Re: There is no height Issue
And if 13 was fighting the Wlad of 5-7 years ago? I might agree.
But I'm pretty sure he isn't :)
Re: There is no height Issue
In fact Samuel Peters (The 1st Fight) was the only fighter in years who had a desire to win and nearly pulled it off but unfortunatley for Peters he is so dog slow and Wlad took advantage of this weakness to keep away for the majority of the rounds.....but I do believe he wont be able to do this against Haye who will chase Wlad down and punish him and keep punishing Wlad until Wlad will go into mental melt down and get stopped.
Job Biscuit (I mean who really had the desire to fight Wlad)!!!
eh eh!!
Re: There is no height Issue
Cliff Clouser got Monte Barrett out of there THREE rounds before David Haye did.
Michael Sprott only took a minute longer to knock out A-Force.
David Tua KO'd John Ruiz in a single round. It took Haye nine rounds to do it - and Ruiz got up from one of his 'Hayemakers' square on the chin.
Haye's power is overrated. I'm pretty sure that if himself and I tested our punch power on one of those machines you get in a pub, he would only get about 20 points more than me. True story.

State of the art technology.
Re: There is no height Issue
Speed is power and the speed of Haye will be a major factor....also Wlad has a very bad habit in clinching and if the ref is any good he will give Wlad a warning and make him stop. Haye needs to keep swarming in and get close and go hell for leather and beat Wlad to the punch. Hopefully within 5 rounds Haye will be victories
Job Biscuit (Haye is going to be to quick)!!!

The worst part is being in a bar with one of these in them, you run upto it thinking you're all macho in front of the ladies, and punch it like Paulie Malignaggi. The thing hardly moves. It's as if it's laughing at you. "It's fucking broken this thing, stupid machine...". It's happened, trust me. ;D
Re: There is no height Issue
Haye better have a better plan then banking on his power and leaping in on Wlads chin in hopes of getting it home early. That jab isn't just going to turn to fairy dust when he clicks his heels. Style wise and temperment wise I can def see some points being docked before its all said and done.
Re: There is no height Issue
Lets be honest here Samuel Peter, Lamon Brewster, Corrie Sanders and Ross Puritty were at their very best average fighters but all seemed to do well against the mighty Wladimir Klitshko...lol
Haye is in a totally different league than the aforementioned and I cannot see any big problems for Haye...unless Wlad lands a lucky punch I can see Haye doing a fine job and getting Doctor Steele to retire the ring for good
Job Biscuit (Bring on the older brother...that will be another great night for ENGLAND)!!!
eh eh!!!
Re: There is no height Issue
Wlad jabs him to death. Game over.
Re: There is no height Issue
It actually annoys me when people say Haye's power is overrated, I mean he doesn't always knock his opponents out but he has a habit of hitting guys and making them drop, fall over, take a knee etc. Fighters simply crumble under his power. He has VERY heavy hands.
Oh and Tony Thompson has gone on record as saying that Haye hits harder than Klitschko ;)

Re: There is no height Issue
Wlad has a 3 inch height and reach advantage.
That's FUCK ALL!

Are we playing with pokemon cards or talking about boxing? there's way too many variables to take into account to simplify it down to basic numbers like that.
Ali was taken down the stretch by frazer... floored and beaten... Foreman CRUSHED Smokin' Joe... yet Ali stopped Foreman? ???
What one fighter does doesn't always correlate with what another can't.
Haye might not win, but you're using a pretty shitty barometer to measure power.
Re: There is no height Issue
I like the way papers say Haye is 6ft 3 inches as I am sure he must be 6ft 1 at most. Height will certainly be a huge factor in this fight.

Disagree Jim, they said tyson was 5ft 11 half but he never was, Haye does not look 6 "3
Re: There is no height Issue
Have a photo of tyson standing next to my twin (who is 6 2" maybe 3").
Tyson is a shade shorter and was likely taller when younger.

It is a well know fact that Tyson was 5ft 10, Rocky 5 ft 9, they always add inches, ask any man he would do the same. :)
Re: There is no height Issue
Its all down to the fact , can Haye get in punching range with power punches without being hit , if he can then he can win , if Wlad hits him hard on the way in , Haye will be KOED.
I just dont see the fight going more than 3.
