if not id be torn by an unlimited cash flow... you could fix alot of problems with that
or good health for my family.
so i would prob opt to have a magic touch that heals any health problem in the world... thus giving me both wishes at once as i would have an unlimited cash flow by charging people to be healed :)

My first wish would be to have total and absolute control of life and the universe and everything in it until such a time when I wanted to relinquish it.

I'd go much simpler than you all:
I'dwish to have the same power as the genius to grant wishes and that I could grant them to myself too if i'd wish but without the limitations he might have and/or being confined in a lamp/whatever device and that this power to grant wishes wouldn't cause me any kind of undesired effects.
Money, health, reset button, solving any problems I find relevant in one click :D

I'd just wish to be truly happy always. That way I'd always be happy, no matter what happened, rich or poor.
Having a mystical floating all powerful Genie could be a huge leverage on so many issues, people. Might not even use it just pull him out as a bargaining chip and or blackmail ;D Though you would have to seriously monitor your own casual conversations as to not slip up and blurt out " I wish" after a friend says something minor relating to a hot chick or sporting event etc.

If anyone would want to be able to use what they wished for, then I believe that they should first ask for invincibility (not immortality because there are some significant drawbacks to being immortal and it's not good). If not, they might be involved in an accident (like be hit by lightning or a huge meteorite) the moment they got their wish.
I would not ask for immortality as that is boring. I would just ask to kill Bilbo and then watch The Lion King.
