Haye gets the last laugh
After everything is said and done, Haye will make, what, £15 million or $40 million American off this farce of a fight? Say what you want about Haye, but that was pretty damn good con job if you ask me, and all he had to do, was land 6 punches a round.
It's hard to imagine Haye getting a rematch with Wlad anytime soon, but my guess is the same gulliable nitwits who were suckered in, and wasted PPV money on Haye's shit sandwich last time, will be back licking his nuts and pissing their money away on him again next year.
Life is good for David Haye, he's rich and famous, and the love from his fans is unconditional and/or eternal. :lickish:

Yep - Like I said before - Haye is the Enron of boxing duping many fans out of their hard earned money. I feel especially sorry for all those suckers that traveled from Briton or anywhere else to Germany to support Haye. They must feel totally ripped off.

I don't know, you can't be too fucking smart to spend a small fortune, and travel all the way from Britain to watch a douche like David Haye. They probably cried in their beer and got their panties in a twist when Haye didn't get the decision, but felt the money they spent was well worth just being able to be near their man = David. :gay5:

When you are fighting, you're fighting for one thing....money. Jack Dempsey
How was anyone that enjoyed the night a "gulliable nitwit?" That doesn't make sense. Wlad is universally recognised as a "boring" fighter. Has this somehow changed after his performance Saturday?
The only people fooled were guys expecting a Rocky fight. Simple as.

The key word in that Dempsey quote is FIGHTING. If you're running, you're scared and trying to survive, you don't want to be in or near the ring and that's how Haye acted.
The (now 2) major fight(s) in which Wlad is considered boring happen to be against boxers that simply didn't want to fight him Ibragimov and now Haye. Haye mouthed off for over 2 years about how he was brash and exciting and don't you dare try and deny it or try and reason it out as purely a means of advertising, that's a bullshit excuse for a bullshit fighter. Haye ran away, Wlad didn't clinch, Wlad didn't run, Wlad was measured in his attack but Haye wanted Wlad to stand in front of him and Wlad obliged and the only excuse we get for the lack of effort from Haye was "I've got a broken toe"....childish and pathetic. Sell it somewhere else!
-
Maybe made money but list his belt and is soul destroyed til he the day he dies!!! He will never win a world title from wlad, he can go for the over the hill vitali purely becos he's old but that's it!!
I think vitali should vacate and haye vs wlad for the wbc

What happened to the more "agressive" Wlad? You promised he would make the fight exciting by punishing Haye for his antics. Did we get that? NO.
Wlad threw a dozen more power punches than Haye. He was the same old safety first bore he always is.
This fight turned out like all Wlad's others - people moaning about it being BORING. Just lucky for him Haye is taking the blame because he didn't match his trash-talk. Simple as.

Sure it's about money, but what Jack might have added is, don't promise your fans the moon, put on a shitty performance and just take their money either.
Yes, Fenster, some of Wlad's fights are boring, that's a given, however, you expect to get what you get from Wlad, but I can't help but like the big Ukranian a bit.
Come on bro, lot's a people were fooled by Haye, he had half of UK's boxing fans duped into believing he was the next coming of Lennox Lewis. And don't try telling me that most of his fans in the UK didn't think they were going to see something like Wlad vs Sanders. FACT!
Anyway Fenster, try not to get so emotional, and look at things from a more a more objective point of view. ;D

I just watched the full post fight press conference....God Haye is just a total twat. "I don't think the ref was good, I don't think the judges had it right, I had a broken toe", excuse after excuse.

I was actually entertained by Wlad's performance, sure, I would have loved to have seen Haye flattened, and Wlad throwing more power shots, but after all his shit talk, it was still a pleasure seeing Haye getting totally exposed, dominated and clowned.
Just curious Fenster, why do you keep berating Wlad's performance and not Haye's? The only thing Wlad didn't do was knock this fucking douche out.

Are you trying to challenge Generalbulldog for Saddo's P4P most clueless world-view poster?
I've never seen a single person EVER say Haye was the next Lennox Lewis. More than half the UK posters on this site thought Haye was going to lose.
For a 60+ year-old guy surely Haye isn't the first fighter you've irrationally hated? I'm surprised you've lasted this long showing such venom for one man? Amazing.

Re: Haye gets the last laugh
Actually Wlad got the last laugh. Why? He's an Ukrainian born in Kazakhstan that has been living in Beverly Hills, California for years (since 2004) and made the same amount of money as Haye from the British and German people without really having any connection to both groups.
Now that's what you call hustling son.

