Khan is now looking at...Junior Witter.
http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/5316/capturezmv.jpg
He is seriously running out of options isn't he?
Junior Witter ffs. ;D
-
The thing is witter said only a week or two ago that he can't get down to 140 anymore, or he's unwilling too. Like u say it ain't a great fight anyhow. Definately not ppv worthy, witter has an awful style and is defo past his sell by date , he is a handsome devil tho, so I bet he can sell a lot of ppv,s to the female audience, I bet this is what khans team is banking on. Of corse how did I not see this before

Re: Khan is now looking at...Junior Witter.
Khan shouldnt fight the Lord Of The Dance . he is a twat

Re: Khan is now looking at...Junior Witter.
Anything to avoid Prescott, eh.
Prescott has said he'll fight for shit money (pretty much). Khan wants nothing of it.

Just because Prescott KOED Khan , doesnt mean he should get a shot at the belt , he doesnt deserve it.
Khan should fight him in a none title fight.

As opposed to witter who has?
As for a non title fight, fair play. I'd even pay ppv for that.
Erase the demons.
Junior Witter, as a possible opponent, is embarrassing. As mentioned above, Witter said he can't even make 140 anymore. A ppv against a washed up, weight drained fighter. Great. Here's my £15 sky....shyeahrite.

Re: Khan is now looking at...Junior Witter.
The general british population bought fraudley as a real opponent so team khan figured hey we can do the same thing and a fight a corpse of a former fighter.

The general British public all know who Audley - Olympic Gold Medal - Harrison is, no-one but hardcore fans know Witter. That's why Hatton scandalously ducked him forever.
For the record - Khan never gets through 12 rounds with a prime Witter. Fact.

Yes Witter is past it, he could not handle Bradley and has had a knee injury and is old and knackered. He still would beat Hatton though.

Khan has zero chance of stopping Witter. But, without doubt, one of The Hitter's wild, lunging off balance haymakers or million rabbit punches would have Khan unconcious. Fact.

Definitely. Surprisingly nice guy is Witter. And he did have decent enough power.

At this point Junior Witter is an even worse opponent than Breidis Prescott, yes Breidis Prescott hasn't done much since he beat Amir Khan. But atleast he has power and has beaten Amir Khan brutally before. So it would be nice to see if Amir Khan can hold off Breidis Prescott for 12 rounds.
Breidis Prescott will atleast come to fight, unlike Junior Witter who pretty much quit in his fight vs Devon Alexander. And has been shot for quite sometime now.

Yeah Witter would most likely fold the minute any decent fighter puts a bit of pressure on him.
Would love Khan to fight Brook. Would love to able to see the exact moment where Brook realises he's completely out of his depth. ;D

I don't think Kell Brook is all that in all honesty, i thought the Michael Jennings fight was getting interesting up until the cut.
He has some good skills but he thinks he's better than what he is, which leaves him exposed. Amir Khan had to improve on his defense and it took a loss to do it.
Maybe Kell Brook needs that to knock that arrogance out of him, but James De Gale, Nathan Cleverly, they impress me and they will go far IMO.
But yea a Junior Witter fight sucks big time, just make the Breidis Prescott fight happen. Amir Khan hasn't got any big fights at this point, and just revenge this loss and show how much he has improved.

i saw it yes, and i believe the problems witter says he had were true
thing is do you actually think that peterson has a better chance against khan? he might go the distance but highly unlikely and probably wouldnt land a punch, a fight with ortiz would be over in 2 or 3 rounds and be totally one sided and i cant see mclousky fairing much better although his style could cause a few problems
if witter is anywhere near his best he would put up a better fight than those 3
Brook is quality dude, i think he would win

Really ? because to me it looked like Junior Witter had no fire anymore, and looked for an easy way out of the fight.
He's 36 he hasn't fought since 2009, and the last time he fought he looked shot and had no desire, plus as someone pointed out he can't make the weight, so its a bit of a joke really.
No i didn't want to see Lamont Peterson, but i wouldn't of minded Victor Ortiz. Because its a fight between two young flawed fighters, which would create fireworks.
But i would rather see Breidis Prescott, yes he's lost twice since beating Amir Khan. But so what the fact is he still destroyed Amir Khan.
And he has the height and reach plus the power to stop Amir Khan, i still think its a very dangerous fight for Amir Khan.
Im certainly not one of the people who think, Amir Khan totally dominates Breidis Prescott. And if Amir Khan thought that he would of took fight fight already, so i still think Amir Khan is probably a bit worried by Breidis Prescott.
He felt the power and he has doubt's, whether he could make it past the finishing line.

perhaps it was an easy way out for junior, i for one believe him tho
and yes i think a fight against prescott is interesting
I think witter is as a legitimate challenge as the others mentioned tho, even more so
Ortiz is good when he is on top, in a fight against khan he would be under pressure from the start and would fold quickly i think

Re: Khan is now looking at...Junior Witter.
I'm losing more and more respect for Khan.

Re: Khan is now looking at...Junior Witter.
What happened to a fight with Zab Judah? I liked the sound of that one.
Judah, Urango, Nate Campball, Kendell Holt, Katsidis, Mitchell, Murray...
Plenty of potential opponents out there imo.
-

Judah backed out of negotiations when an IBF Title shot was awarded to him and his promotor won the purse bid. If he can beat Kaizer Mabuza, Judah has a belt, which will get him a big unification payday.
Nate Campbell retired after losing his last fight to an average opponent Boxing - Nate Campbell retires
Holt just fought, and I think Khan would be skeptical about facing a fighter with his power straight after Maidana.
Mitchell has no comeback date yet...
Urango I'm unsure of...
Katsidis & Murray are both on the shortlist.
-
Re: Khan is now looking at...Junior Witter.
Katsidis may well be 'on the shortlist' but Khan sure as shit won't fight him in April.
-
Holt was on our radio show Sunday just gone. He said he'd absolutely take an opportunity against Khan no problem but it would depend on how low Khans low-balling is.
-
Re: Khan is now looking at...Junior Witter.
I'm going to get a rediculous amount of stick for this
BUT!
If Junior witter takes this fight AND ISN'T WEIGHT DRAINED I think he'll beat khan. Junior's style is horrible for anyone to deal with.

You shouldn't do. Anybody who has any power can potentially KO Khan. Throw in Witter's odd style and it's not hard to see why Khan could struggle.
On the other hand, Witter is probably shot, weight drained and will have lost the will to finish the fight by the midway point.

Sad but probably true.
