Did Any Brits attack any Eastern Europeans in the UK because of Wlad's win?
Serious question. I'm thinking it's a strong possibility they would attacked some Eastern Europeans after a few beers and being angry that Wlad beat Haye. And from what I heard they are not liked in the UK and are one of the scapegoats of the country. I heard that they are the 2nd most hated group after South Asians.
So I'm thinking alcohol+sports+rabid nationalism+ one of their own defeated by an Eastern European=dangerous situation for innocent people.
And let's be honest there are crazy people out there that do this kind of stuff.

Re: Did Any Brits attack any Eastern Europeans in the UK because of Wlad's win?
Not if they were as big as Wlad.

I was going to but i had a poorly toe :-\

Re: Did Any Brits attack any Eastern Europeans in the UK because of Wlad's win?
There really isn't much rabid nationalism regarding David Haye. Most people I know think he's a cock.
People get worked up about football, but not boxing. It's a marginal sport over here sadly.

Re: Did Any Brits attack any Eastern Europeans in the UK because of Wlad's win?
There were bad vibes in Newcastle afterwords but there always is after a big fight... I don't think that Haye losing was anything to do with it though...
Every time a big fight is being watched in town you will get the typical egoistically challenged geordie shore rejects who need to reassure their ego by going and picking a fight.
Loads of extra police vans out in town likely in anticipation of it at certain spots where you know dick heads will flock to on a saturday night.

Re: Did Any Brits attack any Eastern Europeans in the UK because of Wlad's win?
People taking to the streets over Haye's loss. Hilarious. ;D
-
Re: Did Any Brits attack any Eastern Europeans in the UK because of Wlad's win?
If there was any anger among the English it would have been over the fact that Haye didn't get knocked out... most people either seemed relatively partisan or really wanted haye's mouth to need to be wired shut.

Speak for yourself! I'd say pretty much everyone i know was tuning into this fight and supporting Haye. This fight really got people excited, ashame the fight didn't live up to the hype.

Yeah, I went out & stabbed a Polish builder while my mate shot some Lithuanian bloke at Elephant & Castle tube station. Just you know because some boxer lost to another guy

I was a Butlins and about 2000 people plus of all types piled in to watch it in their sports bar.
All cheered Haye and booed Wlad.
After the fight I did not see any redcoats smashing in the guys from Khazactstan.

Re: Did Any Brits attack any Eastern Europeans in the UK because of Wlad's win?
I took to the streets and stabbed a French bloke. No one likes the French so no real harm done.

Re: Did Any Brits attack any Eastern Europeans in the UK because of Wlad's win?
I've just been out with the baseball bat, purely inspired by generalbulldog, knocked out a few european looking girls and a few coloured types that couldn't have been true Brits.
I might need counseling to get over this Haye loss......

Well you guys were rowdy and had a few fights in Vegas after the Mayweather-Hatton boxing match, I was in Vegas for the match and witness a few fights breaking out here and there. Not to mentioned the Pacquiao-Hatton fight had some of you guys getting into it with the Filipinos, although I wasn't there but a friend went and said it happened.
Then there is the image of British fans engaging in sports violence like football hooliganism. Hey it's not like I'm making things up about the British and sports violence.;)
SO just asking if some of you took it to heart, had a few beers, got angry that an Eastern European (in this case Wlad) took something that belong (the HW championship) to a native Briton (Haye) and hey shit happens as they say.

Really, that's odd I remember watching the Mayweather-Hatton fight in Lewisham with around a dozen other people all of us supporting Floyd. But apparently as some kind of Brit collective, I was kicking off fights in Vegas.
I actually had a thread about my experiences at Pacquiao/Hatton & how disgusted with the British fans I was. Brits travelling abroad generally completely embarass themselves & their country.
However, that's not what this is really about. You've been going on about how there will be excuses from all the Brits post-fight. When those haven't materialised (except for bell-ends like eric & otley), you've decided to ask pointless questions about if any Brits went & assaulted people on the basis of their ethnicity because of a boxing match. Canadians also have a habit of rioting when their teams lose, but I don't recall a thread asking if any of the Canadians went & beat up Mexicans when Lemieux lost to Rubio? Or if British or American tourists were being attacked on the occasions when Maidana & Matthysse lost to Khan, Judah & Alexander respectively? (The Argies love a good riot far more than us). Why not just admit that the British posters on THIS board are not as prone to excuses as you made out. Hatton fans might be, but they don't represent all British boxing fans.
Oh & the HW championship NEVER belonged to Haye. He had a belt. Wlad had & has the championship ;)

Actually Canadians don't have a habit of rioting. They hardly have any riots and on the rare occasion they do, mainly it's limited to destroying public property. And Americans rioting? It sometimes happens with sports championships but it's mainly destruction of public property just like the Canadians than people getting beat up or something like that.
My question was legitimate if British fans got into fights after one of their own lost in vegas to Mayweather and Pacquiao, then it's not too far fetched to think they would get into fights after one of their own lost to Wlad.
Speaking of which did they get into fights with the Germans after the loss? But you know what? In the end it's just sports, nothing really serious, unless you're British. ;)

Re: Did Any Brits attack any Eastern Europeans in the UK because of Wlad's win?
This thread is hilarous. I found something that works when you encounter drunken Brits at sporting events, just get drunk with 'um, they won't be able to tell you're not one of them. :drinker:

