Are Coldplay the shittest band in the world?

I would have to argue that is indeed the case. I am currently sitting through their abortion of a new album and have come to the almost instant conclusion that it is total and utter shit. They have at least produced some decent individual tracks in the past, but this album has absolutely nothing. A lot of sheen, but no heart within whatsoever and a total lack of tunes. This makes 'Lulu' look like the album of the year.

Chris Martin needs to bugger off, lose his hair and spend more time having sex with his wife. Music is clearly not his forte. Crap, crap, crap.

I would argue that Coldplay are the shittest big band in the world today, and boy, that takes some doing.

What do you guys think? Is there anything worse than Coldplay?

Why on earth do they all try to have this silly 'big' U2 sound. Just make sure you have some bloody tunes first. Wankers.

Yes, 'Clocks' is a rubbish song and 'A rush of blood to the head' a massively overrated album. I love 'The Scientist', but as an album? Nah, it doesn't hold up at all.

For me, as a singles band, they have always been pretty solid, but I have just never listened to an album that really holds together in any real way. With this new record, I don't even see where the singles are. All a bit of a mess.

Not heard the new album yet, but their performance at Glastonbury this year, I thought, was superb.

Like I say, as a singles band they are very good. But the new album is poor, I was hoping for at least a few decent singles. Not even that this time.

I agree they are certainly no Jesus Jones but to say they are the shittest band in the world is going a bit far.

I'm talking about in the here and now though and I have never heard such a poor release from a big band in such a long time. Like I say, this makes Lulu look like album of the year.

I've no time for coldplay what with Steps reforming.

I recon England rules music better bands by far over the years.
But Coldplay takes the cake as the worse in the world, Also that fukking band with the two brothers (one of thems an angry pretentious pratt)who play every song like its a Beatles classic I loathe their stuff too its all been done they just reworked and claimed. Ireland has some great bands too, but U2 suck dogs balls except for maybe one song that hasnt that lead guitar whining in the U2 pitch.
But I would go and see any of them if I had to, against Bruce Springsteen cause that dude is a collector of his own turds he loves himself so much it makes me ill,he has one ok song too the fart sniffing prick.

I will not have a bad word said against Bruce Springsteen. He has made a lot of good songs and 'Thunder Road' is clearly in my top 100 of all time. Sublime.

The thing with modern bands that bugs me is that they only have to write 12 new songs every 3 years and it appalls me that any artist can ever produce low quality material. There is just no excuse for it.

Totally, Springsteen is a great. I have a box set of his and some of those '70's albums are really good.

I like Born in the USA too, some really good songs on there.

never bought a coldplay album or single and never will.

I brought into the hype and bought the x:y album and to be honest, I actually thought that conceptually, it was a pretty clever album. Pretty soothing too...
