ways than one. I don't know if this is the same prosecutor(s) that got OJ but if it is, its starting to look like he's building a resume to further his career. If that is the case, then the bigger the celib the better the resume. If the prosecutor is successful in getting Floyd's bail revoked, he'll have to wait in lockup until his trial date.

Re: "Money" going to Jail for how long.
He's gonna go to jail for maybe one hour. He will go turn himself in with his lawyer, they will process him like any one else, photo, fingerprints etc. Then he will bail himself out. He will never spend any real time in a cell, it will all be more of a formality.

You clearly stopped reading after the bit about the DA's hard-on for him :-X
He is very unlikely doing time & he will not be doing it in any kind of serious correctional facility, not for any of this. If he does any time in a penitentiary expect it to be the safest one around & for him to basically have a long stay in a hotel teaching prisoners to box. I doubt he does any time though. As for his 'ass' which you seem preoccupied with, if Lil' Wayne & T.I. can get through jail time without being molested, Floyd will be fine.

Re: "Money" going to Jail for how long.
Even if Floyd did serve time, it doesn't mean the Pac fight can't happen.
HBO and Larry Merchant did fights in prison before. James Scott vs Eddie Mustafa Muhammad.

All part of Floyd's master plan. He's not stupid. Why leave his bubble to keep getting in trouble with the law?
-
Re: "Money" going to Jail for how long.
I highly doubt Mayweather will do any 'real' time. This charge on the security guard's laughable too. I know a battery is a battery, but if you poke someone in the cheek and leave a red mark, you're not going to jail even f it is technically a criminal offence. I agree with Jaz, he's very unlikely to go to prison but if he does it won't be in a serious facility.

You just got arrested for poking someone in the face. What you gonna do? Cry? The shit is so fucking stupid. And the fact that's even reached this stage should be embarrassing to the city of Las Vegas. How can you not fucking laugh at it? I can just picture him in a 6 man cell
Inmate 1: Bitch stepped out. So I chocked her ass out. What ya'll in for?
Inmate 2: Car jacking and robbery. Robbed a 7-11. Car jacked a car to get away
Inmate 3: Assault with a deadly weapon. Fool try to short me. So I beat his ass with a brick
Inmate 4: Attempted murder. Shot some fool. Gang related
Inmate 5: Burglary. Break and entering. 4 counts. Been hitting houses all over
Inmate 1: Ay you in the corner! With that 50 cent shirt on. What you in for blood?
Inmate 6 (Floyd): Poked a guy in the face. With my finger

According to a report from the Associated Press, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been freed from a Las Vegas jail after being arrested on Thursday night on a misdemeanor warrant based on allegations that he poked a security guard in the face last month outside of his home. Police Officer Jacinto Rivera said Friday that Mayweather was released without bail from Clark County jail. Mayweather was in custody for nearly 12 hours after being arrested at a nearby Las Vegas casino.
Mayweather's lawyer Richard Wright says a Tuesday court date has been set. On November 15, Mayweather is alleged to have poked a 21-year-old security guard in the face during an argument over parking tickets. Mayweather was already free on bail on unrelated felony charges which stem from a September dispute with the mother of his children, Josie Harris.

Re: "Money" going to Jail for how long.
Floyd will get little time if any there are two different justice systems for those with and without money. I hope they give floyd 40 to 50 years of hard time for two reasons. First it would be fun to watch how many people would still call out floyd and on top of that say he's ducking them cause he won't break out and fight them. And secondly all of our families can sleep a little bit safer knowing that floyd and his violent finger isn't running around. We all know vegas is a family oriented crime free city. They have no murderers, open warrants, molestors, gang members or robberies so it's nice to see a city with so much extra money and time to focus on getting big bad floyd off the street.

OK you don't quite get it because the third party source is incomplete. The actual source
Mayweather's Lawyer and his defense Attorney did their jobs, no question, that is what they are suppose to do but not before the the prosecutor got in his jab. The round is not over yet. So don't total your card just yet.
"The judge, Tony Abbatangelo, scheduled a Tuesday hearing to determine whether Mayweather should remain free pending trial. The misdemeanor case carries a possible six months in jail and a $1,000 fine."
What is not really clear, is did the prosecutor ask for Mayweather's bail to be revoked or if is he asking that Mayweather not be allowed bail for just this incident. Obvious the prosecutor is linking them so I would gather "Freedom" is the September trial and his current $33K bail they are talking about rather than just the misdemeanor bench trial as report implies.

Vick has a good shot of winning NFL MVP and possibly leading the Eagles to a SB victory.
The Peta people must be pissed off as hell.

Re: "Money" going to Jail for how long.
I'm starting to think all this drama might be fake hype. I read Mayweather Jr. is in Belgium. Out on bail facing Felony charges and out of the country and due in Court?
