FNF Senior Light Welter match.
ESPN2
Tonight in Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez, CA veterans Kendall Holt tries to revive his career, against the persistent if not past it Julio Diaz. The undercard features Puerto Rican prospect and former Olympian Jonathan "Butter" Gonzalez who looks to add a 13th KO in 13 fights as a pro. His opponent from the Contender Season 2 had a year off after failing a post fight drug test, he has had one fight since then against no-hoper Pat Coleman and has been out of the ring for 29 months.
Odds are
Kendall Holt = 2/5 = -250
Julio Diaz = 9/4 = +225
Draw = 28/1 = +2800
Jonathan Gonzalez = 1/12 = -1200
Rudy Cisneros = 6/1 = +600
Draw = 32/1 = +3200
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Showtime
Tonight at Buffalo Bill's in Primm, NV featured some guys that are going to be tested, should be a good card. American Heavyweight prospect Seth Mitchell will likely get his chin tested against Evans "The Sandman Quinn". Also the all action lion caged Sharif Bogere steps in against Raymundo Beltran (fighting out of Phoenix, AZ)
Odds are
Seth Mitchell = 1/7 = -700
Evans Quinn = 9/2 = +450
Draw = 35/1 = +3500
Sharif Bogere = 1/5 = -500
Raymundo Beltran = 3/1 = +333
Draw = 33/1 = +3300
Gotta be honest I would probably throw a few bucks on the underdogs for the Showtime card.

Seth Mitchell has had more written on him than almost any heavyweight at his stage of development. I swear Steve Kim from maxboxing has authorted at least 4 articles on him and he hasn't even fought a decent heavyweight at this point. It's like Americans are so desparate for a heavyweight they'll cling onto anything. Not that Mitchell is bad, but I mean...
How is Sharif other than his crazy ring entrances?
I like Bailey and Gonzalez on the espn card.

Sharif is very exciting in the ring, totally wild always looking to end it. Yes America is desperate for a HW the pickings are so slim, but one of these days one of them has to pan out................right?

haha I'm a douche bag, totally read the list wrong, not sure how that happened, maybe I thought, I don't know wtf I was thinking................. ;D
For the future of this legally binding document any reference to Randall Bailey actually in definition means Kendall Holt!

I think Randall Bailey would have a very good shot of KO'n both Holt and Diaz.

Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Nice night of some live action. Great to see! For a minute I thought I read Bailey was fighting Coleman...I almost called the cops ;D
Holt, I dunno man. Hard to gauge where he is. Diaz is very long in the tooth and maybe a bit undersized but ya know, stranger things have happened. I give him a slim shot here but wouldn't shock me if he out works weary Holt for dec or late tko win.

Oops! I didn't know you'd already started a thread about tonight's fights killersheep, or I wouldn't have started another thread, my bad.

That was my next question, do you do the thread all the time.
Good deal, the fights are starting.
Diaz was KO'd by Pacquiao a few few years ago no?

Different Diaz, There was a time when Lightweight had 3 Diaz title holders, Julio, Juan and David. Pac ended David.
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
I'm excited to see how Gonzalez looks here.
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Cisneros doesn't look terribly fit for this. Priming that right rib...

Ahhh, that's right, it was David Diaz.

Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Man Gonzalez is heavy footed, if Cisneros keeps moving I think he could win this, Gonzalez took the opening round though
10-9 Gonzalez, not jumping out of my seat here.
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Gave two to Gonzalez, even though he wasn't that effective, close round I guess
20-18 Gonzalez
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Why are these guys standing so square?
Has Cisneros ever heard of cutting off the ring?
That is one lousy ring.
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Gonzalez loosening up now, still not pumping the pressure, looks like he's trying to go rounds.
30-27 Gonzalez
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Seems like I recall Holt having some legal problems, but I don't remember why.
Holt's fights with Ricardo Torres were wild, Torres has pretty much retired since that last fight with Holt in 2008.
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Yeh he stands as tall as they come. Cisneros is a busy plugger. Nice work from underneath here
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Not bad infighting, gave it to Cisneros, even though Gonzalez landed a few nice shots, they were fighting Cisneros fight for most of the round.
39-37 Gonzalez
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
STEP TO THE SIDE GUYS!
Punch and then step to the side and punch some more. Do NOT stand in one spot!
These guys are working hard, I'll give'm that.
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
is it me or has Gonzales hit the fitness wall? he looks gassed.
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Gonzalez did look a little hurt there in the last 15 seconds, getting all stupid, dropping the hands et. al. Gave him the round, but this is not a foregone conclusion here.
49-46 Gonzalez
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
LOL, I was pretty wrong on the fitness thingy huh?
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
It looks like Gonzalez can let them go, didn't look that impactful though, Cisneros survives, and shows his limitations when given an opening there
59-55 Gonzalez
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Huh. A Jake LaMotta style stoppage! The body!
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
TKO on the towel that got caught on the ropes, well there are some serious flaws in Gonzalez, once he gets older and his fitness wanes he's screwed, I don't think he's gonna go anywhere.
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Good explosion and maintained next round...a learned jab would do him wonders, lil bit of wide loading up.

Mantequilla? Gonzales? Jose Napoles is on the other line and says "That dude has a LONG way to go before he's as smooth as butter."
-
Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Some perspective, each of the guys in this fight threw more punches than Mosley did in 12 in less than 7 full rounds.

Oooof! And Mosely threw over twice as many as David "13" Haye did against Valuev!

My favorite David haye stat is round one vs. A-Force
0 punches landed from either fighter.

Re: FNF Senior Light Welter match.
Wish Manny would be less the diplomat, in and out of the ring. DAMN....he just got compared to Fraziers singing. OUCH. Brutal ;D
