Best British TV shows?
So I have netflix instant and am looking for stuff to watch and stumbled on the IT crowd and through a few episodes I'm definitely liking it, not to mention I'm developing a small obsession for the main actress (not sure what it is about her but whatever).
Anything else I should be looking for? I watched Fawlty Towers ages ago.

Re: Best British TV shows?
Have you seen The Peep Show?
-
Re: Best British TV shows?
No, all I can think of that I've seen is Fawlty Towers, a season or two of Black Books and a few episodes of the IT crowd.
Just checked and peep show isn't on netflix although I'm sure I could find it somewhere

Ah, find it if you can. Not sure if its your type of humour or not but i'd say its significantly better than the IT crowd. Im sure Ono would agree.

Coupling seasons 1-3....season 4 sucked.

Re: Best British TV shows?
The last couple episodes have gone downhill a bit, I like Moss (the guy with the pseudo afro) but the other guy not so much.

Re: Best British TV shows?
Rent a Ghost
Blackadder
Only fools and horses
Blake 7
Mock the week

Re: Best British TV shows?
You can't go wrong with 'The Young Ones', 'Blackadder' or 'Father Ted' for comedy type things.

Oh fuck off Miles, I love Blackadder, you're not claiming that. You can like something else. Don't make me agree with you....:(

Screw you, Baggins. I like it and own all four series and have seen all the specials. You will just have to agree with me that they are fantastic. We cannot disagree on this.

That is quite brilliant.
I have a soft spot for each of the series after the first, but guess the frustrated intellectual of series 3 is somewhat down my street.

Re: Best British TV shows?
The fourth and last was the best.

Yes, great last scene. For me not quite as sharp with the lines, but still a great series. They would have killed it if they tried another one. It's good that they stopped there.

Re: Best British TV shows?
There have been rumours that they were going to do another in the 60's, that would have been good.

Grrr you are annoying me today. The third series is my favourite, but most like two. I was hoping you'd say two so I could then reveal my true hand and like series 3 so we could again be at emnity.
Cunt.

Inbetweeners is the best comedy we've produced over here in a while but I guess it's aimed at a younger audience...
I've never actually watched Black Adder for some reason, no particular reason why. Growing up Only Fools And Horses was my favourite and probably still is, that and The Young Ones.
Apart from documentary's or nature programs British TV is pretty shit compared to The States. Ross Kemp's current series Extreme World is pretty damn good though as is all of his 'Gangs' series - Ouma should definetely look into those... The Extreme World last week with the heroin problem in Chicago was truly shocking in parts

Re: Best British TV shows?
Not a brit show but they have a boxing documentary of Carlos "Famoso" Hernandez on there that's really interesting. ;)
-
Re: Best British TV shows?
Being a fan of Ricky Gervais, The Office & Extra's are good to catch, Only Fools & Horses has got to be the best british sitcom of all time followed by Fawlty Towers, then Blackadder.
Also got a soft spot's for Steptoe & Son, and Open All Hours !

I love hustle but if u wanna see a reality of how we live in sunny britain watch Shameless :)

Spaced is being shown from the start on More4 and 4OD.
Classic and still brilliant if you have a twisted sense of humour. Early Simon Pegg.
