I think Floyd will stop both Pac and Khan in the next 12 months. I really hope he sparks Khan though, that lad gets right on my tits.
Re: Khan things Floyd was lucky not to be disqualified.......
in some ways he has a point
i dont think there should have been a disqualification but fighters do get disqualified for that kind of stuff, and therefore he was lucky
he would also have been unlucky if he had have been disqualified
and as amir points out, it was flotd mayweather so he would never have been disqualified where as other "lesser" fighters may have
get me?

Have you got a head cold Mark?
Re: Khan things Floyd was lucky not to be disqualified.......
no but the fact I have to return to work tomorrow after being off since 1st September is probably going to bring one on......
Re: Khan things Floyd was lucky not to be disqualified.......
I wonder if Victor had done that Floyd what Cortez would have done?
It's a fair question.
I have no doubt whatsoever that had a no name opponent such as Zbik against Chavez, or Gomez against Canelo had pulled that, they would have been DQ'd immediately.
Re: Khan things Floyd was lucky not to be disqualified.......
Personally I don't see any way it could have been called a DQ .
Tit for tat unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Floyd could have gone down like Dan Sherry but didn't

Why?? The ref clearly told the boxers to fight on!!

hadn't seen that. Oh dear
Re: Khan things Floyd was lucky not to be disqualified.......
Everything Khan says is picked up on and printed.
90% of this forum would look just as stupid in his position.

Agreed. He is just saying these things to make a future fight with floyd more interesting. He even said how he has a bit of a banter with him on twitter. He also said how much of a good fighter floyd is and that it would take a clever and fast fighter to beat him.
Re: Khan things Floyd was lucky not to be disqualified.......
Khans being silly. Floyd was a cheap asshole but a legal cheap asshole. Ortiz broke a rule and got docked for it. Khans just throwing gas on it. One thing I've wondered though is if Mayweather stepped on his foot too.
Re: Khan things Floyd was lucky not to be disqualified.......
This is the first time Khan has said something sensible. I commend the lad and would now sucker punch him only the one time.
Re: Khan things Floyd was lucky not to be disqualified.......
hey guys come on get behind one of our few British champions! Once Froch retires (soon) its going to be him and a few lesser known entities left, and his speed gives him 'some' chance against an ageing Mayweather even though I agree Floyd is the hot favourite until at least 2013.
tbh I think both Khans statements are valid - even though they appear contradictory, that doesnt mean that both views can't be held simutaneously.
Dont let that Northwest accent put you off!
Re: Khan things Floyd was lucky not to be disqualified.......
If I was Floyd, I would have reacted the same way. He made weight, promoted the fight, made all those gimmicks on 24/7, had 50 Cent carry his belts, and trained so damn hard for the fight just to get headbutted three times in four rounds and get completely disrespected by some "too young" punk fighter. Justice served cold.

A perfect example of that is the Judah fight. Floyd should have been DQ'd the moment Roger jumped in the ring and started a brawl.

Judah could easily have been disqualified for his two blatantly illegal cheap shots before Roger entered the ring though, all a ref should need to DQ a fighter instantly right there imo.

It is a fair question and for once in his life Khan has made a sensible observation. If it was anyone else except Mayweather and Cortez we would have seen a disqualification.

Didn't anyone post that clip where Cortez can clearly be heard saying "fight on"? It's not loud and he is looking off at god knows what, but he did say it. Not to mention that any other ref would have been a lot more clear in stepping in to break and resume the action(although I'd bet Ortiz still would've been trying to kiss and make up) so it's a moot point. As for the notion of it being the other way around, Floyd wouldn't be where he is if he flagrantly headbutted people then fail to defend himself, try and make out with his opponent or look to the ref for help afterwards. I was pissed off at the time to, but Floyd just put a clueless mental midget in his place for getting dirty end of story.
