I remember playing this game all the time at the local arcades as a kid.Me and me brother used to always play 2player mode.God i spent all my hard earned pocket money playing this game.I've heard that you can now play on it on the PSP,is that right?I'd love to get it for me PSP because it would bring back all the great memories as a kid again and it would save me putting £ after £ after £ into the arcades,ha.

Space invaders and pac man I would watch others play because I could not afford it.
I became the greatest ever Street Fighter player as Ryan (spelling) and spent loads of money on that.
Quite good at Mortal Combat with Sub Zero.
tetris on the gameboy, the whole family had a contest about who could get the highest score, including the parents, and they were not into games at all but tetris just seemed to cross boundaries.
Oh man could be here for days ;D One word and first home computer addiction: WIZARDRY. Great game...well at the time lol
Arcade way back had to be "Galaxy"...Ring king....Star Castles....Zaxon....Gorf...Contra....this one martial arts game I have never been able to remember. Platform style and faced series of foes, guy with long chain ??? Some chick who used fans as weapons, a guy with bolo cane, etc. LOVED that game.
Ps 1 'Hogs of War' classic!!!
For old computer games I loved the Sierra games like Space Quest, Kings Quest, and Leisure Suit Larry. Arcade favorites were gauntlet and 720 the skateboarding game. SKATE OR DIE !!!!
I've been playing through the sonics again recently. Got my daughter the entire sonic collection on one cartridge.
Forgot just how brilliant they all were. Strange that after all these years, I can still remember where the hidden spots are.
SWOS and Italia 90 I think are in the retro bracket now and they were quality.
I have too many favourite really retro games to name, C64 was where it all began for me.
The first 3 Sonics were great games. I also really liked Streets of Rage 1, 2 and 3. Those early Mario games were also pretty good too.
+1 to the Sierra games...I didn't own a gaming system till I was in college but I remember playing a lot of Tecmo Bowl, Contra, Ultimate Fighter and the Mario series as a child.
Streets of rage.. Galaxian.
I'm old school as i remember my dad coming home with the Atari 2600 games console...
Asteroids etc ;D
I used to love Gauntlet at the local 7/11 back in the day...Bombjack was another fave and Street fighter and Double Dragon played everyday in the Puma Tracki shop after school. ;D
Gauntlet - Play your favorite 1980s arcade games online. FREE Video games! Shockwave, Flash, Java and DOS classic games for your PC. Brought to you by Triplets and Us
The first console I ever had was the Atari 2600 and my absolute favourite games on it were 'Centipede' and 'Dig-Dug'.

But one of my all-time favourite games was a pretty obscure (I think) game on the SEGA Megadrive called 'Gun Star Heroes'. You basically moved through the level as fast as you could shooting as much shit as you could. There was shit to be shot everywhere!! And the best thing was the the guns just got more and more absurd... Man that game was just the ultimate shoot 'em up!!
It was kinda like Sonic The Hedgehog with a M16

I would of called it the Wee Fit. Or maybe Pii Active? :p
Great thread for nostalgia,
1st computer/games cosole we had was the Spectrum 48K, and upgraded the series as they came out, ending in the 128k with the built on cassette player to load the games. Then came the Amiga etc...
Fave games were:
Manic Miner,
Jet Set Willy,
Double Dragon,
Skool Daze ( awesome fun, get to let off stink bombs in class etc, then Skool Daze2, which had a girls school ya could go too and cause havoc there )
Match Day ( 1st footie game i can remember playing )
Kick Off,
Emlyn Hughes Soccer
Chuckie Egg,
Galactica,
Sport Of Kings ( horse racing game, quality fun )
the list could go on, but thats just a few
Remember Anotherworld game,proper classic!
Sensible Soccer was brilliant as was Italia '90... 'GOOOAAALL!!' ;D
http://mastersystem8.com/game/583/world_cup_italia_'90/
Sensi was awesome, even better when they brought out the version where ya could manage a team and buy players - Michael Laudrup was quality coming in from the wing and curling it in the top corner !!!
Also wasnt Italia 90 a spin off from Kick Off on the Amiga ??
How did I forget Mike Tyson's Punch Out...I still enjoy beating the crap out of Glass Jaw Joe from time to time.
[QUOTE=No Contest;935903] Kings Quest[QUOTE]

Mortal Kombat was a lot of fun. I spent a summer working construction. We were trying to save money for school so we never went out. Lots of nights with a twelve pack and my buddy's sega genesis. Here are the top 10 fatalities

I was recently just strolling downtown and there was some people gathered around one of the street hawkers that got my attention so I went to see what it was all about. The seller was demonstrating his 'new' game. It was a Chinese copy of the old Super Mario game sold for less $10. It brought back a bit of nostalgia in me, playing those stuff with my young nephew during the ol' times... Well I argued to myself, it's just 10 bucks, pacfan, get 'em.. so .. I payed the man and hid it inside my bag and went back home and making sure nobody was behind my back peeping, I started to stomp those turtles and ducks, jump over the fire, evade ninja turtles shooting stars, and the canons, swim around those squids... boy that was fun!;D
...what really amazed me was it came with 1 cartridge with ALL the ol' major Nintendo games in one! You guys know what they are right, the ones with spaceship/rockets, tanks with bricks, duck hunt etc...
...actually, never being a serious gamer and I've never outgrew the old Mario... and even then, I was a bit old for those stuff, just keeping my nephew happy those days like what all good ol' uncle usually does. Well, as for my nephew, he grew up to be a serious gamer and being 75% Japanese, he was one of the millions fellas who lined up in a cold street of Tokyo all night long just to be one of the first guys to get the first Nintendo Wii... ...ain't it strange...;)
I blew soo many quarters on that game I could never get past the first lvl, but it looked so awesome I just had to try again and again. It was all timing , which I didnt seem to have down at all. Surprisingly the old Tennis for nintendo was fun for me, but I never really liked tennis, but that game was addictive.
