Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
Now even the haters have to say Khan wants to prove he is the best and wants the fight check this out..
@danrafaelespn Dan Rafael
Here's how much @amirkingkhan wants Bradley: Authorized Richard Schaefer to offer him 50-50 on the UK PPV if he will take the fight.
danrafaelespn Dan Rafael
Gary Shaw said he raised guarantee to Bradley to minimum of $1.4 million against an 80-20 split of their side's take. The 80 is for Bradley.
danrafaelespn Dan Rafael
Mad respect for @amirkingkhan for putting his money where his mouth is. He didn't need to give Bradley 1 dime of UK PPV $. He's offering 1/2
danrafaelespn Dan Rafael
Thing is @amirkingkhan could fight Maidana, Guerrero, Judah or Morales. All better ratings, bigger gates & Khan would make more IMO.
danrafaelespn Dan Rafael
Reason I think @amirkingkhan makes more for those other fights is because he signs each guy for less $ than Bradley. But he wants Bradley.
@danrafaelespn Dan Rafael
Whatever you think about @amirkingkhan, one thing is clear: He wants to prove he's the best 140 and he is willing to put his $ on the line.
Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
Regardless, he is still scared of Breidis Prescott....
;D
In all seriousness though, fair play to Khan, but I can see why Bradley doesn't want to fight him yet - especially if he can guarantee $1.2m fighting anyone in his next fight. May aswell wait for Khan but, if he waits too long, Khan will be moving upto 147 and it will be too late.
Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
50/50 of the UK PPV money? Only that much?
And as Missy and Miles would say, "If Khan wasn't a coward, he would offer Bradley 90/10 of the UK PPV money, because Bradley is no. 1 with more titles, therefore Khan is still ducking Bradley.";)
Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
I don't know why Bradley would take the risk, when he can fight anybody for 1.2 then make the Khan fight. Blame HBO don't blame Bradley, it also seems like he wants to get away from Shaw, probably join Arum to get a Pac fight. Khan might have to wait a bit for Bradley. There are plenty of guys to fight at 140 right now. Only a fool would take that fight when he's only getting a marginal increase from the guarenteed HBO money. If it was like 2 mil I could see Bradley going for it.
Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
If he ain't going to get Bradley yet, Khan may aswell just move up now. Bigger fights to be had because, with the exception of Bradley, there is no one left.

Get away, mad respect for Khan if he really does fight Bradley. You can't knock a fighter for looking for true challenges. It is the tried and trusted way of winning over fans. Bradley is the best in the division and Khan wants to fight him. Nowt wrong with that, me lad.
Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
Khan isn't scared of Bradley - style wise I think its an easy night for him. It's the bangers he won't want to mix with.
He's wanting to stay busy so we can't fault hom for that
Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
Khan needs to sack his advisers.
Sure does show his heart though.
Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
Kahn is tryng to make the fight. Good for him!
Now come on Timmy, let's find a way to make this work. Don't sit and wait for Manny in April of 2012.

I agree. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Khan completely shutout Bradley or dominated and then stopped him.

Mate have you been checked for blood loss today? That slash might have been deeper than ypu thought. You're acting strange man, almost corehent and fair :-\
Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
Credit to Khan bu Bradley has a nice contract and will sit out his promoter and then negotiate with Khan, hopefully later in the year.
Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
that's awesome, maybe Manny and Floyd should take notice and follow suit, IMO Khan is still overrated but as for him wanting to fight the best and prove he's #1 at 140 well it all speaks positive about the guy, but on the same not, people should try to play Bradley as a coward, especially given his track record, we all know he's not a big draw aside from real boxing fans, and if he already has a given $1.2 mil already guaranteed for his next fight well you can't really blame the guy for trying to make all that he can get
lets just remember Bradley has fought Witter, Cherry, Holt, Campbell, Peterson, Abregu, and Alexander BACK TO BACK, strong opposition and i doubt he's scared to take on Khan, but back to the topic of the thread my hat goes off to Khan for stepping up and leaving no doubt that he really wants this fight to happen
Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
why is khan avoiding maidana like the plague? i'll tell u why, because he got worked over, battered across the ring, and got a gift decision in the end.
maidana would take him out this time.

Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
It's hard to support Bradley in this, what's in his best interest (taking the easy 1.2M payday) is exactly opposite of what I want to see (vs. Khan). Kudos to Khan for trying to get this made, but it's not going to happen until after Bradley gets an easy paycheck.
Re: Hats off to Amir Khan he really wants the Bradley fight
yes i am for real. did u people not watch khan/maidana?

Do you realise fights are scored on a round to round basis? It was basically a shut out for the first 6/7 rounds, Maidana came on strong but Khan comfortably got the decision. It would ob been a robbery the other way round.

It was a shut-out for the first half of the fight and Maidana got dropped. Short of knocking Khan down multiple times, Maidana could not have gotten a decision.
