Is Teddy Atlas a little slow?
I like Teddy but is he slow, punch drunk maybe? Sometimes on fnf he just looks dazed like he just got hit with a hard left hook.

Teddy Atlas a little slow? you've gotta be shittin', the dude is as sharp as a tack. Did you know Teddy is a hell of a banjo player?
Here's a pic of Teddy when he was growing up in West Virginia:

When Atlas says someone won't amount to anything, it will translate to success. It was kind of like in Japan in K-1 if this one guy slapped you it meant you'd be successful.
Well over here if Teddy Atlas picks against you, you're gonna have success.
So it's the same, without the slap

;D He also thinks that Povetkin will beat Haye
He is the only reason I would not buy Fight Night Champion

But its hilarious, they've probably embedded it within the game that when he says about you "This fighter has no chance at this point" that you can land the one punch knockout. If they want the game 100% realistic it has to be in
Re: Is Teddy Atlas a little slow?
Atlas is alright by me and people say I whine.
He knows his boxing and he makes interesting analogies, what more do you want? You can't have everything and predictions are his weakness, no big deal.
Re: Is Teddy Atlas a little slow?
thats just his thinking face bro

Knowledge is subjective, he may know more about "boxing" than most of us but he sure in hell ain't any wiser.
Re: Is Teddy Atlas a little slow?
Atlast a little slow? Hell no, he is fullblown retarded!

I like Teddy “his weakness is his prediction” Atlas. He is opinionated and can be pompous but he is entertaining more than our Steve Bunce.
Re: Is Teddy Atlas a little slow?
Atlas reminds me of a dockworker when I was a kid that as James Brown put it<"Talking Loud And Saying Nothing!" My friend Huey used to say<"I'm seldom ever right but I am never wrong!"

I use the 'rough neighbourhood' one at work all the time! ;D
He could compile a book of them, he's extremely good with the analogies and seems to have an endless supply of them. Quite incredible. I'm sure he sits up at night and thinks a lot of them up.
Atlas is one of boxings poets. Sure, he can look a bit dead eyed sometimes, but there is something tick tocking away in there somewhere.
I like him and Merchant a lot.

Considering he only has 9 amateur bouts and never fought professionally, I very much doubt he is punch drunk.

Teddy helps make FNF entertaining, but usually for all the wrong reasons, I don't per-say dislike the dude, but at the same time I don't take anything he says seriously. How he was able to worm his way into becoming a "respected" trainer is a mystery to me, as for his "expert" analogies and/or analysis, most of the time they're pure crap.
