Didn't this happened like 2 years ago in '09 where the fight was announced and then it didn't happened? Even if the fight is announed there can be other things where the fight doesn't happen because of "injuries" just like last time.

Sad to say but you hit the nail on the head! The way things have been going even if the fight it announced I still won't be getting too excited as we just can't trust what will happen with this reported 'big' fights.

Everyone (except apparently for you) know who is to blame for the fight not happening 2 years ago, last year, and every other time it could have happened and that's YOUR boy the WBA title holder, the guy is phony. Doesn't anyone else think that July 2nd is too soon after the Chisora fight? I know Wlad has said the time between the two is fine, but it really doesn't leave much time to have a training camp, promote, and generally prepare. It certainly gives the impression that he's dismissing Chisora as a guaranteed easy win - which it should be, but always dangerous to underestimate.
As others said above, I'll believe it when it's actually July the 2nd and the two are in the building together. Hopefully will happen though of course.

I read yesterday that Frank Warren has booked a show on Skysports on May 21st, which is the day they had set aside for Haye's next fight. So that presumably means Haye won't be fighting on that date. The article is over at boxingscene, but I'm on my phone and can't post the link

I don't doubt that he's very responsible for it all falling through this time around (although as I said earlier I think July 2nd is too soon after Wlad's next fight to be realistic), and absolutely Haye sissied out last time for financial reasons...however, the British public are so blind and unaware of the facts that he could sell endless huge pay days for a long time by ducking Wlad and keeping this whole talk up. A loss to Wlad is more damaging if anything for his career.
Who knows though, if he is serious about retiring when he said, then perhaps you're right and it is all about just hyping up this last one fight for the pay, knowing he's been found out by the boxing community and has to finally back it up.
I'm guessing he'll cash in on an easy fight in May and then we'll finally see him fight one of the brothers around September. Won't bank on anything though.