Nobody....NOBODY thought Haye would "fight" (if you can even call it that) the way he did. Some people expected a Valuev type fight, some expected a Harrison type fight....but you didn't even get those. Wlad pressed the action. Wlad picks his punches and that's why he landed more and at a higher percentage.
You're looking for an excuse out of me for why Wlad didn't come out guns a blazing...well hell I don't know Wlad had said all along he wanted a 12th round KO, so shit I don't know. I was a little impressed that Haye took the punches Wlad threw as well as he did and I fully admit I didn't think he could. But why wasn't Haye as he advertised himself? Was it just the broken toe or did he have a hang nail too?
Allow me to ask this, when is the next time that you think David Haye will be on HBO? I'm pretty sure Wlad will be back on soon.

Plenty of people predicted Haye would fight cautious.
Why would Haye care about HBO? He's made more money in ONE fight, Wlad too for that matter, than most fighters that have ever lived. That's why he can retire at 30.
I have NO problem with the fight Wlad fought. He did what he always does. He didn't do what YOU hoped. He was in yet another lacklustre fight. You can blame Haye if you want. It wont change the fact Wlad was in yet another snoozer (well not for me i quite enjoyed it).

I doubt that!
I have watched most of Hayes fights and thats only because I try to watch as much boxing as I can if its available, not because I think hes interesting.;D
Those fans at the weigh in? Iv never sen them around before, all the chanting shit. They were just idiots who were gullible enough to believe Hayes bullshit that they were going to be behind an exciting British heavy on the verge of unifying the titles. I sawan interview with a few fans leaving the stadium and some were very pissed off with Hayes lack of effort. Now from someone who is that much of a "fan" to spend to get over there, they turned coat rather quick!
Also, some some other twat had Haye winning!
-
Haye would've "gotten the last laugh" if he had actually done what he said he was going to do... win the heavyweight title.

This is something easily explained. The lack of any knockdowns is that both were
Etrified of getting in range. Neither has the best faith in their ability to defend, avoid or take a shot. With Haye it was blatantly obvious with those few looping overhand shots he tried that were miles away, he didnt want to get in range. As for Wlad, I was screaming at the screen for him to throw the fucking right hand!
The shots that did land had no real conviction in them, none were thrown with the full body and effort behind them and in range. Haye did alot of pointless upper body movement while out of range but still got caught with shots. He has no idea of how to get in range and not get hit like a Mike Tyson for instance.

Clueless about what? Are you going to deny that half of Britain's boxing fans thought this clown was the greatest British HW since LL?
Like i've told you before Fenster, I can't stand anything about Haye, but he ain't worth the effort it would take to hate him. You seem to not be able to differentiate, between simple criticism and hate, and you become defensive, "irrational", and overly emotional, when you believe your boy Haye is being attacked.
Even though you might not think so, Haye is deserving of ANY criticism he's getting, "hate" and has little to do with it, it's all fun and games.

I haven't defended Haye over a thing. Merely countering some uncalled-for nonsense.

Not if they thought he was anywhere close to being as good of a HW as Lewis. I mean WTF am I saying wrong here, I'm not saying all fans in the UK worshipped and overrated Haye to the hilt, but plenty did. You live there Memphis so you oughta know better then me, look at how many delusional Haye fans showed up in Hamburg expecting to see Wlad get knocked out.

I'd like to think that most people would be hoping rather than expecting. Anyone expecting got it wrong, simple, its no biggie, they just wouldnt be welcome on a boxing forum full of experts who get it right all the time is all.

Oh really? Like none of what you've posted in the endless post fight threads has been about defending Haye? :LOLATYOU:
Like I said, Haye deserves everything that's coming his way, he brought it on himself, as for negative posts and threads about him. I haven't gone overboard posting threads about him, i'm just countering some uncalled-for bullshit by Haye and his fans and, telling it the way I see it..

Re: Haye gets the last laugh
But the real question is: if that's Haye's last big time fight, is it enough to get him to his real goal - becoming the first black James Bond? :D

You'd have to show me what i've been defending?
Barring the accusation that he's a coward, which is pathetic, I haven't defended anything else.
This thread you've started was about Haye making tons of money. I agreed with you.
Have I ever denied he lost? No.
Did I defend the toe excuse? No.
I don't believe his performance was as horrible as most. I don't think I was conned. I enjoyed the whole event.
Not sure what you're getting at? I guess you can't prove half of British fans thought he was the next Lennox Lewis then?

Totally agree!
Money is also the reason why the rematch will happen.

We're more apt to see Haye vs the Chisora-Fury winner due to money, I mean you Brits LOOOOVE some David Haye, why not welcome him back with a huge match like that....or do those guys play too rough?
Wlad-Povetkin is likely next and I figure now that Wlad has the WBA belt a Valuev fight may be attainable.

