ok. anyone else sick of hearing about this on the tv?
No, they stopped showing the towers falling, so not watched it in ages. Everyone Remembers where they were on that day, it is like the JFK moment for us younger ones.
Lyle, it's not like it's your fault, nothing to feel bad about...unless you voted for Bush :-\
This will end well.

;D What year was that from? Mullet boxer is doing well in his stand up career.
My elder sister passed away in 1999. Her birthday was September 11th so it just makes me remember her more, which depending on my mood/state of mind can be good or bad.
Watch Zeitgiest the movie ;)
Watch Zeitgeist The Movie
Just want to get this out of the way before the nut cases get excited.
Skyscrapers are designed to fall down in a stacked manner in the event of a massive structural fault - it's better than having the whole thing topple over on top of half of your city.
Steel does not have to reach melting point for it's structural integrity to be severely weakened.
Most buildings are not plane-proof and fabricating the towers being taken down by a bomb would be a lot simpler and leave a lot less 'loose change' than taking the buildings down with a bomb and only pretending that a plane did it... Why needlessly over complicate your own conspiracy?
My view on the conspiracy nuts is that believing that they are completely safe and that their government is in complete control and that travesties like 9/11 only happen in the greater interest of the nation at some cold, calculating government's whim makes them feel somewhat less vulnerable than if they could possibly be at any risk from an outside force.
I did not realize it was on television.
Seriously Missy? I mean really...
Then again you are a heartless bitch so I'm not surprised...

Just saying. That little bit of wind you had over there recently was all over the news.... another little breeze was blowing over some little brown and yellow people AND people also died...that wasn't all over the news. But I'm also guessing that one of those wasnt some idiot who decided to go surfing.
Just saying.
3526 killed during the 'troubles' where's there yearly tv special and pay off?
Missy didnt leave :D
9-11 is now just a tool used to drum up irrational fears and brain dead nationalism which in itself is a deflection of the actual atrocities and blood shed carried out by our 'good' selves.
Every year we should have an Iraq war invasion day to remember the million killed and the hundreds of thousands severely injured in an illegal war initiated by scaremongering lying war criminals.
Every year? It's already everyday for loads of people. One out of 356 isn't too bad for the people in that tower.
Awkward moment number #5 Your Arab friend claims he is da bomb.

As for the original topic, I don't think it's surprising that Americans, and Westerners in general, are making a big deal out of the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11. It was a shocking, traumatic day, and because of all the new technologies and media coverage it was probably the most documented event of its kind in human history. I still remember the awful feeling in my stomach as I watched it all unfold live on CNN that morning...
Also, the cynical side of me is not surprised that every media outlet with the rights to 10 seconds of footage it going to be running it constantly in an attempt to boost their ratings.
Whether you support their actions or not, what the United States has done, both domestically and internationally, since 9/11 doesn't take away from that fact that it was a horrible day and one deserving of rememberance and reflection.
Whethe the nazi's could have beaten the ruskies is debatable... But they certaintly couldn't have won a war fighting on both fronts. I'm sure we've had this discussion before!! :p
Without US involvement (which started ILLEGALLY by the way!) D-day never happens, the Battle of Britain keeps going on and perhaps the Jerrys take Moscow. Picking a fight with the USSR during the winter was a poor decision. England wasn't hurting the Krauts until the US (and some REAL Generals) got in the trenches.
Missy, why do you hate America? I know you love Americans ;D
I like Mexicans
