It doesn't even warrant a question. Groves totally owned him. I've never seen a fighter get so badly mugged off as DeGale was. Brilliant stuff.

The moment where he tried with all his might to make a statement, and then completely forgot what he was going to say. That would have been the spot right there. I thought he was awesome in that interview! Loved the "Johnny, do you want to sit next to James" comment, which was spot on.
Something just makes me feel I'm still not sold on DeGale, I just can't fully decide exactly why.... I just think its his lack of power. Smith is not a good measuring stick IMO as he marks up and cuts really easy, plus he never really beat anyone of that great a note. these points aready mentioned i know. I been having discussion on my fbook and nobody thinks groves can win, the way i see it is as George said last night people are judging him on the Anderson fight this is a bit short sighted but he hasn't had a lot of fights so not much to go on. I wasn't overly impressed with his most recent fight either though he looked a bit sloppy - Degale would take advantage of that savagely!
Going off their recent performances would have to pick degale but i WANT Groves to win as he has shown the class of a champion so far.
Someone mentioned lack of power with degale, i agree. Groves could win the fight on firepower.

Groves won the argument and I hope he wins the fight. Going into it I felt James would win for sure, but knowing how cautious Adam Booth & David Haye are when it comes to making fights as business decisions, I can't believe for a second that they would allow this if they didn't believe in George's ability to win.
DeGale is trying to put on a brash persona to sell the fight but he fails embarrasingly. Hes babbling on about something then stops and says"forgotton what I was on about" so Groves just talks over him;D
Then DeGale offers anyone a bet that he will win inside 4. Groves instantly stands up and offers his hand for a handshake on the bet and DeGale very quickly back tracks;D
DeGale has no conviction in his voice, he goes quiet and high pitched when talking his shit.
They may seem to have diffeerent levels of success in their respective pro careers but when you look closer, Groves is only 23 and has 12 fights, whereas DeGale is 25 and has only 10 fights. Also, id rate Kenny Anderson a more dangerous opponent than Smith. Isnt Smith just a middle really?
I dont realy care who wins but Groves seems the more genuinly confident of a win.
Oh, also, I liked the comment Groves made about DeGale looking like a horse because of his long face and he did an impression taking the piss out of James right in front of him;D

Degale is sounding mre like a moron with each passing week. I actually don't think he is as bad a character as he might seem - I just think he is thick and has no self-awareness (he thinks his stupid voices and slogans sound good).
But Groves normally isn't as reasonable as he was there - He can come across like a prick too.
It's a close fight, I think Degale takes it, probably via points, but Groves has a real live chance.
Groves is obviously a lot more intelligent. Should be an interesting fight, I'd like to see groves win not sure he will though.
I actually see the mind games at 1-1 as in the press conference to announce the fight I feel James and Jim took the right piss out of George and Adam.
When Jim was going on and on and on I was praying that Adam would come back with some shit but he never did and actually feel he let George down by not doing so.