Well considering Haye fought like that against Valuev, it's not exactly inconceivable. And don't you dare try and mention hindsight because i've already been there. Already mentioned that Haye likes to go missing, take his time and pick his shots. And as for Wladimir picking his shots, the only punch he landed more or at a better connection rate (or both) was his jab!
Lyle answer me this, when exactly did Ibragimov throw anything that resembled a hurtfull punch? This fight was nothing like the Ibragimov fight. Boring maybe but imo no more boring than the Mayweather Dela Hoya fight.
Now answer me this, when was the last time you saw a wildly exciting superfight?

Wlad-Povetkin is likely next and I figure now that Wlad has the WBA belt a Valuev fight may be attainable.
No it'd be crap because david would beat either of them very very easily.
i don't class that as a huge match. Besides I heard Wlad wants the winner anyway.

all fans in the UK worshipped and overrated Haye to the hilt, but plenty did. You live there Memphis so you oughta know better then me, look at how many delusional Haye fans showed up in Hamburg expecting to see Wlad get knocked out.
Dude. It was a HEAVYWEIGHT SUPERFIGHT. Even if David Haye was Eritrean, you can bet your last dollar that there would of been 10,000 Eritreans in Hamburg that night.

How was anyone that enjoyed the night a "gulliable nitwit?" That doesn't make sense. Wlad is universally recognised as a "boring" fighter. Has this somehow changed after his performance Saturday?
The only people fooled were guys expecting a Rocky fight. Simple as.
Sure it's about money, but what Jack might have added is, don't promise your fans the moon, put on a shitty performance and just take their money either.
Yes, Fenster, some of Wlad's fights are boring, that's a given, however, you expect to get what you get from Wlad,
but I can't help but like the big Ukranian a bit.
Come on bro, lot's a people were fooled by Haye, he had half of UK's boxing fans duped into believing he was the next coming of Lennox Lewis. And don't try telling me that most of his fans in the UK didn't think they were going to see something like Wlad vs Sanders. FACT!
Anyway Fenster, try not to get so emotional, and look at things from a more a more objective point of view. ;D
cheers

If you care so little for Haye why keep making threads and posts about him? None of which are positive.
I haven't defended Haye over a thing. Merely countering some uncalled-for nonsense
I was entertained by by the fight, but that was only because Wlad dominated. As for Haye's performance, fer christ sakes man, he landed 6 punches a round, less than half of the 13 he averaged in the Valuev stinker, and fell down about 12 times, how was it not Horrible? Especially in view of the fact that he'd been talking continuous shit about how he was going to decapitate Wlad for months prior to the fight, then fought like a douche.
As for my LL comment that was figurative more then anything, it just seemed like 1/2 of British boxing fans had this chump overrated to the hilt, and were betting on him, and predicting that he'd KO Wlad within a couple rounds. What did the pre-fight polls for this fight look like in the UK?
-
Jimbo, the British fans are amazing and they support their fighters like no other....but some of those fans are just uneducated or just have this mental block about their fighters being the best. All fans are capable of it, the US has their fair share of flops, but not as many that are as big of a flop as Haye, like I said in heavyweights the closest we can recently come is Kevin Johnson.
Haye refused to fight, he didn't even try to go for the KO...it was appalling.
That being said, Nicolay Valuev is starting to get a bit mouthy now too...I hope he fights Wlad, that's another fraud that needs to be taught a lesson.

Nope, I don't buy that, only 10,000 Brits, would have shown up in Hamburg.

Are you trying to challenge Generalbulldog for Saddo's P4P most clueless world-view poster?
I've never seen a single person EVER say Haye was the next Lennox Lewis. More than half the UK posters on this site thought Haye was going to lose.
For a 60+ year-old guy surely

Like i've told you before Fenster, I can't stand anything about Haye, but he ain't worth the effort it would take to hate him. You seem to not be able to differentiate, between simple criticism and hate, and you become defensive, "irrational", and overly emotional, when you believe your boy Haye is being attacked.
Even though you might not think so, Haye is deserving of ANY criticism he's getting, "hate" and has little to do with it, it's all fun and games.
Where did you get your 'half of England thought Haye was the second coming of Lewis?' I've never seen that posted on this forum nor have i ever heard anyone say it. Your from the US? What the hell do you know about British boxing fans? You've been wrongly informed. You seem to get very emotional not only at Haye but at his fans its like you can't stand anything to do with David Haye. Tha would be called hate.

He gets the last laugh because he walks away with $40 million for basically just running his mouth and showing up.

I agree haye was dissapointing but haye has always been value 4money before, he normally backs up his mouth, at least he stood 4 12 rounds with wlad and didnt end up getting jabbed to a tko like most of wlads victims,

:lickish:
:happy0931sb4:
Yep - Like I said before - Haye is the Enron of boxing duping many fans out of their hard earned money. I feel especially sorry for all those suckers that traveled from Briton or anywhere else to Germany to support Haye. They must feel totally ripped off.