When was the last time you heard of Brits actually rioting after losing at a sports event? Not something you saw in a movie, actually saw a news article about it. It doesn't happen very often at all. Canadians was about what 3 weeks ago? But, apparently they hardly ever riot
I didn't even mention Americans rioting, I mentioned Argentinians & your lack of interest in whether they were assaulting tourist when their fighters lost, and believe me they take sport a lot more seriously there. See the recent reaction to River Plate's relegation.
Brits get into fights if they're drunk & as I said, I was at Hatton/Pac & both sets of fans had aggressive & racist elements among them. You are again ascribing the actions of Hatton's fans to British fans on here. Also for very obvious reasons, rabid British nationalists would not feel as irked by Haye's loss to Wlad as they would by Hatton's defeats to Mayweather & Pacquiao.
Your question was not legitmate anyway. You didn't ask if there were fights afterwards in Hamburg. You asked if British people went & beat up people based on their ethnicity on the street. Whichever way you choose to spin it, that's one step from being a trolling thread.

Ah, but Jaz, didn't you see the thread that proved beyond doubt that Haye is in fact more white than Klitscho? If you haven't seen it you should. Brilliant stuff -truly inspiring. If Haye won he was going to be the closest thing to a white heavyweight champ since Inge Johansson apparently. I shit you not.

Hatton fans, especially the ones in Vegas were primarily of Brits travelling overseas to support him were they not? And I didn't ascribed Hatton fans to the ones on here. I just asked if there have been any attacks on them.
All I just know is this. Mayweather-Hatton fight, Brits got into fights with other people after the match. Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, Brits got into it with the Filipinos. And from what my friend described it was the Brits initiating the attack. Say what you want about the overzealous Filipino Pac fans on message boards, but in real life they at least don't attack people, nor yell racial slurs and then attack them. I also went to the EM-Pac 3 fight, with lots of Mexicans/latinos and Filipinos there, no problem at all between the 2 groups, more of an internet thing if there is conflict.
And the other thread about Wlad/Haye/HW champs, I was clearly taking the piss. I at least don't attack people over it on the streets that is nothing more than a sporting related event. You guys do. And I think that is scary as hell because in reality it' not that important.
About Americans rioting, I misread on that. Even if the Argentineans were violent rioters, does that excuse the Britons from attacking people after those boxing events? I think what I asked in this thread is a legit question, considering people were saying that it's just entertainment and shouldn't be taken seriously. And I agree. However, from what I witness in '07 and my friend attending the '09 fight, it wasn't for a group of people.

Well, it's kind of hard to take anything you say seriously seeing how you apparently believe Haye is more white than Wlad ;D
Yes, Hatton fans are primarily Brits, but they are not in the main, boxing fans. They are also boozed up twats who love to go on holiday & cause trouble. You get Poles, Argentinians & Italians who all do the same, yet they don't get threads asking if they've been attacking people.
I assume you meant Hatton-Pacquiao, not Mayweather-Pacquiao, & I can say that at the weigh-in, the aggression & racism was largely coming from the Brits. Most of it was aimed at Bernard Hopkins & Amir Khan, although I won't forget the stupid bastard how shouted that 'Ricky's gonna knock ya out ya chinky coont'. Famous last words. At the actual fight, most of the racism came from Pacquiao fans. Humberto Soto, who fought on the undercard, was called 'a dirty wetback' and a 'Mexican piece of shit', while numerous idiots were going on about Pacquiao 'fucking that whiteboy up, coz that's how we do'. So they were both at it.
Anyway it's one thing asking if pissed up fans at an event got into some scuffles. It's quite another asserting that boxing fans and general members of the public went out and committed hate crimes because of a fight. Do you need this said clearly? No, they didn't it's a absolutely ridiculous stupid idea. Not quite as stupid as Wlad being blacker than Haye though ;)

Re: Did Any Brits attack any Eastern Europeans in the UK because of Wlad's win?
What a dull thread this has become. Its like one of mine and Miles many debates back in the day, only they were about interesting and relevant things like creationism.

Oh just because no one has posted any pictures of any underage jailbait... ;D
That's a thought Bilbo, did you take to your computer & watch some kind of east european tranny porn in revenge for Haye's defeat, even though you wanted Wlad to win. Or did you just attack an immigrant like the rest of the country?

Nah I wanted Haye to lose from the start, was disappointed he was still standing at the end although at least his nostrils weren't fanning out victorious air.
I had my brother here watching it with me so had to restrain myself from the porn until he left. Then I went through my donkeypunch collection as I do every fightnight.

I'm disappointed not too many people took the bait in this thread.
And no I don't think Wlad is blacker than Haye, I just implied in the other thread Haye was whiter than Wlad.;D

After the Hatton vs Pac fight it was mostly Brits fighting Brits. With a few fighting Americans, but that was to be expected after the Brits booed the US national anthem so bad you couldn't hear it!
Brits abroad are generally chaos, but actually much better behaved now in football than ever before.

How silly do you think us Brits are, so we threw can at Hagler when he beat Minter, and booed everyone else’s national anthem, does not mean we would beat up a German. Especially after the heart arsed performance Haye put up.
