What?!?! No steam coming out of his ears?!?!
The reason the WBA title holder seems "off" is because he knows his time is coming.....ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.
Wlad will toy with this joker, humiliate him....KO #50 just a few weeks away

Re: Funny :Press Conference Haye vs Wladimir Klitschko
I dnt care about being patriotic with this fight,
English here
Haye is making really difficult to support him, how can I root for a guy who actively tells everyone he is going to retire, shows no class at all.
Well this just tipped the scales for me, really hope he gets KO'd
-
Re: Funny :Press Conference Haye vs Wladimir Klitschko
Everyone must see through Haye? He is not a boxer no longer he is a salesman, all he fucking does is talk utter shite, this spectacular artist that excites in every fight? He is saying the same old shite " It's going to be spectacular I am going to ko him blah blah blah, same crap he was spouting v Valuev when he went on the run for 12 rounds, he is going to try and nick a win but for me will get knock the fuck out.

Haye tries to act like he's a man of great accomplishments, so great in fact, that he's now ready to retire. (like it's going to break everyone's heart)
I sincerely hope that Wlad beats this condescending, arrogant, imbecille, senseless.

Wlad shows who the true pro is, I want to know whether this will sell big in the states does the general public care about this fight.
This is going to be hyped to hell over the summer, lets just hope it lives up the the expectations.
Hamburg kickoff, so we should see a decent fight time as well.

It seems to me that the closer it gets to fight night the happier Wlad is and the more surly the WBA title holder gets. And its all because Wlad is ready to fight, he's looking forward to humiliating this guy and the WBA title holder is probably thinking of the safest way out of the fight: run for 12 rounds, gun for a quick KO, or just drop when Wlad lands?
I love how the WBA title holder calls Wlad out for fighting bums....hahahaha really? The only reason Wlad has fought anyone else in the division other than the WBA title holder is because Wlad has tried to stay active and the WBA title holder has avoided him. Its a shame Wlad never fought John Ruiz or Valuev, but those guys avoided Wlad too. Valuev was offered a fight when Chagaev wasn't allowed to have his rematch vs Valuev but the giant turned it down.
The WBA title holder will HAVE to retire after this fight, he's going to slink off into hiding before returning as a reality tv star ;D

Good observation, Haye likes to pretend he's on the same level as Wlad, but he's far from it, it's going to be pure pleasure watching him get his ass kicked on July 2nd. :happy0931sb4:

Re: Funny :Press Conference Haye vs Wladimir Klitschko
there are certain things you have to agree with what haye says
the HW division is boring with the klits as champs
It got a whole lot more interesting since haye came around
a lot more people will be watching this klit defence than probably all his others put together
Considering those things i dont see how boxing fans can be so dead against haye, i for one want the sport to become more main stream, and for that it needs a HW division, and during the klits reign it hasnt had one
and another point, people contributing to this thread seem so sure haye will get KOed, i really dont think anyone can be, haye has a very good chance of winning
and lets say he doesnt win, what happens to the HWs then? another 5 years of boredom?
-

How would it be any different with Haye? There would still be the same mediocre list of potential opponents and Haye isn't so exciting that he can breathe life into a dead division all by himself. At least the Klitschko's have shown a willingness to fight the best opponents available (something Haye, despite his words, has appeared at times unwilling to do) and aren't constantly threatening to retire.
The HW division will be a joke until it gets some real depth and talent, regardless of who the recognized champion(s) is/are.

who hasnt haye been willing to fight?
when haye fights - before the fight i am excited about an all action fast explosive fight with the posibility of a big spectacular KO, Haye is also about the same size as his opponents and there is usually more chance of him losing or at least getting involved
when wlad fights i can only expect to see him jab his way to a late stoppage at best, im not being down on wlad, its just what it is
and it isnt just me who thinks that, it is why noone watches and noone cares about the HWs anymore
yes the whole divisions wouldnt better with haye in charge but lets say haye fought areola, i would expect some fireworks and then either areola or haye to be on their back, to be frank, a much more exciting fight that a klit v areola
the championship fights would be much more exciting, the sport would be bigger, people would be talking about the fights both before and after they happened and looking forward to the next Heavyweight Championship fight

