Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
I have a funny feeling about this and its not my farmer giles
Morales will suffer a major beating and the ref will stop the slaughter in about 8 rounds
Gayweather...opps!! I mean Mayweather...lol...he will get a 12 round beat down and realising he cant do it any more and biatch about it and saying every ones against him.....this will show everyone he has no class (we know that any way) and be better off stealing mobile phones from helpless women...lol
Job Biscuit (yep...thats my upset prediction)!!!!
eh eh!!!

Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
I see absolutely no scenario where Ortiz wins a 12 round decision against Mayweather. He's going to have to knock him out.
-
Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
it could end on a TD....even still I see Ortiz winning most of the rounds because he will be much bigger, quicker and more elusive.....I think Ortiz will shine......Ortiz will surprise us all and win using ring savvy and NOT up and personal...I can see it.....and I believe he can do it....Mayweather will be bedazzeled and WILL look old!!!
Job Biscuit (118-110.....really)!!!!
eh eh!!!
-
Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
You think Ortiz will be more elusive than Mayweather?!? Based on what?
-
Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
based on I reckon thats whats going to happen....wow....come on fella....this could be Ortiz's night...and do a number on that dirty cheap punk Gayweather...hes primed to get a nice beat down against a young pup in Ortiz
Job Biscuit (Ortiz will be on another level...u just watch)!!!
eh eh!!!

Ortiz might surprised everyone and beat Mayweather, but if he does it will be because he has too much power and not because he is more elusive. This is the same kid who couldn't get out of the way of Maidana's punches. Mayweather could be brought to the ring in a wheelchair which a shattered spine and two fractured legs and still be more elusive than Ortiz. I just don't see any justification for your argument.

Fair enough...but Ortiz is only 24 and still learning his trade....he might have one or two tricks up his sleeve.....we shall see.....but whatever happens I see a Ortiz win here.....Mayweather can only climb up that mountain so many times.....and Ortiz can forget about the Maidana affair and do a number on Floyd
Job Biscuit (Ortiz will shine)!!!
eh eh!!!

I'm sure he's put the Maidana fight behind him, but Ortiz is still going to be essentially the same type of fighter when he steps in the ring against Mayweather. He's going to come forward, get hit a lot, and throw a ton of punches with the goal of knocking out Mayweather; Ortiz would be a fool to go in there and try to win a tactical boxing match.
I don't think Ortiz will win, but it's a compelling fight based purely on his power and I'll be watching. An upset would cause waves throughout boxing.
-
Mayweathes finds a way to beat everyone, sumone posted ortiz is 'learning his trade' well hes gona have a nightmare against an established ring general like floyd, who adapts to win, Against whoevers infront of him, im sure ortiz is fresh, young and hungry but i only see pacman having a chance of beating floyd (if it ever happens...!) at the moment, i think cos hes bin out a while people hav forgot how gud mayweather is,
-
Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
You're joking right? Morales won't come close to losing to this kid Cano. I have no idea why GBP is even putting him in the ring with Morales after what Morales did against Maidana. Think, what if this kid was in against Maidana?
-
Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
Mayweather is certain to win this fight, put your house on it
ortiz has about 4 rounds to knock him out, after that mayweather will make it look easy
-
Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
i can't stand mayweather.
i wish he would get ko'd more then anyone.
i'd LOVE to see him lose.
victor ortiz is not going to get it done.
dude quit a few years ago against maidana and has fought carefully chosen opposition since...
he's not faster. he's not craftier. he's not got greater stamina... what do you think happens when he realizes that floyd hits harder, faster and at will? (while his punches are blocked and slipped with ease)
i hope it happens...but i know better.

im not sure ortiz has carefully picked opposition since
Berto was a big risk i thought
i seem to remember a lot of people on here thinking he would lose

I hope so but highloy doubt it. He may eat some more leather than we are expecting, even get rocked once or twice, but has the ring generalship tp pull it out convincingly.

Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
If Mayweather is even near his normal level he will beat Ortiz. I've watched several times carefully the last fights of Ortiz and found him better at all than DLH. Mayweather has weapons to unarmed Ortiz. One of the main reason why Ortiz obviously will lost that fight is his slowness, formal boxing and unability to defend himself. He's like overrated and hyped Fernando Vargas.

Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
I see Ortiz's combinations and overall pressure will give Floyd some problems early maybe even knock him down........But then I see Floyd adjusting and making Ortiz quit in the later rounds......Hope Im wrong.
I would love to see how Floyd would deal with a bad cut.

Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
Don't know anything about Morales opponent so wont pretend i know what i'm talking about but Morales could suddenly get old, although he had a good performance against Maidana he could be ripe for the taking any day now. Still an absolute living legend though. ;D
Ortiz definitely has a chance, there's been bigger upsets. (i think )
Just have a feeling that Ortiz may be a bit starstruck/occasion might get to him/could be too respectful and wont fight his fight or even get started but it's unlikely.

You mean Morales hasn't gotten old yet?

exactly, i mean we were all shocked by his performance against Maidana cause he magically turned back the clock that night, but don't get things twisted, Morales is nowhere near his prime

Please refrain from use of the word "WE"---seeing you like using it to try to validate your views in a group sort of way. I wasn't shocked at all by Morales' performance, nor was Ron Borges or any other aficionado worth a damn.
-
Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
Mayweather will batter Ortiz. Don't even need to say anything else on this matter I don't think.
-
Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
I can see Mayweather getting caught and maybe hitting the canvas. But Mayweather has heart and a ego. If Mayweather don't get RJJ(Tarver 2), he will adjust and still beat Ortiz. Mayweather recent fights, he been barely slipping punches. He actually been getting touch a lot. But Ortiz don't jab or even pretend to jab as a blinder. I can't see Ortiz winning.
Mayweather is the Silvia of boxing. Even if Ortiz is beating Mayweather the first half of the fight, he is still skilled enough to pull off the win in the final rounds of the fight.

that's why Morales was being considered a 6-1 underdog going into the Maidana fight, and given his weak performances against mediocre opposition like Alfaro, Limond, and Lorenzo, no one expected him to put on that great of a performance let alone with one eye
YOU don't know shit dude lol you have a constant case of foot in your mouth syndrome, and Ron Borges the idiot who constantly says boxing is dying yet is boxers make nearly triple with MMA fighters do, and rarely do under at least 800 K buys

hey he's not the first guy to pick gloves to benefit him, seeing how Manny use 8 oz gloves against Margarito when the rules state that anything above 147 is 10 oz gloves

Well yeah course he has but, he hasn't took a beating like he's an old man quite yet has he ;)
Anyway the fact that i said he could be ripe for the taking any day now surely shows i think his age could be his downfall soon

yes, yes i was, but that's beside the point, he still picked gloves that benefited him over his opponent

It also benefited those who wanted to see Margarito's face beaten to a pulp. But I see your point.

Re: Two legends of the Ring will Lose this weekend
Truly hope ur right but........In June 2005 I spoke to Arturo Gatti and Buddy McGirt on a conference call just before his fight with Floyd. I was working for a site called rabbitpunchboxing.com and was assigned to call in at that conference. Buddy and Arturo were saying the strategy they were going to beat Mayweather with was called "Hacoona Matata" whereby Gatti was going to try to hit Floyd right behind the left ear whenever he did that shoulder roll thing. Dont know why McGirt called it "Hacoona Matata" if thats slang for that part behind the ear or what. I spoke to Buddy first and then asked Arturo if it was true. He said yes, they were going to hit ANY AVAILABLE TARGET---hips, elbows, biceps, behind the ear, to try and inflict any kind of pain and slow him down. The problem was Floyd was so goddam fast, Gatti couldnt touch him anywhere, Hacoona Matata or anywhere else for that matter.
Now we're hearing Ortiz will try the same thing---hit any target legal or borderline-legal. I think despite the 6 years that have elapsed since Floyd's fight with Gatti, that Floyd hasnt really lost much speed if any, and that Ortiz will suffer the same fate as Arturo, who quit after 6. In fact Gatti had a better chin so Ortiz prob wont make it past 4 or 5 and will quit in the same fashion he quit against Maidana.
-
I dont think Ortiz chin is questionable and he is mentally tougher these days...and i can see Floyd in that 2nd round against Mosley...and Ortiz will keep chipping away at Floyds resolve and Floyd will go into defense mode and will not win many rounds...118-110 for Ortiz
job biscuit (u heard it here 1st)!!!
eh eh!!!

Those who need more respect from others have none deep inside themselves. Sorry to hear your juvenile tooting of your pencil-dick, BIOTCH. There are good medications you can take for your problem.

Actually if you look at how many posts you have each made and the percentage of respect points which are punch power you get another picture.
Takes two to tango anyway and a couple of us are sick of editing the more cutting swear words out of posts,so stop getting too personal on the front page you guys, you know where to take it, we have our own ring here, away from the public and young kids who can read it, there's still limits in there though; you dont bring family or race into it. ;)

Thank you Andre, you are right. Just realized it thanks to you. I got 50% Punch power to Total posts ratio, while ELTerrible only has about 9%. Great observation. :) That is a total wipeout in terms of who gets the most respect.

Ortiz was definitely rallying when he decided to do that kiss and hug fest which got his stupid ass knocked out. This prediction may have been true
