Bunch of stupid looking tats.
Pavlik seemed to def go a bit overboard with the tattoos. And they look like shit to be honest.
Cotto went overboard with tatts as well, but his look A LOT better than Pavlik's.
Pavlik now looks like white trash.

Looking close at them, the artwork isn't bad. Most get tat's for themselves, not whether we're going to like them or not. What made him look bad was that poor performance against a guy i had never even heard of. He could have come into the ring with a pink stripe down his back for all i care. In the ring performace is what matters most. That lifting of his right hand every time he lands a big right instead of throwing a follow up punch is what he really should be worried about.
Cotto tats actually look really good. Pavlik's .. good artwork but too much. If you get more than 10 tattoos in less than a year , they seem meaningless usually, which ruins the purpose of a tattoo

Pavlik obviously has a Luiz Collazo poster in his bedroom. He's thinking "maybe if I can look more like him, I can also magic up some of his unorthodox style". And then he wakes up in the morning with another hangover and yet another tattoo.

Both Cotto and Pavlik are classic cases of somebody going thru a dramatic period in their lives and the tattoo's represent their attempt to "make themselves over", subconscious. Cotto lost his aura of invincibility when he was KO'd by Margarito and Pavlik went thru rehab. Ever notice that James Hetfield from Metallica is all tatted up now? Some people after ending relationships have gone tat crazy in an effort to remake themselves as well.
