Johnny 'The Entertainer' Nelson
Jermaine 'Bad Intentions' Taylor
'Magic' Matthew Hatton
Marco Antonio 'Babyfaced assassin' Barrera
Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik, seeing how it wasn't hard to find him
Ricardo "El Matador" Mayorga, he was more the bull than the matador
"The Iron Boy" Ivan Calderon, his KO% says it all, the only part they got right was boy, seeing how he's 35 and looks like a 12 yr old
Anthony 'Sugar Ray Clay Jones Jr' Small - what a prick! - Maybe more apt would have been: Anthony 'A-Force, The Hitter, Extremist' Small!
Andrew KID THUNDER Hartley , never was an egg broken by his power.
Glenwood THE REAL BEAST Brown , hmmm i think not, Mr Mugabi was the Beast.
Chris SIMPLY THE BEST Eubank , again i think not .
Audley A-FORCE Harrison , what a twat this guy is.
Darren THE RAGING BULL Corbett, hmmm FAT BASTARD would have been more to the point.
Anthony SUGAR RAY-CLAY-JONES JR Small , need we say anything about this pathetic excuse for a human being.
Smokin' Bert Cooper
Tye Big Sky Fields.... for the time he spent gazing up into it.
Herol "Bomber" Graham.
Junior "Hitter" Witter.
Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker
Owen "What the Heck" Beck - although that seems appropriate in his last 5 fights
Floyd "Pretty Boy" Mayweather
Didn't Tye Fields play basketball in the 'Big Sky' conference? Still a lame nickname.
'The Galveston Giant' Jack Johnson - 6'1...giant??? Not to me.
Peter 'Hurricane' McNeely - Really?
One ironic one for you Stanley 'The Michigan Assassin' Ketchel....(Ironic because he was shot and killed).
Back in 1900 jack johnson was probably like a giant. When you watch unforgivable blackness it looks like hes at least a head taller than everyone else, although that might have just been because of his pimp shoes.
Hey show some respect for Bert Cooper. The man was an animal.
He came VERY CLOSE to knocking out Evander Holyfield and Michael Moorer.
He pretty much destroyed anyone who wasn't a contender.
Bert Cooper was a mean bad ass fucker that was built like an oak tree.
Cooper did punk out against Foreman, but so did a lot of fighters.
Great thread idea. Ha.
You could maybe add Carl "The Cobra" Froch, never seen him spit at anyone yet, although there's still time I guess.
Here is one for you.
Gene MAD DOG Hatcher , after his 40 second KO loss against Lloyd Honeyghan ,
THE NAUGHTY PUPPY would have been more fitting than MAD DOG.
I love me some Cooper and respects come with Hipp, Holy, Mercer, Moorer brawls and exposing a few posers (Mercer war is really under appreciated I think). Knee or no knee injury I give him props for besting Norris. But man, he had a believer when Joe Frazier took him under his wing but pulled that no mas deal with Carl Williams and quit, Miller and worked to have himself dq'd with china chin Jeremy Williams too. I thought he'd bounce Williams all over the ring. He was a tragedy in that he had some serious skill and pop / crab defense but he went limp more than once and was far from a "I coulda been a contender". Sadly dude he was his own worse enemy at times. Have to say though, with Foreman I'm not totally convinced he deserved to have his pay check taken...those were some hellacious hooks to the ribs he was absorbing. Clean and brutal.
He and Oliver McCall have a match coming up. One of those "this should have happened 15 yrs ago" fights. Would have been fun.
Wow. You sir have an extensive knowledge about Bert Cooper.
"The Smoke is No Joke" it used to read on his robe when he entered the ring.
Didn't know his paycheck was withheld for the Foreman fight.
I gotta go with McCall in that one, he's been much more active against fringe contenders as of late than Cooper.
Both McCall and Cooper catch a lot of flak, but I would hate to run into either in a dark alley.
VICIOUS vivian harris!!!!!!!!:D
Sugar Shay Smith
Iran "The Blade" Barkley
He looks nothing like Wesley Snipes
