I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
I'm goin against the grain and pickin Alexander tonight.
I think he'll outbox Bradley from the outside, and be motivated by his last poor showing to redeem himself.
I'm worried Devon might break down a bit down the stretch, or give up his height but I'm gonna pick him anyway.
Alexander by decision.
Anyone with me ?

I'm with you. Before this fight was made, I was riding with Alexander as being better then Bradley. His height and length is going to be a factor in the early rounds. But I also think Alexander is a better inside fighter. Although Bradley throw body shots to kill offsprings.
I hope this is going to be a great fight.
No replay of Martinez vs Williams 2 please

Don't get caught slipping cause you've been sipping too much cognac and the pontiac peeps. Alexander is GOING DOWN!!!

Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
Alexander KOs Bradley in 7th.

Guys I love Devon Alexander, and I wish him the best and every success in his life and he deserves nothing less, but I feel it's Bradley time right now, I've said before, I just see that look in his eyes, it's his time tonight. I wish both fighters the best, cause they deserve all the positive stuff and accolades that come their way, there both crazy talents, I just feel it's Bradley night tonight.

Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
I can't agree with that. I think Alexander will start better and look more flashy early on. But once Bradley has adjusted and starts to up his workrate Alexander is going to wilt. Alexander doesn't know how to lose though, but that Kotelnik performance was no accident.

Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
Alexander is going to walk Bradley into a ton of counters, he'll win and I wouldn't be surprised if he stopped him.
-
Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
I think Alexander's left hook or right uppercut will get the job done. Dude has amazing power.
-
Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
I think Bradley is a very improved mobile boxer and it'll show tonight.

I think a lot of people are underestimating Alexander due to his last performance.
Even at 23 I see Devon as being the more experienced of the two going 300-40 as an amatuer.
And 21-0 Pro.
His Amatuer Pedigree is the difference here.
I think if he can keep his composure and slow things down enough mentally he should be able to take advantage of the Openings Bradley leaves defensively while getting off offensively. If he gets behind a stiff stick he should be able to bait Tim and set traps when Tim comes in.
I like Tim a lot he's a conditioning Wizard but he's gotten away with a lot of fundamental flaws.
I don't want to go as far to say he's amatureish because his style has served its purpose thus far.
But he wings his shots and at times slaps like he's fighting under the amatuer pts style system.
Never really sitting on his punches or turning them over.
I think he's wide open for a Alexander uppercut on the inside and if devon can hook off of the uppercut its game over.
If Alexander pumps his jab and uses his straight left to get respect and distance. I feel he can alter Bradleys pace enough to get him get over anxious or feel a bit desperate and come in reckless enough to counter w/the uppercut and hook.
May the best fighter win.
Regardless I feel this is a good fight and the winner sits at the top.

I feel the same way and imo Bradley just adapts better especially in adverse situations whereas Alexander still only had 1 gameplan and can't really adapt as seen in the Kotelnik fight.
This will be interesting, so let's see.

Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
Looks like I'm not alone.
Plus Teddy Atlas picked Bradley, so you know he's gonna lose now ! haha
Here we go !

Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
Devon is 23 years old, it will likely play a big part at a big match. I am not saying he wont win though. I just hope it'll be a good scrap.

Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
I must admit that while watching all this pre fight stuff I have butterflies in my stomach. I can't wait for this. May the best man win.
-
I think this could be similar to mayweather-Judah, but Bradley can get wide open defensively and Alexander can crack when he sits down on shots.

I felt he was up 5 rounds to 4, but then lost the early seconds of the 10th, and it had to be scored so he wound up with a draw on my card.
But I could see givin a close round to Bradley and thus Bradley winning 96-94. But NOT 98-93.
In any case it seemed as tho Bradleys pressure, the repeated head butts and the fast pace caused Alexander to panic and choose to take his chances on the cards and hope for the best.
Very disapointing.

Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
I totally could see 98-93 bradley since i had it 8-2 bradley. alexander just was never going to be able to deal with the pressure brad put on him and devons shots didnt ever look to land solidly

You felt Alexander was up? Which fight were you watching? Alexander made most of the same mistakes he always makes. He just moves around a little and throws punches will as his speed behind everyone, and it makes him really, really predictable. If Bradley wasn't in such a habit of coming in too fast, winging punches he could have really outboxed Alexander who IMO has improved at all. I don't think Bradley dominated or anything, but Alexander didn't do very much at all, despite maybe landing the better punches from time to time.
-
Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
i like armin had Bradley up 8 rounds to 2, he outworked Alexander and landed the cleaner more effective shots, Alexander danced around and would land mostly keep busy shots that had little effect, IMO Bradley's aggressive style, the pressure, and his over hand right just had him baffled, i didn't really think Tim was fighting dirty, in the last headbutt it was more Alexander's fault than anything else, either way no way i'd wanna see a rematch, so much hype and the fight was shit not even mildly entertaining

I am going with Bradley even thought I want Alexander to win, here is my prediction vid I made a couple of week ago to back it up. Not one of those dudes that says "I knew all along" with out proof!

Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
I think Bradley clearly won the fight. He landed the better punches and continued to be the aggressor. Devon did close to nothing against Bradley, he was dissapointing.

Re: I'm pickin...Alexander ! Who's with me ?
I did not realise that both fighters were guaranteed PPV fights for their next fight until Teddy Atlas said in FNF. That is crazy and i am sure that is what Devon had in mind when he retired from the cut.

Merchant practicaly have both fighters there options during the post fight interview.
I bet Alexander ends up with Maidana next.
