Austin "No Doubt" Trout - WBA Light Middleweight Champion
Re: Austin "No Doubt" Trout - WBA Light Middleweight Champion
Haven't heard of this guy. I can only assume Cotto is "Super Duper Awesome" Champion then?
Re: Austin "No Doubt" Trout - WBA Light Middleweight Champion
Apparently the news reporting missed adjective and pronoun And I just obliviously copied it.
WBA Site:
Quote:
Mandatory challenger Austin Trout (22-0, 13 KOs) scored a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision over WBA interim super welterweight titleholder Rigoberto Alvarez (26-3, 19 KOs) on Saturday night at the Arena Coliseo in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico to claim the vacant WBA “regular” super welterweight belt. Scores were 119-108 on all cards.

This guy will be a legend , i have a theory , and its all in the name.
Let me explain, his last name is TROUT, and as we know they are a river fish, who are known to be excellent fighters by anglers , but more importantly they are excellent SWIMMERS.
So its seems only right to keep a close eye on this boxer, he may end up a good one.

Is that Rainbow or Brown?
Re: Austin "No Doubt" Trout - WBA Light Middleweight Champion
So what's next for the kid? It's not got to be Cotto for the "super, duper, diamond belt". Cotto and Margarito have a date if Cotto gets past Mayorga.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr?
Vanes Martirosyan?
Kermit Cintron?
How would he fair against these 3?
Re: Austin "No Doubt" Trout - WBA Light Middleweight Champion
Trout is set to fight Delvin Rodriguez on June 2nd in a great match-up!
This is Trout's break out fight, mark my words!!!

I agree with you. It's a great fight for him and his toughest opponent to date. It's a statement if he beats up Delvin Rodriguez. Sergiy Dzinziruk and Austin Trout are the two most underrated junior middleweights.

Aren't all fish excellent swimmers?
It seems you are unfamilier with sarcasm , i was referring to ICE saying he would do well against PACMAN because he was a good swimmer.
Get it now ?
Re: Austin "No Doubt" Trout - WBA Light Middleweight Champion
You really have to work overtime to make that last name work with a nickname. I would have gone with "Steelhead" or scream & shout ;D He and Rodriquez will bring the fireworks!

I'm pretty high on Trout, I agree that Dzindziruk had skills but inactivity has hurt him

I got it the first time Al, I was just being sarcastic along with you. ;D

Yes we all knew you got it really .
Re: Austin "No Doubt" Trout - WBA Light Middleweight Champion
This is a really solid card!
Trout/ Rodriguez
Tarver/ Kayode
Wright/ Quillin
Malinga/ Santa Cruz
All very good fights!
Only weak link might be Wright:-\

Re: Austin "No Doubt" Trout - WBA Light Middleweight Champion
isn't there something like 10 "champs" in alot of divisions.
Forget the trinkets.
Recognize the Ring magazine belt. Anything else is pretty much bullshit.

I agree about the belts, but Trout is very talented! He just recently signed with Haymon also so he should get the opportunities to prove it

Ah. The Ring Magazine. In the past it was fantastic. But as of recently, it's shit. They've got a bunch of idiots in there. Trust me, they're not that great anymore.
But yeah. One belt would be great.

I think The Ring should have kept Collins on, he was really good for the sport imo
I think the guys there are passionate, but need to slow things down a bit at times. They removed both Huck & Maidana from the ratings but both returned to the divisions. The Huck removal caused some to question the legitimacy of the Hernandez/ Cunningham as for the championship. I was alright with it though as Cunningham had already beaten Huck. Plus they returned Maidana to to the ratings.
Fisher gets to involved sometimes in his dislike for Floyd, I don't mind most of it cause its pretty much on the button, but he should just let it go sometimes instead of trying to argue with some of these retard fans, makes him look unprofessional & petty...
But I think the Ring staff are keen to fill championship vacancy's & keep the sport moving forward in a good light. I think the Ring has slipped a little since the change in editors but I think its working on improving going forward

I saw the all time rankings from them a while back, and it physically disgusted me. I vomited all over Southern Calcutta in its entirety.
Bleh.