So you're telling me that Barrett, Valeuv, Ruiz, and Harrison were the best opponents available? There are reason's he took all those fights, but that's hardly a Pacquiao-esque resume.
They only exciting fight Haye has had at HW was against Ruiz, and we all knew that was a gimme going in. The Valuev fight was literally one of the worst fights I have ever seen, Barrett was a joke, and the Harrison fight was a joke AND one of the worst fights I have ever seen. That is not an impressive resume, though I would agree that Valuev was a decent opponent on paper, the outcome of the other fights (and even the Valuev fight I would argue) was never in doubt. There were always better fights out there (bar Valuev). I applaud him his role in finally making the fight with Wlad, and I don't have the visceral hatred for him that some people on here do, but it's not like Haye has been taking all comers.
To address some of your other points:
Even with Haye as a belt-holder, people outside of the UK still don't give a flying fuck about the HW division. I would argue that him being a star in Britain has about the same effect on the popularity of the division as Wlad being a star in Germany does. It's great for fans within those countries, but it doesn't seem to mean all that much to everyone else. There's huge hype about this fight because the two best fighters, both of whom appear vulnerable, in the division are fighting a unification bout (something which hasn't happened in what feels like decades), but it's not just because of Haye.
And Arreola wouldn't land a punch on David Haye, they're not even in the same class. And given the way he fought Valuev I would expect him to fight relatively defensively if they ever did meet. He knows his chin is suspect and he would be fool to fight in away that played into his opponents only strength.

sorry mate i dont agree with the bits following the "to address some of your other points"
and to be frank i dont think you agree with yourself
just answer me one question honestly
would you rather watch Haye v any of the top 10 opponents or Wlad Klit v one of them? and give me a number 1 to 10 of how much you would rather watch it

Re: Funny :Press Conference Haye vs Wladimir Klitschko
I don't get how Haye is going to change the heavyweight division up, if he's just going to retire after 2 more fights anyway...lol. I'm bringing back the heavyweight division for 2 fights....possibly just 1....hah!

Re: Funny :Press Conference Haye vs Wladimir Klitschko
its like "good cop, bad cop" and they are doing a great job of selling the fight that is the first bit of footage i have seen and it totally got me looking forward to it.
My view has never changed on this fight and i see it as a one sided beating and i really believe Wlad is looking forward to giving it out.
But saying that im glad hes facing Wlad because he has a punches chance and just imagine if he pulled off the upset....
he would start talking in 4th person ;D;D;D

I would rather watch Haye fight, I am 100% behind Haye and completely want him to win, but............he isn't as exciting (in the ring) as he thinks he is, and I think he will lose and lose badly! Really hope I am wrong, becuase with the exception of Audley Harrisn, I have NEVER wanted a British fighter to lose to a foreign fighter and have had major arguments on here with peiple hat do (coz I just don't get it!!) Being objective is different, I think he will get starched!
-
Re: Funny :Press Conference Haye vs Wladimir Klitschko
I agree - Haye is selling this well and doing his job. Not too happy about the non handshake though, in my book you should always do that (unless he was told not to ;))
And yes he is right that the HW division has become boring so whats he supposed to say. Not the Klits fault though. They have well above average boxing skills and were born fucking massive - and its their best weapon.
As said earlier in thread , can't remember by who now, I did think Haye looked a little off and a bit nervous :-\
Come fight time there's every chance he could be touching cloth and cave in like a fag.
I still have Wlad 70-30 favourite for this one. Late stoppage

Yes and yes, but I think you need to ask other people in the thread, because I have never suggested otherwise. I've just said he isn't as exciting as he thinks he is and I think he will lose. Of course I want hi to win and yeh I think it would improve the division if he did.

His fights at HW have all been gimme's or bores really. Valuev was clearly beaten by a mummified Holyfield prior to Haye. Haye got his belt via an ancient man's leftovers and that fight made Pac/Mosley look like a fight of the year candidate. As for Harrison...well, that was a piss take if ever there was one. Everyone should want to see Haye sparked for that debacle alone.

I dont think there can be any argument against it
some people hate haye and want him to lose, but i dont think they can honestly say to themselves that the HW division wouldnt appeal more to a widespread audience and enhance its reputation if haye was champ

ruiz, bonin and barret were decent fights
the only fights of wlads that can rival those for excitement were saunders, peter 1 and brewster

They were not meaninfgul fights though. Haye has a lack of these at HW, at least Wlad has a solid resume in the division. I agree that Wlad can sometimes be quite boring, but he has fought everyone. Haye certainly hasn't.

hes only been a long term heavyweight for 4 fights
the harrison fight was a farce but the other 3 definately were meaningful
barrett 1st fight at HW, valuev wba title and ruiz mandatory
he hasnt got the same record as wlad no but he has been a hw for years you cant compare the two

I think Wlad is very beatable, it has been proven plenty of times before (even he has improved) and I agree Haye has a punchers chance for sure. I still think he is going to look like a little boy lost in there and get thrown around like a rag doll and badly beaten. I think as soon as he gets hit he's in trouble. Either way it aint going past 6 rounds.

Wlad sounds like a gaylord, Haye sounds like he couldnt give a fook, am I going to pretend that either means eff all? No.
