haha.....
My word, that was a bit sad. Floyd sounded utterly mental and that's as racist as you can be too.
I agree with the radio guy, Floyd has ducked fighters. He didn't fight Margarito nor Cotto and two years on he still hasn't fought Manny Pac.
Why do people keep going back to this? Floyd was and is a business man. He didn't duck nobody. He planned on being the P4P king and did it. He planned on being top PPV king and he is.
Floyd made a run to the top. He took the striaght line in which in your eyes, he duck and went around people. Yes he could have fought any other fighter. But the fighters he fought made the most cents for his run to the top.
Tell me, who and when did he duck anyone?
isn't this bit from a long while back?
You know how people say negative things about Wladimir Klitschko or Vitali Klitschko but at the end of the day, they can't name one person that either of them should have fought and for whatever reason didn't? Well, for Floyd there are a number of people during the course of his rise in weight that he didn't face for whatever reason. It's not like he wouldn't have been the favorite in those fights either; it's just for whatever reason he didn't face them. Recently, it was Margarito and Cotto. I believe it was pure businessman/risk/reward decisions. Why fight them when you can fight Hatton and Baldomir for the same money? Still though, he didn't face them. It's the same for Calzaghe too. He could have come over to the US earlier and he could have faced Sven Ottke, but it didn't make as much sense when he was doing big things on the other side of the pond and so the reward wasn't worth the risk.
I believe what you are referring to is when Floyd got owned by Ra The Rugged Man? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHmCYlIsX5E
The problem with Floyd is that he overreacts at the slightest provocation and he clearly knows himself he is has ducked. He just flips when it is said to his face and the results are extremely funny.
Jude knew exactly what he was doing and handled the interview just like any other social show has with Floyd in the past. Ask "Why you duckin'?", then play the victim/justice in the end. Mayweather's reaction always sparks publicity and Rude is probably going to net big money in commercial revenue from this. That is the media.
1. Ask "Why you ducking?"
2. Push the issue until Money gets mad
3. Play the victim
4. ?????
5. PROFIT
this whole thing may be staged
Floyd Mayweather, champ inside the ring...Thug and and bum outside the ring. This dude owned him. I've been watching Floyd a long time. And one thing that I've noticed is that Floyd guts extremely flustered and frustrated when someone brings up Manny. I've never seen anything like it. He's always a confident guy, no matter who he's smackin on. But when Manny is brought up, man, he gets pissy and flustered etc...
Anyone who watched Brian Kenney played those head games with floyd on friday night fights probably figured this could be their new hobby .. lol
Haha I remember that, was funny(and kind of painful) to watch. I think for Mayweathers next fight they should replace Larry Merchant with either Lennox or George Foreman for the post fight interview and have them take him to task about something or other;D. Both are terrible commentators but it would be worth it just for the prospect. "Ok floyd, go home now you're making me angry, I don't need to go back 60 years and I really will kick your ass".
Rude Jude kicks ass~!!!! never heard of the guy, but I like this MF.
He has a new fan.
So now your conspiracy theories extend to boxing matters ? ha, ha are you for real? Respect for sticking to a theme but this conspiracy stuff is becoming an obsession. Congratulations on uncovering secret plots the rest of us are obviously too dumb and naive to notice.;D
Have too say neither chap comes out of this discussion smelling of roses but yeah is kinda weird why Flo would bother ringing in to discuss stuff even. :detective: maybe Brockton is right, cue twilight zone music
I can understand people saying he has ducked Pac or Pac is ducking Floyd blah blah blah. But Floyd ducking Margarito? Come on. The guy is slow, not that different from Baldomir. Are slow straight forward guys really a threat to Floyd?
You know.... if this is true, and I'm pretty sure it is.... Floyd needs to get this thorn off his side. Just imagine if he retires without ever having faced Pac, and people keep pushing that button. Someday Floyd's just gonna snap and do something unlawful. Oh wait.... been there, done that.
Who Cares
Floyd was being a bit of a racist twit here and i'm a fan.
They both sounded like idiots.
Floyd got owned and sounded like an idiot. Radio host was saying what most of us think that he could beat Pac Man.
Both Floyd and this rude character sounded like clowns in a circus trying to get the last laugh out of an audience going through the motions of having fun in order to make their children feel like they are caring adults. The conversation would have been civilized if this rude character took a deep breath and ask Floyd about his future plans instead of acting like a vulture that found fresh road kill and none of his flying partners were around. Floyd is not a brilliant conversation and every time he is contradicted he folds like a dog surrendering his jugular. It sounded like a shouting match waiting to happen from the beginning because it was not done face to face. It might have had a different tone if Floyd was sitting in front of this man and maybe one of them would act like a grownup and the other guy would follow his example. Fans love to hear civilized discussions, Right?
I still think Floyd should just say "f*ck it" and fight Pac... just to get that monkey off his back. Floyd fans may not agree (or care), but if Floyd goes into retirement without facing Pac, people are going to be throwing it in his face until he snaps and kicks the shit out of somebody.
