Alvarez-Hatton March 5
Looks like it's going to be announced this friday, and take place March 5 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Going to be on HBO's "boxing after dark". It's Matthew Hatton in case you were wondering.

Alvarez will definately be ready for Cotto/Mosely after this test! I dont understand why Berto and Alvarez dont fight. Oh yeah it involves risk.

Good point. Let's not forget, he's will be ranked #1 by WBC(according to fightnews). Which means mandatory for Pacman.
UNLESSSSS
you meant Mosley is going to beat Pacman;)

I personally wouldn't mind seeing Matthew spear the corner post like his brother

Re: Alvarez-Hatton March 5
Well you can't even give mathew a punchers chance, because let's face it he couldn't smash an egg with a baseball bat.
Could well be the end of Matt's career. I hope he is getting paid well for this.

Lets hope Matthew wins this to force the issue. Pacquiao has avoided Matthew Hatton for years!

Agreed on Berto, but be fair to Alvarez, he's still only 20. While M. Hatton is pretty crap, it's still good experience for Alvarez.

Re: Alvarez-Hatton March 5
I give credit to Mathew for taking this fight he could just defend his european belt but he wants the big fight. Only one outcome to this fight tho Alvarez is leagues above Hatton.

Is Saul really that solid? He's young, green, and haven't really been tested. I'm not sold on him yet. But this will be a good test.
BTW, didn't Floyd mention Mattew Hatton as an opponent sometime ago? It have to be money in fighting a Hatton!!!(Love u Floyd - ;D)

Re: Alvarez-Hatton March 5
This is going to end for Matthew how it always does when a Hatton fights in the States - flat on his back.
Canelo within 6.

Alvarez isnt the finished article yet but have you seen Mathew Hatton? fight he is'nt that good at all.
There is no way Floyd was ever going to fight Mathew Hatton imo.It would of gone down as one of the worst mismatches ever.

Re: Alvarez-Hatton March 5
Although i'm not big on Alvarez, Matthew Hatton is going to get totally mauled in this one. I say Alvarez inside 4 without any problems what so ever......

Floyd vs Mosley was a mismatch - Mosley with a punchers chance
Floyd vs JMM was a mismatch - JMM had no chance
Most of Floyd's fight was a mismatch. Not because of the lack of skills his opponent had, but how great his skills is.
What's your point, really?

They all had skills and have been world champions Mayweather is that good he makes people look crap even tho the are world class,Hatton is very limited in the skill department and has never been close to world class. Floyd would of got alot of stick for fighting someone that is so far down the rankings.

Re: Alvarez-Hatton March 5
I just read James Kirkland got released from the halfway house and may be headed to Vegas to prepair for a fight March 5th on this undercard. The is starting to look like a worthy ticket!

Re: Alvarez-Hatton March 5
Saul is a BIG Kid and still growing. Matthew Hatton will get stopped like Jose Cotto.
Hopefully in the future though we will see Saul fight bigger guys like James Kirkland or Margarito.
