I know there are only a few cricket followers on here but we must have a thread for the India test series.
All rosy after the first test but we are getting royally roasted today, we'll be lucky to post 100+
Anyone watching?

I'm a big cricket follower. Not able to watch today though but just checked the score, 127-8. Not good clearly but England have made a bit of a habit of getting out of situations like this over the last couple of years. I think we could blow them away in 1st Inns but only problem is I think tomorrow will be much better for batting.
All in all not such a bad first innnings total in the end. It's great having someone like Broad who can really dig in. I think the match is far from over and we do have an early breakthrough. We will be okay.
Respectable first innings in the end for this pitch. And a wicket in the first ball of India's innings. Still think batting will be at its best on days 2 and 3 though before becoming a nightmare on 4 and 5.
England's innings showed the (occasional) benefit of having such a deep batting order. Swann at 10 must be one of the strongest No10s in a long time. In normal circumstances though having a long batting line-up doesn't have much benefit as if the recognised batsmen struggle the lower order almost certainly will too. Not today though.
Been out and about today, thought about popping into the pub at about 3.30 but didnt
Cracking spell from Broad, its all very finely balanced, Alistair Cook seems to be the Indians bitch. 5 highlights it is then.
England kicking arse here. I really think we can make 500 here and really pressure the Indians leaving them with a tough 400 or so to go for in a final innings chase.
Yeah, typical. Wicket down, here come the flood gates. Fingers crossed! :-\
That was really fucking stupid ;D
Im watching on crictime and the commentary team are all Indians so its a bit dour to say the least.
Had a look on bbc and it appears Strauss went to India at tea and asked them to rethink their appeal. They did and Bell bats on.
Apparently the bodylanguage of the fielder on the boundary indicated to Bell and Morgan that it was a four.
So, I'm up to 500 all out again. Morgan is hitting like a madman!
Any sport where 2 of the biggest factors in determining the winning team can be a.) the toss of a coin at the start of the game, and b.) the weather - just aint a sport in my book.
The number of times I've listened to Jack Bannister on Talk Sport, when asked who will win a match, say "It depends on the toss at the start, whomever gets to bat first should win."
What a load of bollox!
India won the toss in the first test and got battered, they also won the toss in this test and are getting hammered. Previous test win to that was Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka won the toss and got battered, before that the final test in Aus, Australia won the toss and got battered.
England havent lost a test since the third test in Australia, a toss they won.
You'd rather win the toss than not but clearly it isnt the be all and end all its made out to be by some.
The weather is the weather and nothing can be done about that although point taken. I cant think of another sport where the weather can directly influence a result like it can in cricket, in other sports its generally good enough to play or not.
Miserable cunt, go and watch your fat darts blokes ;D
Haha, funny post.
England are looking grand. Just maybe we can make that magical 500 and have a good 5 sessions to go at them. :D
And the talisman goes........;D
fuck off H!
Yeah I know Im replying to myself ;D but that was a massacre. Best team in the world blown away twice on the bounce. India will have to show some srious arsehole to get anything out of this now.
England are very good, India are not very good.
Picked up where we left off by the looks of things, India bang in trouble yet again, 82 - 4
Dravid, Tendulkar Sehwag all gone cheaply.....nice.
Next test already? Had no idea, better find myself a stream!
Tendulker appears to be past it with this run of form. I saw him play years ago in Harrogate in some small time match and he scored a century and a six or two, very exciting, but many many years ago.
Make that 100 - 6 ;D
195 - 1
Broad, Bresnan and Prior are going to muller them again, they've got to get Cook, Bell, Pieterson Morgan and Bopara first ;D
Its going to get ugly again for India.
