OK, this is the round by round thread for the Showtime card.

I'll be switching back and forth from (HBO) Williams to (Showtime) Rios, so i'll be posting on both threads, good idea BTW, Ouma. :)
At Carson, Calif. (Showtime): Brandon Rios vs. Urbano Antillon, 12 rounds, for Rios' WBA "regular" lightweight title; Kermit Cintron vs. Carlos Molina, 10 rounds, junior middleweights; Mercito Gesta vs. Jorge Pimental, 10 rounds.
The Showtime card starts at 10:00 PM EST, or about 50 minutes from now.
Kermit Cintron vs. Carlos Molina up first on Showtime, oh fuck, Gus Johnson.. :-X
First up Cintron. something weird might happen during the fight. Of course Cintron already went weird and weighed in almost 3 pounds below the contract weight of 152 (why can't he and his team figure out how to get down to 152 correctly after figthing at 154??).
Nick Charles mad respect, only time I've ever agreed with Johnson. Alright, any bets on what round Cintron goes Jimmy fly Snooka in this one ?

Cintron didn't do much of anything that round. 3-0 Molina. The easiest round to score IMO.
3-0 Molina, it looks like Cintron is just expecting the knockout to come to him.
Cintron did land some bombs in the 4th round of that fight. Someone was going to get KO'd. At the time I was thinking the odds were in Cintron's favor before he did his swan dive.Quote:

I have it 3-1 Molina after 4 rounds. Cintron has to start winning rounds now.
4-0 Molina. The second could have gone to Kermit, maybe the first. But the last two have been clear Molina rounds.
I dont know man, I think his power is a lil overrated and thats his problem, relied way to much on it and gives up boxing game other then vs Angulo, solid win. Before that his biggest win is...Estrada maybe ??? He landed large on Williams but I thought Paul was coming on, then Cintron disappeared until he popped up on Williams main event ;D Hope he gets it together though, does have great rangeQuote:

One-handed fighters who are in love with their own power and throw only one punch at a time tend to get upset...
Cintron looked hurt there.
Cintron isn't looking too good, and now he's got a bloody nose.

I don't know if stopping Alan Conyers means you have some power but he got Cintron's attention there. Easy Molina round and Kermit looked rattled a bit. 5-0.
4-1 Molina after 5 on my card and he is beating Cintron's ass. Cintron needs to land some big shots to hurt Molina or he is going to lose this fight.

He needs to now sell out for power, big time!!

You can just see Cintron's confidence vanish as soon as he starts to face some adversity.
That being said, I thought he buzzed Molina a little bit there.
Cintron turned the tide a bit there in the last part of that round but I still gave it to Molina. Cintron could have two rounds though.
Does Brandon Rios have some kind of learning disability? He sounds like he should be wearing a bike helmet.

Cintron seems clueless, he seems really affected by ring rust and just isn't sharp.
Molina took the round off and still won it. :-\
I have yet to see Rios. As far as I know. Strange, but I seem to miss all of his fights and I'm leaning towards the Williams-Lara fight tonight.
6-1 Molina. Cintron has very little time left to win this fight.
Cintron having breathing probs big time it looks like, left eye puffing, he really looks a mess. Its all Molinas to lose if he gets careless.
7-1 Molina. Cintron is getting beat down by a guy who isn't supposed to be a puncher.
Easy round for Molina. We're entering robbery territory.
