Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
Think Ricky Hatton will get a come back fight?I know he was withdrawn from his boxing licence but i know he requested it back and wanted to make a come back fight sometime this year, thats what i read last year before xmas but i've heard nothing since.I dont blame him making a come back, but i also would'nt blame him if he did'nt.I mean the way he fought against Manny Pacman was just wrong tactics and all of his defences and head movement during that bout was way out of Hatton's normal fighting stance.Wether it was because he knew he was going to lose before the fight or just upset of what happened in the changingroom before the fight,or wether it was because his reflexes from old wars from previous fights caught up on him.I'd like to watch him come back with a few decents fights, maybe 3 before he retires for good. What do you folks reckon?

No I don't think he will. He's mentioned on a couple of TV shows recently that he's retired, but he's never officially announced it. He doesn't have the desire for it anymore, so he should just get out of the game competing-wise and concentrate on promoting.
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
he fought the wrong tactics against manny yes
the main reason he lost so badly was because his punch resistance had gone
as his style relies so heavily on punch resistance i think he should stay out of the ring
having said that i would be watching if he came back
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
Who will he fight if he come back?
Jr Witter?
JMM?
Ortiz?
I got it Morales for the WBA Black Belt!!!
Beer on me Ricky!!!
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
A comeback vs DLH for DLH VERY last showdown :D At least, that wouldn,t surprise me much.
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
I would like to see him in 1 last fight but his time has past and wouldnt want to see him hurt again.
The Mayweather defeat took everything out off Hatton imo. He fought decent against Malignaiggi but i believe he was past his best against a poor Malignaiggi. After the Mayweather fight the signs were there for every1 to see that Hattons punch resistance wasnt what it was.
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
He's gonna comeback at what weight class? :-\
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
I don't think he'll come back. I hope he doesn't come back.
I wouldn't be surprised if he did come back.

His punch resistance was never great. It was just a myth that was exaggerated by the fact Tszyu didn't hurt him. He's been hurt plenty of times in his career, but he's been let of the hook. Pacquiao and Mayweather are too good to let that happen!
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
He has trimmed down and that will be good for his health but cannot see him fight again, even as a final farewell.
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
Does anyone know exactly what happened with Floyd Sr and Ricky? Didn't he fall out with his other trainer? I was never sure.
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
I wouldn't have blamed him for coming back and wanting to leave his career on a better note than getting sparked by Manny, but I think it's been too long and he let himself go too much to be able to do it. Wouldn't surprise me if he did but I hope he stays retired
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
I'd like to see him come back and beat Witter. Leave his career on a high note. The man is clearly bored and doesn't know how to cope with retirement.

Good one. ;D
So was Calzaghe by that logic.
I used to hate the British troll Ricky Hatton years ago, but I've come around to liking him. He was a warrior.
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
Hatton should stay retired for his own good. Imagine him taking another punch like the one from Pacquiao that tripped his main circuit breaker. No one really wants to see that.

haha
I remember VD saying in some thread that he hopes Hatton makes a comeback because he thinks Hatton still has a few more cool knocked out moments.
Re: Will Ricky Hatton make come back??
If he does, I hope its Witter. I think Witter is ripe for the picking. Dont have to worry about getting knocked out, plus he could make it at welter or lmw whatever he could make. Witter would take anything he's desperate for a big money fight. He should also use his old trainer, to go out with a nostalgic win. Graham kind of got used as a scapegoat for Ricky getting his ass whooped by Floyd.

Yeah that was bullshit.
Billy Graham got screwed. Ricky shoulda stayed with Graham and never got involved with Floyd Sr. who is just a gun for hire. Granted Floyd was saying all the right things to Hatton in the corner for the Pac fight, but after he got KO'd, Floyd just walked off and showed no class what so ever.
Graham took Hatton to the top. Well perhaps vice versa. ;D
But he looked like the crypt keeper from Tales from the Crypt and I liked him damn it !!!

The way he fought. He'll still be kayoed sooner rather than later even if his so called punch Resistance is at its utmost prime.
